Arnold Palmer Cup heading to Tralee in Ireland for 2026 competition
The 30th Palmer Cup will take place July 3-5, 2026, at Ireland's Tralee Golf Club. Founded in 1997, the Ryder Cup-style competition features U.S. men's and women's collegiate golfers playing side-by-side against a team of their International counterparts in a series that Team USA leads all-time 15-13-1.
'We look forward to welcoming the world's best collegiate golfers to Tralee Golf Club to play boldly and honor the legacy of Arnold Palmer,' Amy Palmer Saunders, board chair of the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation, said in a release. 'In addition to introducing the next generation of young golf talent, this tournament celebrates camaraderie, honor and integrity – the qualities of good character that make a true champion.'
Tralee is one of Ireland's premier championship links courses. Designed by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, the course offers an unparalleled playing experience that blends natural beauty with a world-class challenge.
As the first European course designed by Arnold Palmer, Tralee holds a special place in Palmer's legacy. Palmer famously remarked, 'I may have designed the first nine, but surely God designed the back nine." A statue of Palmer by noted sculptor Zenos Frudakis stands near the first tee, honoring Palmer's vision and contributions to the game. A twin statue stands in front of Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Palmer's hometown of Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Dubuisson was the No. 1 amateur in 2009 before turning pro and had the potential to do the same in the pay-for-play ranks but the life of a touring pro wasn't for him. 'I feel like I've reached my limits and I know I can find pleasure elsewhere, I'm convinced of that,' the enigmatic Dubuisson said during an interview in December 2023 with France's L'Equipe. 'I spent 15 years alone on the Tour, curled up on myself. I missed contact with people. So it's just simple human relationships around golf that I want to have.' It appears his game has little rust and time will tell if this Alps Tour victory kickstarts a full-fledged comeback bid. 'It is unclear at this stage whether Dubuisson plans to build on this success and target a full comeback,' reported, noting that for the past 18 months he has been running clinics for holiday makers in Tenerife at the Abama Golf Resort. Falcons owner Arthur Blank envisions one international game per team, per year
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has said the league wants to stage 16 international games per year. The simplest math leads to one inescapable conclusion. Every team would play an international game, every year. Via Sports Business Journal, Falcons owner Arthur Blank said during a Saturday appearance on NFL Network that an 'international game every year for every team' is 'probably on the horizon.' It makes senses. Even if certain teams will create far less excitement than others, it makes sense for every team to be expected to do it once per year, for competitive reasons. For now, the league is limited under the Collective Bargaining Agreement to a maximum of 10 international games per year. In the next labor deal, it's widely expected that the number will increase to 16. With that (or possibly before that) will arrive an international broadcast package, primarily featuring European games that begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.

BASEL, Switzerland (AP) — Spain leads England 1-0 at halftime in the Women's European Championship final on Sunday after scoring a very English-style goal. Mariona Caldentey's header in the 25th minute was fair reward for Spain's precise passing patterns around the tightly packed England penalty area. It was the fourth time in England's six games at this tournament that the defending champion trailed to the first goal before halftime. The English flavor to the opening goal was in a full back's cross from the byline finding the head of an Arsenal player to score as Ona Battle sent an accurate cross from the byline to Caldentey. Caldentey had gone close with a shot just minutes before scoring and tournament top scorer Esther González also had three scoring chances. Still, England had a clear chance to lead in the 19th. Spain goalkeeper Cata Coll saved well from Lauren Hemp's low shot after her own reckless pass in the penalty area gifted the ball to the England winger. There was royalty from both nations in the VIP box watching the game. Prince William, who is the first in line to the British throne, was with his daughter Princess Charlotte.
