Storytime and 'Build A Bird' Event
11 a.m. July 22. National Naval Aviation Museum, 1750 Radford Blvd. Families, aviation enthusiasts, and young readers are invited to a special summer event at the National Naval Aviation Museum celebrating the release of the museum's newest children's book, Thach and the Blues. The event will take place in the Blue Angels Atrium immediately following the morning's Blue Angels practice demonstration. Written by the museum's education director, Dianna Hayden, Thach and the Blues introduces children to the wonder of naval aviation through the eyes of Thach, a curious duckling experiencing his first air show with his grandparents, Lolli and Pop Pop. Bands on the Beach
7 p.m. July 22. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features 12Eleven. Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo
July 25 through 27. Entertainer Bait & Tackle, 13506 Perdido Key Drive. The Perdido Key Fishing Rodeo is returning for its second year, hosted by the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce, Perdido Area Chamber Foundation, and Entertainer Bait & Tackle. This multi-species recreational tournament offers something for every angler with low-cost entry fees, raffles and prizes, and cash payouts in multiple divisions. Fishing opens July 25 at midnight. Weigh-ins take place July 26 and 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Entertainer Bait & Tackle. More details and cost info: visitperdido.com.
Bands on the Bayou
Food vendors, 4:30 p.m., band, 6:30 p.m.; July 25. Bayview Park, 2001 E. Lloyd St. The East Hill Neighborhood Association presents the Bands on the Bayou Community Concert Series. Come with chairs, blankets and family by land or water, and join everyone on the lawn at the new Bayview Community Center. Boat access is available. Local food trucks will be in attendance. The Magic of Motown
7:30 p.m. July 25. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The Motowners show is a fantastic tribute to the many great artists and songs from the classic Motown years. Expect to hear smash hits by a variety of acts including the Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. The Motowners were founded by producer Derrick Hadley in 2005 to bring this legendary music to fans everywhere. Their unique and family-friendly show is still a favorite and their classic group sound and approach never loses its universal appeal. Tickets start at $72. Gimme Gimme Disco: A Disco Theme Dance Party

Friends of the West Florida Public Library Special Summer Sale
9 a.m. Downtown Library, 239 N. Spring St. This one-day-only event will feature vinyl and audio books in addition to thousands of CDs, DVDs, and puzzles, all at great prices. The music selection includes a wide variety of genres, while the DVD collection spans dramas, comedies, thrillers, documentaries, and plenty of family-friendly options. Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show
6 p.m. July 26. Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Downtown, 8 S. Ninth Ave. America's largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show is now playing. Solve a mystery while feasting on dinner. Just beware, the culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect before you know it. This event differs from a traditional murder mystery dinner show. The actors are not dressed in costume and are hidden in the audience. Movies in the Park
6 p.m. July 26. Community Maritime Park, 301 W. Main St. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to spread out on the lawn to watch a family-friendly movie under the stars. Concessions from local food truck vendors will be available for purchase, and outside food is also welcome. Pets and glass bottles are prohibited at the event. This week's movie is A Minecraft Movie. The Greatest Showcase 2025
7 p.m. July 26. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The Greatest Showcase is an evening of dancing and performances hosted by Sasha Farber from Dancing with the Stars. The show will benefit Children's Home Society's Healthy Families Program located in in Escambia County. The evening will feature local celebrities and students from First Dance Ballroom Studio and a special performance from Sasha Farber himself. Tickets start at $46. Top Middle East broadcaster MBC Group has forged a groundbreaking partnership with Netflix under which the U.S. streaming giant will play alongside its Shahid streamer on MBC's recently launched MBCNOW entertainment content aggregator. The newly created bundle will combine Netflix and Shahid in addition to MBC's linear TV channels, under one single subscription. 'This groundbreaking partnership is one for the books,' said Fadel Zahreddine, group director of emerging media at MBC GROUP is a statement. 'To have two streaming giants – Shahid and Netflix – come together under one platform is something never seen before in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and wider MENA, and we're very excited for what's to come,' the executive added. 'This is definitely the future of streaming and content consumption,' noted Bhanu Chaddha, MBC Group's director of distribution and TV products. Commented Mohammed Al Kuraishi, head of business development and partnerships, Middle East and Africa at Netflix: 'We're thrilled to have MBC Group join forces with Netflix to bring its content to our audiences under the convenience of a single subscription.' The MBC/Netflix bundle combines Shahid's vast library of Arabic TV shows, films, and documentaries – including a substantial number of original productions – along with Netflix's full catalogue. The bundle will give customers 'a saving of more than or 21% compared to individual subscriptions,' according to the statement. Streaming is booming across the MENA region, where the OTT subscription video market, led by MBC's Shahid, generated revenues estimated at $1.2 billion in 2024, according to Omdia, which projects continued MENA market growth.
