Mike Myers Takes Dig at Donald Trump on ‘SNL' With ‘Canada Is Not For Sale' Shirt
The actor appeared on stage with host Shane Gillis and musical guest Tate McRae as the credits rolled wearing a black T-shirt that read 'Canada is not for sale,' with a Canadian flag in the middle. Myers, who was born in Scarborough, Ontario, made sure to open his vest and show off the message on the t-shirt loud and clear, as Gillis said his thank yous.

Mike Myers Crashes 'SNL' as Elon Musk as Cold Open Takes on Trump-Zelenskyy Meeting: 'Donald, What Are You Doing in My Office?'
President Donald Trump has made multiple comments in recent months about wanting Canada to become the 51st state. In February, he doubled down during an interview on Fox News, saying that his conversations of annexing the country are 'a real thing.'
'I think Canada would be much better off being the 51st state because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada. And I'm not going to let that happen,' he said during the interview. 'Why are we paying $200 billion a year, essentially a subsidy to Canada?'
Meyers was part of the cold open of the March 1 show. In the sketch, which recreated Trump's Zelenskyy meeting, Myers portrayed Elon Musk, who stormed in mid-conversation with a chainsaw in his hand. He then asked the president, 'What are you doing in my office? You know, I'm the president now, right? I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Maybe not?'
The actor was a cast member on 'SNL' for six seasons from 1989 to 1995. While he hasn't appeared on a regular episode of 'Saturday Night Live' since 2014, he did pop up during last month's epic 'SNL50' special. He reprised his role as Linda Richman, a part he famously played in his 'Coffee Talk' sketches from 1991 to 1994.

Mark Hamill Shot Scenes as Luke Starkiller in STAR WARS and He Hated the Luke Skywalker Name Change — GeekTyrant
Before Star Wars fans came to know and love Mark Hamill as the iconic Jedi Knight, the character of Luke Skywalker almost had a very different name: Luke Starkiller, and Hamill wasn't exactly thrilled when George Lucas swapped it out. During a recent appearance on This Morning, Hamill revealed that the Starkiller name had been around long enough that they actually shot scenes using it. "It stuck for so long that we shot the scene, 'I'm Luke Starkiller I'm here to rescue you.' And they came back the next week, and I said, 'Why are we doing that scene again?' They said, 'Oh, they've changed your name.' I said, 'To what?' And they said, 'To Skywalker.'" Hamill went on to explain why the switch rubbed him the wrong way at the time. "And now, you've gotten so used to the other [name], and plus, let's face it, Luke could use a little machoing up with his name. I said, it sounded like Luke Flyswatter. I hated it, I just hated it. Because for four months, that's all it was." While Luke Starkiller never made it to the big screen, the name hasn't disappeared entirely from Star Wars lore. It was repurposed for Darth Vader's apprentice Galen Marek (also known as Starkiller) in the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games, and later used again for Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens . As for Hamill, he's stepping into a new kind of role this fall in the upcoming Stephen King adaptation The Long Walk , where he plays the story's main antagonist, the Major. The film hits theaters on September 12. Meanwhile, Star Wars returns to theaters with The Mandalorian & Grogu , marking the franchise's first big screen adventure since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.

Watch: Canadian politician puts on 330 neck ties to break world record
Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A Canadian politician preparing to retire celebrated her time in office by donning 360 neck ties at the same time, breaking a Guinness World Record in the process. Marwah Rizqy, a member of the National Assembly of Quebec who announced this year that she will not seek re-election in 2026, celebrated her tenure in office by attempting a Guinness World Record on the Canadian TV series Infoman. Rizqy had to beat the record of 330 set by Brazilian David Aparecido Dos Santos Araujo in 2023. "I accepted the challenge of breaking the record for the most neck ties worn at once to show that women are equal to men, and that women can also wear many ties," Rizqy told Guinness World Records. It took 48 minutes for Rizqy to reach the previous record, with her face just barely showing through. She captured the title by putting on 30 more ties.
