Bayern Munich agree deal to sign Liverpool winger Luis Diaz: reports
Bayern had an initial offer of £59 million rejected by the Premier League champions last week, but their improved bid looks set to bring the Colombia international to the Allianz Arena.
Diaz has reportedly been given permission to leave Liverpool's pre-season tour of Asia in order to complete a medical with Bayern.
He joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 and won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Anfield.
The 28-year--old made 50 appearances and scored 17 goals in all competitions last season as Arne Slot's team clinched the English title for the first time in five years.
Diaz was left out of Liverpool's 4-2 friendly defeat against AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday as speculation mounted over his future.

Arsenal fans have been waiting for a striker signing for a long time now and they finally got their wish as they shelled out big money to draft in Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon. And to add to the hype of his arrival, it was confirmed that he'd be wearing the iconic No 14 jersey, made famous by club legend Thierry Henry. 'Of course I know about the history,' said Gyokeres, about choosing that number, according to BBC. 'To be honest there weren't so many numbers available. There weren't too many to pick from. But of course, that one was available. So when I knew that it was an easy choice to take it.' Of course, the jersey has been worn by others too but Henry adds immense weight to it. According to the Arsenal website, the 174 goals in the Premier League that Henry alone scored wearing No 14 is beaten in tally only by three other numbers: 'Only players wearing the number 10 (180 goals), number 7 (203), and number 8 (212) jerseys have bettered Henry's record.' Henry joined Arsenal in 1999 and was assigned the number that been worn by Martin Keown previously. The French striker had another spell at the club where he wore No 12 on loan. Theo Walcott was Henry's successor to the No 14 jersey, and then came Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who also went on to lead the Arsenal. The last player to wear No 14 at Arsenal was Eddie Nketiah who has since gone on to join Crystal Palace. But Gyokeres is not daunted by the weight of the jersey number. 'I don't know. It's not really my intention to be compared with what he's achieved in his career,' Gyokeres said. 'Especially here. I just want to do my own thing and show my qualities. Of course he was an amazing player, but different from me. I just want to try to do my own thing.' On the striker wearing that number, manager Mikel Arteta told the club website: 'I think I use the word conviction. That's the first thing that I noticed when I spoke to him. Someone very determined, someone that was already attached to the club, the way he was talking about the club, the history, in this case Thierry [Henry], and what the shirt represented. I felt it, so when you feel it, go for it.' Club captain Martin Odegaard said he was looking forward to joining up with the striker. 'I think you've all seen what he's done in his career so far. Especially the last season at Sporting, the numbers speak for themselves. He's a very complete player. He's physical, strong, fast, good finisher, and intelligent as well. I think he's a very complete striker and you can also see the hunger, the energy he brings. I'm really excited to have him with the team. He's only trained a few times, but you can already see the quality, the energy, and the willingness. FIFTH TEST: India hoping to avoid unforced errors and seek salvation at Oval
LONDON: Soon after the loss at Lord's, India captain Shubman Gill admitted they dominated for most of the time in the past three matches but lost two of them because of some bad sessions. The India captain was absolutely right. Except for the fourth Test, India were ahead in the remaining three on most of the occasions but ended up on a losing side in two matches. They either let the opponents off the hook or squandered advantage opening doors for England to sneak in. At Leeds, two batting collapses and five dropped catches in England's first innings cost them dear. In the first innings, they were 430/3 and were bowled out for 471. Gill and Co then went on to grass five catches allowing opponents to reach only six runs shy of their total. In the second essay, they wilted from 334/4 to 364 all out. English openers then floored them with 188-run partnership as the hosts chased down the target. In reply to England's 387 in the first innings at Lord's, they were 248 for three when Rishabh Pant ran himself out in his bid to give KL Rahul strike to complete his century. That changed the match as Rahul slammed ton but India could only add 139 runs to end on the same score as their English counterparts. Later in the game, they had reduced England to 87/4 at one stage but Joe Root and Ben Stokes added 67 runs for the fifth wicket as England set a target of 193. Chasing a small but tricky target, India lost four wickets inside 18 overs to end the Day 4 at 58/4 thus losing the grip of the match. They eventually lost by 20 runs. Lord's was not an aberration as Gill and Co occupy the top four spots in conceding the most extras in an innings. They gave away 39 extras during England's innings in Manchester where Stokes-led side accumulated 669 runs.
