T-Mobile MVNO Mint Mobile calls this its "Craziest phone deal yet"
The deal coincides with a huge update that brings RCS (Rich Communication Services) Messaging to Mint and Ultra Mobile subscribers. Instead of old-school SMS and MMS texting, Mint and Ultra Mobile customers will get benefits such as the ability to send and receive longer messages, high-resolution images and videos, typing indicators, read receipts, end-to-end encryption on supported platforms, and more. RCS is available regardless of whether the subscriber is using an iPhone or an Android device.
For Mint Mobile subscribers this means that they won't have to switch apps or lose helpful features just because the person they are texting doesn't use the same mobile wireless platform that they do. Mint Mobile customers also shouldn't have to lose these features because someone using a different wireless platform joins their chat.

Mint Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Fried might have been joking when he said, "When we brought this idea to our finance team, they thought we were joking." Apparently, it's no joke. Mint's plans include free mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi calling, free roaming in Canada, and more. RCS must be enabled on all devices for cross-OS RCS messaging.
If the Samsung Galaxy S25 is not your cup of tea, you can get the same deal and pay $30 a month for 24 months for unlimited premium wireless service and a Pixel 9. You must port-in your existing number and pay $720 upfront for 24 months of premium phone service along with 24 months of device payments. After 24 months, the plans renew automatically at standard rates. Unlimited customers consuming more than 35GB of data during a month could find that their data speeds have been throttled during periods when there is heavy traffic on the network.

Color options will be blue, black, and gray. It's IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance, and comes with a promise of 6 major Android updates and 6 years of security patches. Keep in mind, however, that it will be launching with Android 15 on board, so the first one of those six updates will be Android 16. The back is made from glass fiber reinforced polymer, which is advertised as being stronger compared to the "Glastic" on the A16 5G. In the box will be a 25W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM ejection tool, and a Quick Start Guide. Note that the presence of the charger in the box may vary depending on market. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 5G is thinner and lighter, has a different chipset, and added OIS to the main camera. The design is changed too for the camera island, which is now one oval thing and not three separate round ones. That's about it, and this is definitely not the biggest upgrade. Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ in for review
When you think of Galaxy S25 Edge alternatives, your mind doesn't immediately jump to the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, but maybe it should. This phone is a much closer match to the thin Galaxy than you'd think. At just 5.95mm, it's only slightly thicker than the S25 Edge (5.8mm). The Infinix is lighter, though, at just 155g, and it has a substantially larger 5,160mAh battery. What should sting Galaxy fans more is that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ also has faster 45W charging. The Hot 60 Pro+ is also a more colorful phone, coming in at no less than seven colorways - Coral Tides, Misty Violet, Cyber Green, Sonic Yellow, as well as the more conservative Titanium Silver and Sleek Black. This green model has what Infinix calls a Scent Weave Leather finish. It's a textured surface with a grippy feel, and it feels excellent to the touch. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ feels like a blade in the hand. Its curved front and rear panels are joined by a thin frame, making the package feel very refined. A thin frame The Hot 60 Pro+ looks very similar to the Hot 60 Pro from the front and back. But it's the profile that distinguishes the two. While the Pro+ has curving front and rear panels and a thin frame with rounded corners, the Pro has flat panels and a wide, flat side frame.
