Yahoo11 hours ago

This love is still taking a toll on Maroon 5, and their eighth studio album Love Is Like will tell you all about it. Out Aug. 15, the record will include 'Priceless,' their recently-released collaboration with Blackpink's Lisa, and the new single 'All Night.'
'I feel like we've gone back to what we used to do, which is to not pay attention to where we fit and producing the music organically,' Adam Levine shared in a statement. 'This is kind of how we stuck out in the beginning when we first started our career.'

Alongside the album announcement and single release, the band shares routing details for their upcoming U.S. arena tour. The headlining run will begin on Oct. 6 in Phoenix and extend through Nov. 25 in Detroit. Maroon 5 will make stops in Palm Springs, Seattle, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Boston, and more. General sale begins Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz will provide support across the tour.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Levine reflected on how the band's writing style has changed at different points in their career. 'I've kind of gone back to writing and shutting everybody out. But Benny [Blanco] was the first guy that got me to kind of think outside of the band,' he said. Levine and Blanco previously collaborated on songs like 'Moves Like Jagger,' 'Stereo Hearts,' 'Payphone,' and more hits. 'He kind of convinced me to write music away from the band. Because I had only kept it in the band before, so we'd never had outside writers on any of that stuff.'

Cardi B Announces Her Sophomore Album "Am I The Drama?"

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Am I The Drama?, Cardi B's newest album, will finally be released on September 19. It's her first full length project since her breakout debut album Invasion of Privacy in 2018. It has not been revealed yet what collaborators or special guest features will appear on the project. Bardi is back, everyone! Cardi B's fans have been waiting quite literally years for the anticipated follow up to her breakout debut album Invasion of Privacy. Now it seems, the wait is finally over. On Monday, the Bronx-born rapper announced (to much internet fanfare) that her sophomore album titled Am I The Drama? will be released everywhere on September 19, 2025. In true Cardi B fashion, the accompanying album cover is already iconic. For the image, the rapper is dressed in a red bodysuit complete with a swooping attached hood, matching fishnet tights, and some majorly high platform pumps. To add to the drama, Cardi B is surrounded by flying crows and a cloudy sky while she strikes a pose. Cardi B teased the release one day prior for fans, releasing a teaser video clip that helped set the tone for what lies ahead for the upcoming album. Crows also appeared in the quick vignette, following Cardi as she struts through a romantic garden and even appearing on the bust of her black gown. She also released the first single from her sophomore effort last week, an upbeat single girls anthem titled 'Outside'. The rapper opened up to Rolling Stone last year about the long delay between her first album and Am I The Drama? stating that she wanted to ensure that the project she released would ultimately be up to not just her standards, but also fully reflect how she's evolved as an artist. She also welcomed three children with her now estranged husband, rapper Offset, in the time between Invasion of Privacy and now. 'I'm a different person every single day,' she told the outlet of the creative input that went into the record. 'When I'm in a good mood and I'm with my friends, [I'm] like, 'Damn, I want my shit to be played in this club.' But then I might be mad with my man, so it's like now I want to do this song. But then I want to do a pop record. I want to do my sing-y shit.' Here's to hoping it will be worth the wait. Watch this space for updates on Cardi B's second album. Margaret Cho Says Ellen DeGeneres Was ‘Really Weird and Not Nice' to Her

Margaret Cho described her strained relationship with Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on a new episode of The Kelly Mantle Show. The comedian said DeGeneres always treated her like a stranger when she came on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, despite the fact that they had been around each other for years. 'Ellen was really weird and not nice to me for most of my career,' Cho said on the show. 'I opened for her in the 1980s, when she was a headliner in comedy clubs. Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she would act like we just met.' That's weird. We go way back. It's so creepy and weird.' Cho recalled a specific incident that stuck out to her as especially odd. David Bowie appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the day after one of his concerts, at which Cho dressed up in an elaborate 'Chinese emperor outfit.' Bowie complimented the costume to DeGeneres, but the remark was edited out of the final broadcast. 'The producer, who's a really good friend of mine, had to call me and tell me, 'I can't believe she did this, but she cut it out of the show,'' Cho explained. ''But you need to know that he was going on and on about your outfit. God said your name. He loves you.'' She admitted she wasn't sure if it was actually a vindictive move, but added, 'Still, I'm going to take it personally.' DeGeneres' image took a hit in 2020 following a series of reports by BuzzFeed News in which employees at her show alleged racism, sexual misconduct, and intimidation at the hands of executive producers. Three producers were fired because of it, and DeGeneres issued an on-air apology. In 2022, singer Greyson Chance, whom DeGeneres signed to her label, told Rolling Stone he had 'never met someone more manipulative, more self-centered, and more blatantly opportunistic.' The Ellen DeGeneres Show ultimately ended in 2022 after 19 seasons. The host has since addressed the controversy on tour and in a stand-up special, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, which aired on Netflix. 'The Be Kind Girl wasn't kind — that was the headline,' DeGeneres said in the special. 'Here's the problem, I'm a comedian who got a talk show, and I ended the show every day by saying, 'Be kind to one another.' Had I ended my show by saying, 'Go fuck yourselves,' people would've been pleasantly surprised to find out I'm kind.' Florence Pugh Looks for the Light in Yungblud's Video for ‘Zombie'

Yungblud has shared a music video for his song 'Zombie,' which stars Florence Pugh. The video, directed by Charlie Sarsfield, sees the Thunderbolts actress embodying a doctor in the British NHS as she helps patients. She's steadfast at work, but breaks down at home, with the video showcasing her with a pair of angel's wings. 'The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before,' Yungblud explained in a statement. 'It's about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment. We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it's fucking scary.' The musician recently spoke to Rolling Stone about his admiration for Pugh. 'Florence Pugh, in my opinion, is one of the most exciting British artists in a long time,' he said. 'I think she has this individuality that is not adherent to anyone else. She is completely legit and individual within her own style in her own time.' When Yungblud wrote 'Zombie,' he envisioned having someone like Pugh as its visual lead. 'The song is so deep, so emotional, but so fundamentally British,' he told Rolling Stone. 'I was like mind blown watching her on set. And she's just a legend. You can tell, man. She's just sat in a pub on a Sunday with a pint of Guinness, just talking shit.' 'Zombie' appears on Yungblud's forthcoming double album, Idols, out June 20. So far he has shared several singles off the LP, including 'Lovesick Lullaby' and 'Hello Heaven, Hello.' The musician explained the concept behind the 13-track project by saying, 'We turn to others for an identity before turning to ourselves. Self-belief, self-reclamation, self-evolution and change. As we grow up, we lose our belief in magic and mystery. We begin to rationalize everything; our cage walls build up. We compare ourselves to 15 different people before we've even had our breakfast.' In August, Yungblud will take Idols on tour across North America. The run of shows will begin on Aug. 23 in Los Angeles and wrap on Sept. 21 in Toronto. Additional stops are scheduled in San Diego, Salt Lake City, Denver, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn, Boston, and more. General sale begins Friday, May 9 at 9 a.m. local.
