'Yes, it's a little warm it's a little humid and there were a few uphill's. I'm very happy. I'm extremely pleased,' he said.
Jane Bareikis took the top spot in the women's division for the second year in a row.
'As they go across the bridges and through our neighborhoods... they're greeted with enthusiastic folks on the sidelines really cheering them on at every turn,' Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato said.
We spoke to one runner about why he participated in the race.

Each person has a different reason for being a part of the race, but there is one thing everyone gets.
'The crowds are out encouraging them, getting them to this finish line, you see everybody starting to cross now - a lot of smiles on their faces, a lot of excitement,' CEO of P3R Troy Schooley said.

Crowds continue to grow at U.S. Open as fans make their way in from across the country
You could tell Tuesday afternoon, the second day of the U.S. Open practice rounds, the crowd at Oakmont Country Club was getting bigger. With the increase in crowds, that means there were more lines for things like the concession stand, and just more people making their way through security, around the course and other public areas. Advertisement Despite that, fans praised the work of the security and staff. 'They're ready for it! They're ready for it,' said Rick Peluso of McCandless. 'Whoever's in charge, kudos to them, because they've done it well.' As more golf fans descend on Oakmont, Channel 11 is starting to see more and more people from outside the Pittsburgh area. Channel 11's Andrew Havranek spoke with one family visiting from Venice, Florida, which is a little south of Tampa. Chasie and Rick Haupt drove 17 hours with their twin daughters — Zoe and Pippa — who both play golf — up to Oakmont for the U.S. Open, and to visit family they have in the Pittsburgh area. It's not their first professional golf tournament. The family said they went to Scotland for the British Open last year. Advertisement Havranek asked them what it means to them to have this family time, and asked the twins what they've liked the most so far. 'It is a gorgeous golf course. It's great to be able to show them what's out there and what you can do if you really work at it someday,' Rick Haupt said. 'What's been sort of the most exciting for you this week?' Havranek asked the twins. 'Just watching them play and see how they do their strategies and stuff,' Pippa Haupt said. 'Yeah, I really like them hitting out of the rough and not making it!' Zoe Haupt added. Download the FREE WPXI News app for breaking news alerts. Follow Channel 11 News on Facebook and Twitter. | Watch WPXI NOW

Plum neighbors transform yards into parking lots during U.S. Open
Call it a makeshift business district of sorts: some neighbors in Plum have turned their yards and driveways into parking lots. They live less than a mile from the Oakmont Country Club, the site of the 125th U.S. Open, with hundreds of thousands expected to attend. 'It's cool to have this big national event in our backyard,' said Shawn McGregor, who has lived in his house on Hulton Road for five years. With the U.S. Open came an opportunity for McGregor and other homeowners who live in his neighborhood. Many of them are selling driveway and yard space for golf fans to park their cars, offering daily rates the week leading up to the championship rounds. 'Not everybody has a 250,000-person event in their backyard, so we saw it as an opportunity to do something entrepreneurial as a family,' McGregor said. He's referring to his 6-year-old son, Max, a businessman in the making who is embracing this week to the fullest. He opened up his own temporary pro shop, selling bubble gum, rain ponchos, candy, sunscreen and more. 'We're not sure what to expect our first time around, but it's been fun,' McGregor said. 'As the week goes on, it gets busier and busier. We're all going to run out of space.' In the meantime, Max is doing his best to cash in: the perfect summer job before heading off to first grade. 'I want to keep this up for maybe a lemonade stand or something like this – that, if it's really hot. Something like that,' Max said. Download the FREE WPXI News app for breaking news alerts. Advertisement Channel 11 spoke to a few kids who were working to collect as many autographs as they could — and trying soak in all of the fun of being around the pro golfers. 'Just watching them putt and getting autographs and stuff,' Charlie Depascale, 12, said. 'I've got Andrew Novak, Evan Beck, and Doug Ghim!' said Delanie Gallaher, 12.
