I'm Booked All Summer – This Fast-Selling Zara Dress Is Perfect For Every Invite
My weekends are officially booked solid until the end of September, and that has its pros and cons. Of course, a busy summer means I'll be having a lovely couple of months, but it also comes with a very real wardrobe dilemma: what are you supposed to wear to all of it? Especially when there's a mixture of weddings, festivals, and birthday parties on the calendar, and all of them come with a different theme, thus requiring a different outfit. So, to save the panic-ordering and hammering next-day delivery (as well as my bank account), I'm investing in a couple of summer dresses that will see me through all occasions. My choice for all the formal events I have coming up? Zara's Long Satin Dress.
The satin dress, which is part of Zara's ZW Collection, a somewhat secret place you'll find those expensive-looking pieces you might mistake for designer, features a flowing maxi fit, a cowl neck that's not too low cut (and is still acceptable to wear around your grandparents) and an asymmetric hem. The dress is also the definition of business at the front, party at the back, as it has an adjustable tie and deep back.
Zara, ZW Collection Long Satin Dress - Brown
Zara's long satin dress features a maxi length, V-neck and wide straps. The back is open with an adjustable tie top and cowl, perfect for those days when you want to go sans bra. Finish the look with platform sandals and a coloured bag.
Available in four different colours, each shade offers different styling opportunities, and the possibility of wearing the same dress in a different colour to stop people from realising that yes, this is the fifth time you're wearing it this summer.
In brown, the dress leans into a more neutral look, so style with gold jewellery, beige kitten heels and a shoulder bag. The butter yellow feels fresh and ideal for summer (as well as on-trend) and can be paired with flat sandals and chunky bangles. Black is perhaps the easiest win for the evening with mules and an oversized blazer, while the olive green is equally as versatile, particularly when paired with flat knee-high boots for a more casual event.
Zara, ZW Collection Long Satin Dress - Yellow
Zara's butter yellow iteration is perfect for pairing with colours that are equally as bright.
If your social calendar is looking a lot like mine this summer (stacked full of weddings, birthdays, and Friday-night dinners that are bound to turn into something more), then you'll understand the importance of a dress that takes the pressure off. You know, the kind that you can reach for without hesitation, knowing that it will just work every time. Whether the event has been in your diary for a while, or just added a few hours ago, Zara's Long Satin Dress is the kind of piece that buys you time, confidence, and at least one 'where's your dress from?'
Zara, ZW Collection Long Satin Dress - Black
If you're a sucker for an LBD, this is the one for you.
Zara, ZW Collection Long Satin Dress - Olive Green
Finally, the olive green is a good choice for those who want to be more daring (but not too daring) this summer.
Nobody's Child, Cowl Neck Midi Trixie Dress
If you like the satin style but not the open back, Nobody's Child has a style that features a similar cowl neck and flattering cut. Also available in an olive green colour, the dress can be paired with anything from ballet flats to heels.
Massimo Dutti, Flowing Satin Midi Dress
Massimo Dutti's take on a classic satin midi dress features a flattering V-neckline, as well as a low-cut back. The fabric is purposely flowy and the material looks far more expensive than its high street price tag.
Anthropologie, Gracie Cowl-Neck Maxi Slip Dress
If you've got a black tie event this summer, Anthropologie's Gracie dress is the dress to wear. With a draped cowl neck and maxi length, finish the look with gold accessories and a clutch bag.

