2025 Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: OLB BJ Ojulari
Yahoo17-07-2025
The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2024, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Next up is OLB BJ Ojulari.
BJ Ojulari background, 2024 season
A second-round pick by the Cardinals from LSU in 2023, Ojulari's rookie season was affected by an offseason injury although he began making an impact in the second half of the season.
Then, his 2024 season was completely lost by a torn ACL suffered early in training camp that landed him on injured reserve Aug. 5 for the entire season.
BJ Ojulari 2025 contract details, cap hit
In the third season of his rookie four-year contract, Ojulari's base salary this year will be $1.532 million with $1.389 million guaranteed. The salary-cap charge is $2.345 million.
2025 questions, roster outlook
The Cardinals added Josh Sweat in free agency, selected Jordan Burch in the third round of the draft and re-signed unrestricted free-agent edge Baron Browning to a two-year contract. Zaven Collins returns as does 2024 fifth-round pick Xavier Thomas. It's a crowded room.
Ojulari surely has the ability to be one of the team's top pass-rushers, but the unknown is how he will be affected by the torn ACL a year out from the injury.
