Replica grenade found at Bradley International Airport
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) – An item prohibited at Bradley International Airport was detected in a passenger's carry-on bag on Thursday.
TSA New England shared a photo on 'X' stating that a replica grenade was detected during security scanning. They say these types of items are not allowed to fly with passengers.

Nearly 500 items are listed on the TSA's website of things that can or cannot fly on an airplane. Items not allowed in carry-on or checked bags include the following:

Breeze Airways adds new flights from Bradley to NC
WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — Breeze Airways on Friday evening launched new route from Bradley International Airport to Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The flight will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, according to a statement. 'We are proud of our partnership with Breeze Airways as it marks its fourth anniversary at Bradley International Airport,' said Michael W. Shea, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. It's the 28th destination that Breeze serves from Hartford. In 2022, Utah-based Breeze announced plans to make Bradley a hub with permanently housed aircraft, as well as hire local pilots, flight attendants and mechanics. The hub was planned to create at least 200 new jobs in the state. The state of Connecticut provided a $1.26 million grant contingent upon those jobs. Ironman triathlon to bring thousands of athletes to Springfield area
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The western Massachusetts Ironman triathlon will return to the Springfield area this Sunday. The sporting event, which draws in thousands of athletes, will consist of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. Athletes will start with a downriver swim in the Connecticut River. The biking portion will take place from Springfield, Agawam, into parts of Connecticut, Southwick, Westfield, and West Springfield. Today's Weather Forecast Discussion Athletes have 8 and a half hours to complete the entire race. Participants have 1 hour and 10 minutes to finish the swim course, which kicks off at 6 a.m. The 56-mile bike ride will close 5 and a half hours after the last athlete enters the water. Bike riders who do not reach the checkpoint on Fowler Road in Westfield by 10:30 a.m. will no longer be permitted to continue. The run course will close 8 and a half hours after the last athlete enters the water.
