'I'm on Universal Credit and want to be paid twice a month - how do I do it?'

A Universal Credit claimant has questioned whether requesting to receive payments twice a month was a "straightforward process".
They said splitting up their benefit payment would "massively help" with budgeting.
However they weren't sure how to go about it, and took to Reddit to ask for help.

They posted: "I was wondering how I'd go about requesting to be paid twice monthly and is it just straightforward process?
"I just believe it would massively help me with budgeting bills etc."
One reply read: "You can phone them or ask in your journal choosing the option 'payments' when messaging.
"It's pretty straightforward. I asked by phoning them.
"I had to have a short conversation with a case manager or supervisor... I can't remember exactly what their job title was, but it couldn't be authorised by the first person I spoke to."
They continued: "If you do have your payments changed to twice monthly, the change will happen in your next statement.
"You will get half of your entitlement on your current normal pay date, and the other half 14 days later.
"Then you wait until your normal payment date again."
A second response said: "Agree journal request the phone is a long wait!"
According to the gov.uk website, people can ask to have their Universal Credit paid differently if you need help managing a single monthly payment.
An Alternative Payment Arrangement (APA) could be set up so that claimants receive payments twice a month instead of once a month.
The website states that people were more likely to get an APA if they are in rent arrears, experience or homelessness or domestic abuse, or have addiction problems, mental health issues or learning difficulties.

LONDON,, August 18, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--euNetworks Group Limited ("euNetworks"), a European critical bandwidth infrastructure company, has today announced it has been awarded an 'A' grade by environmental reporting organisation CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) for the 2024 disclosure cycle of their Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA). The A grade is the highest score that can be attained in the SEA and is awarded to organisations that demonstrate leadership and best practice in driving environmental changes in their supply chain. Organisations are assessed on a number of criteria relating to how they engage with their suppliers on Risk Management, Governance & Business, Scope 3 emissions and Targets. To attain an A grade, organisations must rank highly across all categories, demonstrating a fully integrated approach to reducing emissions throughout their supply chain. The achievement is a key milestone in euNetworks' ongoing commitment to sustainability. The company is a signatory to the Climate Pledge - a cross-sector initiative founded by Amazon and Global Optimism that brings together leading global companies committed to addressing the climate crisis and accelerating the decarbonisation of the economy. As part of this commitment, the company has pledged to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, and has set science-based targets aligned with the 1.5°C pathway across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Sustainability is deeply embedded in euNetworks' business strategy, and engaging with our suppliers to ensure we are reducing our Scope 3 emissions is crucial to ensuring we drive decarbonisation beyond our own direct operations." Trisolino continued: "Collaborating with our suppliers, customers and partners is key to driving true environmental progress, and we will continue to build on the momentum we have gained through our sustainability practices so far to forge a greener future for our entire value chain." The main summer transfer window into its final couple of weeks Not long after a bonus mini-window this year for the Club World Cup in June, the primary period for player trading opened for Premier League and EFL clubs on June 16. They will have until deadline day on September 1 to conclude any trading. And this year, the window shuts earlier than the previous 11pm deadline — at a universally agreed and very civilised time of 7pm. As long as deal sheets are submitted to the FA before that 7pm deadline, clubs and staff have a grace period of two hours to conclude paperwork on any late deals.
