War 2 actor Jr NTR loses temper at pre-release event, snap at fan, ‘Won't take me a second to….'
War 2 actor Jr NTR lost temper at pre-release event of the Bollywood movie produced by Yash Raj Films. Ahead of Bollywood debut with War 2, the 42-year-old Tollywood superstar became furious after a fan would not stop screaming to get his attention. Furious over a loud fan, he said, "It won't take me a second to keep the mic down and leave the stage. Shall I speak? Maintain silence," Bollywood Life reported. Carrying on with the speech, he added, 'I would like to thank the whole team of YRF Studios for taking care of me, making me feel like home.' During the event, Jr NTR revealed that he was nervous about being accepted in the Hindi belt because he is from South India. He further noted that Hrithik gave him a warm reception. "Thank you for accepting me with wide and open arms, and for that beautiful hug you gave me on the first day. This is not a movie about NTR going into Hindi cinema, but Hrithik equally coming into Telugu cinema," Bollywood Life quoted Jr NTR as saying. Sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR will mark his triumphant debut in Hindi films with Ayan Mukerji's spy action thriller on August 14. The craze for Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's face-off is over the top as the upcoming movie has struck a new milestone on Book My Show. It became the second Bollywood film after Prabhas starrer Adipurush to cross 1 million interest mark on BookMyShow. This is an indicator of the massive anticipation among cinephiles, signalling a thunderous opening. With a powerful narrative and strong cast, War 2 is the latest entry and the sixth film in YRF's Spy Universe. The ensemble cast features Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.

EXCLUSIVE! Coolie (Hindi) box office prediction: Rajinikanth starrer will grow based on word-of-mouth, predicts trade expert: 'If you compare it with Pushpa 2, KGF2 or Baahubali 2...
The film has received a thunderous response in its advance bookings, and while it is expected to open with humongous numbers globally, it is also expected to take a decent start in its Hindi version in the northern parts of the country, as per trade expert Ramesh Bala. read more The massy megastar Rajinikanth is set to make his grand entry with swag and charm in Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial Coolie, which also features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan with a cameo from Aamir Khan. The film has received a thunderous response in its advance bookings, and while it is expected to open with humongous numbers globally, it is also expected to take a decent start in its Hindi version in the northern parts of the country, as per trade expert Ramesh Bala. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Sharing his prediction about Coolie's India and global box office, Bala told Firstpost, 'I'm expecting India to be 100 crore plus gross. And, globally, it will be 150 crore plus.' Talking about his prediction of the Hindi version business, he said, 'I'm thinking, in Hindi, it will grow based on word-of-mouth. It will not have a 50 crore net opening, like KGF 2 or Pushpa 2. It may have an opening on the lower side because it is not a franchise movie. Like, it is very popular, but it is also clashing with War 2. So, Coolie, the opening will be good for a Kollywood movie. But, certainly, if you compare it with Pushpa 2 or KGF2 or Baahubali 2, it may not be on the same range on day one.' 'It may grow. If the word of order is good, I think, eventually, if screens and shows are increased, by the weekend, it may do even more numbers. But I'm hoping the opening will be in the medium range, but which may be good for a Tamil movie. The Tamil movie has not opened that huge in Hindi in recent times.' STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD When asked whether Aamir Khan's cameo will help Coolie in the Hindi markets, Bala replied, 'Certainly. I think that was the idea, I think. Because Aamir Khan was saying that was the idea, they had earlier wanted to cast even Kamal Haasan in Aamir Khan's role, but it eventually went to Aamir Khan because they made sure that Nagarjuna from Tollywood, Upendra from Karnataka, Soubin from Kerala, so Aamir Khan from Hindi, like, they have one star each from each major industry. So, I think there is a plan originally. That's why they cast Aamir Khan in this important role.' 'And, certainly, Aamir Khan's presence in the posters Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan posters, are being used for the Hindi promotion. Certainly, that will help in the Hindi heartland. You know, Aamir Khan is a big Bollywood star. And, hopefully, his presence in the movie justifies his stardom and the fans are happy with the screen time and stuff because it is it is either a cameo or an extended cameo. So, certainly going in the market, certainly, Aamir Khan helps, truly,' he added. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Sandhya Mridul swore off Bollywood after bitter experiences, recalls how Yash Chopra persuaded her to do Saathiya: ‘Hum achhe se rahenge'
Sandhya Mridul began her career in television, making a name for herself with Mahesh Bhatt's critically acclaimed TV show Abhiman. In a recent interaction, Sandhya admitted that Mahesh Bhatt often praised her acting in front of industry folks, which led to many offers from the Hindi film industry. However, she revealed that she didn't like the way the film industry functioned, where female actors were often reduced to just a pretty face. After getting multiple offers to play shallow roles and asked to wear bikini in films, Sandhya received a surprising call from Yash Raj Films, offering her a key role in their film Saathiya. Speaking about that moment, she said, 'I got a call saying that Yash Raj Films is trying to call me. I thought somebody is pranking me because I was a TV actor and I had not worked for three months during that time.' Recalling her first meeting with Yash Chopra, Sandhya shared, 'I met Yash ji himself and I was like why is he meeting me?' Talking about Yash Chopra's reaction, she said, 'Chopra told me, 'Bache I love you. I love your work. I don't leave a scene of your TV show, Koshish. My wife wants to meet you. Also, she loves you, we love you.' He was lovely. He told me, 'Beta, ye picture kar le (Do this film). This film will do well.' Initially, Sandhya refused the offer and told him, 'Mereko pictures nahin karni hai' (I don't want to do films) 'because I don't understand Bollywood.' She added, 'I said this to the king of Bollywood.' Despite the refusal, Yash Chopra's reaction was the most heartwarming. According to Sandhya, he said, 'You are a truthful person. We are not like that. Hum achhe se rahenge, hum bade pyaar se tereko rakhenge (Don't worry we are not like those people, we will keep you nicely).' She recalled how Chopra insisted she meet the director of the film and once again requested her to join the project. After meeting Saathiya's director, Shaad Ali, Sandhya realised she shared an old connection with him, which made her feel more inclined to accept the role. However, upon watching the Tamil version of Saathiya, she found her role underwhelming. 'I came to Shaad and told him role 'it is boring'. Yash Chopra then told me, 'You do this role according to you. You will breathe life into this role, and that's why I am bringing you in.' He was too encouraging.'
