Netflix is officially bringing Happy Gilmore back into the swing of things—and fans are already pumped. With the sequel Happy Gilmore 2 set to premiere on July 25, Netflix's Tudum event gave audiences their first real taste of what's to come.
And from the looks of the full-length trailer, Adam Sandler is all in for another outrageous comeback—with some unexpected help from

Adam Sandler, now 58, reunited with longtime co-stars Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald at the Netflix Tudum presentation, where the trailer dropped to roaring fanfare. Sports commentator Rich Eisen introduced the trio, while the younger cast—including Sandler's real-life daughter Sadie—joked, 'Is there actually anyone under 60 in this movie?' That lighthearted jab set the tone for what promises to be a nostalgic yet hilariously chaotic sequel.
The trailer opens with a washed-up Happy struggling to regain his mojo on the golf course. One rival even scoffs, 'Happy Gilmore sucks now?' before Sandler fires back in true Happy style, 'Eat a bag of d**ks!' It's clear that Happy's still got that unfiltered edge—even if his swing isn't what it used to be.

The heart of the story? A father doing whatever it takes to support his daughter's dreams. When Sadie's character aspires to attend ballet school, Happy and his wife Virginia (Bowen) realize they can't afford the tuition unless Happy returns to the game he thought he left behind.
What follows is a hilarious and heartfelt journey of redemption—featuring training montages, thrown golf clubs, and face-offs with old rivals.
Among the most exciting additions is Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who plays Happy's new caddy in a series of laugh-out-loud scenes. And then there's Travis Kelce—Kansas City Chiefs tight end and rising entertainment star—who delivers a surprise jump scare as a hotel worker yelling 'BOO!' right into Happy's face.

While fans may have expected Kelce in a more prominent role, scheduling during football season made that tricky. The original Happy Gilmore (1996) saw Sandler's character stumble into golf from a failed hockey career, eventually saving his grandmother's house with sheer grit and explosive talent. Now, Happy Gilmore 2 picks up with a man past his prime, weighed down by life—but still capable of that spark we all loved.
Julie Bowen's Virginia sums it up perfectly: 'Let them see the Happy I fell in love with.' Three new celebrity names have come up during Sean 'Diddy' Combs' federal sex-trafficking and racketeering trial. The names came up during the testimony of Diddy's ex-assistant Mia, who worked for the rapper from 2009 to 2017. Mia's text messages about A-listers were shown to jurors. Mia, who testified anonymously under the pseudonym, texted the Bad Boy Records founder on March 8, 2019, asking him to watch the Netflix show 'Love' by director Judd Apatow, the New York Post reported. In another text Mia sent Diddy on May 14, 2020, she spoke about the death of record executive and media mogul Andre Harrell, the man who is often credited with discovering the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper. 'Puff my heart is broken about Dre. I've spent all week crying for you as well," Mia texted Diddy. Mia later also texted Diddy about actor Chad Boseman's death. Diddy replied, "How are you? Yeah, life is crazy." Mia shared various other details about Diddy during the trial. At one point, she said that Diddy placed a tracking device on his on-and-off girlfriend Cassie Ventura's car. "He's stolen my phone many times, he's stolen Cassie's phone many times," Mia told the jury. "He's put tracking devices on her car. I'm not sure what he's capable of. I was terrified.' Mia told the jury that Diddy allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times. Diddy's defense attorney Brian Steel pressed Mia about why she did not accuse the rapper of sexual assault during settlement talks in 2017 for unpaid wages. Mia claimed that she originally asked for $10 million for bonuses, severance and overtime that Diddy allegedly owed her, and never paid. However, she settled during mediation for $400,000 – an amount that was split with her attorneys in 2017. Mia further claimed that she did not know that sexual assault could be used in settlement negotiations, adding that it was in 2024 that she discussed the sex assault claims with prosecutors for the first time.