Sharing the performance on Instagram to her 41.8 million followers on Monday (18 August), the singer can be seen walking into frame whilst belting out 'I don't know who I am', as she adjusts the ring light next to her camera. She captioned the post: 'I would say, Julia Roberts singing Prince's 'Kiss' off key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol.' Spears appears to refer to Roberts' character singing the song in the 1990 film ' Pretty Woman '. Influencers 'inches from death' after car slams into restaurant during live food review
Influencer couple Patrick Blackwood and Nina Santiago were recording a food review at a restaurant in Houston, Texas when a car reportedly slammed into the booth they were sitting at Two influencers renowned for their food reviews were struck by a vehicle whilst filming a segment on Saturday at a Houston, Texas eatery. Video footage captures Patrick Blackwood and Nina Santiago sampling their meals at CuVee's Culinary Creations when a car reportedly crashed through the glass window of their booth, smashing the pane, hurling the influencers forward, and causing Santiago to tumble from her seat. The motorist informed police that she thought her vehicle was in park before removing her foot from the brake, causing the car to plough into the restaurant, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "The chef, influencers, guests, and staff were all blessed to not be severely harmed," CuVee's Culinary Creations told NBC News. "We appreciate the love and support." The footage was uploaded to the YouTube channel Unrated EX Files with the incident occurring approximately 10:35 minutes into the recording, reports the Mirror US. The vlog subsequently shows both influencers inside the ambulance and at the medical facility. "Still here," Blackwood said in the video. "Um, I'm OK now, heart rate's regulated. The realization just hit...I was not expecting this bulls*** right here. But um, I'm glad I'm alive." Whilst awaiting stitches, Santiago revealed this marked the second accident they had experienced this month. "This is the second accident this month," Santiago stated. "The fact that we walked away from both accidents ... maybe I'm just delusional right now but I'm just like, it's like I want to break down and cry and I just can't." Both shared pictures displaying their wounds on Instagram, with the snaps showing the pair sporting stitches and staples across their gashes. "Hey everyone, it's @NinaUnrated and @PatrickBlackwood here, and we can't even begin to express how incredibly fortunate we feel to be alive after what happened to us. We were just sitting in a cozy booth at our favorite restaurant, enjoying happy hour with an amazing spread salmon sliders, presidential oysters, a macaroni and cheese flight (classic, lobster, and truffle), shrimp and grits, and some refreshing drinks," Unrated EX Files stated on Youtube in the video's description. "We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a "boom!" cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph. No warning at all glass shattered everywhere, chaos erupted, and it hit right next to Patrick on the outside of the booth. We were inches from disaster, but by some miracle, we're both okay, just shaken and forever changed." The social media stars returned to the eatery following the drama to grab a bite. "We came back just to make sure to have peace of mind, and also because the food is actually amazing," Santiago said.

Photo of Elle Macpherson confirms long-standing rumour about the model
A recent photo of Elle Macpherson has confirmed a long-standing rumour about the model's hair. The 61-year-old posted a series of holiday snaps to Instagram on Tuesday and one image appears to confirm that Elle wears hair extensions to add volume to her locks. The photo shows Elle walking through a European city in a brown shirt and matching skirt. She had her long blonde locks tied into a messy bun but as she looked down, one of her hair extension bonds was visible. The clip-in extension was noticeable on the top of her head as she pulled her locks back. Hollywood stars and models often wear wigs and hair extensions to achieve a more youthful appearance as hair thins and loses volume with age. Elle is renowned for her radiant, luscious locks and youthful complexion. She previously revealed how she protects her hair when she's not working with the best in the beauty business. From ditching the hot tools to protecting her locks from the harsh sun, Elle shared her top five tips for optimal health hair on her Get The Gloss column. She said she is a big believer that eating well and having a healthy gut plays a crucial role in keeping hair thick and luscious. 'The gut plays a crucial role in nutrient absorption,' she said. 'The combination of botanical herbs, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics that feature in The Super Elixir™ and The Hair Elixir [from WelleCo] will keep your gut microbiome, and in turn your hair, healthy.' Elle also explained it's best to put the hot tools down and keep hair natural as much as possible. Elle also said it's important to protect hair from the sun and believes this is key to keeping her hair silky and healthy. When she is out in the sun and the sea, she uses hydrating and protecting masks. In colder climates, the supermodel wears her hair in braids with a leave-in mask to ensure UV protection and hydration. And one of Elle's biggest tips for healthier hair is a well-looked-after scalp. She likes to give herself a gentle scalp massage with a natural oil like coconut, almond, or jojoba to improve blood circulation and stimulate hair growth.
