Mumbai – Tata Motors has officially announced the pricing for the Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) variants of its all-electric Harrier.ev SUV, positioning it as India's most powerful and safest homegrown SUV. Priced from ₹28.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier.ev QWD is set to go on sale with bookings opening on July 2.
This latest variant of the Harrier.ev boasts dual-motor all-wheel drive technology, making it the first Indian electric SUV to offer such a setup. The front motor delivers 158 PS (116 kW), while the rear motor pushes out 238 PS (175 kW), combining for an impressive 504 Nm of torque. Tata Motors says this allows for 'supercar-like' performance and true off-road capability.
Safety is another major highlight. The Harrier.ev has earned a full 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP, scoring a perfect 32 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 45 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection.
The full Harrier.ev range now starts at ₹21.49 lakh for the rear-wheel-drive variants, offering multiple configurations to cater to a broader market. In addition to its performance and safety credentials, the electric SUV also offers a best-in-class MIDC-certified range of 627 km (combined P1+P2), fast charging that adds 250 km of range in just 15 minutes, and a lifetime battery warranty—setting new benchmarks in the EV space.
Speaking at the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, 'The Harrier.ev is a breakthrough product with industry-first innovations that not only address key EV adoption concerns but also raise the bar in terms of performance, safety, and value. It offers unmatched price parity with ICE vehicles and outperforms several high-end SUVs in capability.'

Tata Motors has announced the prices of the QWD variant. Based on the announcement from the brand, this variant of the electric SUV will be available at an introductory price of Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the most expensive car to roll out of the Indian manufacturer's plant. It is to be noted that the entry-level variant of the SUV will be sold at an introductory price of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) until the prices are revised. The offers two options for battery packs: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. Both configurations come with a single motor and a rear-wheel-drive layout, while the 75 kWh battery also includes an option for dual motors and all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel-drive versions of the Harrier EV produce 238 hp and 315 Nm, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with the 75 kWh battery delivers a total of 313 hp and 504 Nm. In terms of claimed range, the 65 kWh variants of the Harrier EV can cover up to 538 km on one charge, whereas the 75 kWh RWD and AWD models achieve distances of 627 km and 622 km, respectively.
