My night with Orlando explains why Katy Perry split was inevitable – he hit on married Holly Willoughby in front of me
The actor, 48 and the singer, 40, 'have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,' according to a joint statement given by the couple's lawyers.

They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - "raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect'.
They confirmed their split after Orlando went to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos' wedding alone while Katy broke down on stage during her Lifetimes World Tour in Australia.
The couple first met at the Golden Globes Awards in January 2016 with insiders at the time saying they were 'extremely flirty and whispering to each other. He would lean in to whisper into her ear and touch the small of her back as they chatted.'
And they almost broke the internet seven months into their relationship when they were spotted paddle boarding in Sardinia in August 2016.
While Katy, who was previously married to Russell Brand, wore a bikini, the Brit actor kneeled behind his girlfriend completely naked.
The couple briefly split in 2017 but then quickly reconciled going on to have their four-year-old daughter, Daisy. He popped the question on Valentine's Day in 2019 with a pink diamond floral-shaped engagement ring.
Speaking about the proposal, Katy said: 'It was Valentine's Day... It was very sweet. We went to dinner. I thought we were going to go see some art, after dinner, but instead we pulled up to a helicopter.
"He asked me to marry him in a helicopter. We did land and it was like James Bond, everybody had an ear piece and we were rushed over... we landed on a rooftop [in Los Angeles] and my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well."
Despite the grand gestures of love, it doesn't surprise me that the pair split up as I've witnessed first hand how flirty Orlando can be when he set his sights on someone the year before they met.
Orlando was previously married to Miranda Kerr and they share Flynn, 14, together.
While there's no suggestion of infidelity with Katy, it was quite clear Orlando loved the flirt when out and about.
Ten years ago in February 2015, I partied alongside him at the Brits Afterparty. The Warner Music party, which was held at the Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden, London, was wall to wall with celebrities with the big winner of the night Ed Sheeran dancing alongside show presenters Ant and Dec as well as Robert Pattison, Take That's Jason Orange and 1975's Matty Healy.
He'd attended the awards earlier in the evening at the O2 Arena where he had presented British Male Solo Artist to Ed Sheeran alongside Rita Ora before partying the night away.
Having been a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean films, I was extremely excited to meet him. The iconic building was quite a warren of nooks and crannies and my opportunity came when I spotted him looking lost searching for the toilet.
He later came over to thank me for giving him directions. After making polite chit chat and getting a selfie (obviously) he pointed at a blonde at the bar in a black embellished A line dress asking 'who is that? She's beautiful.'
I glanced in the direction he was pointing and exclaimed: 'That's Holly Willoughby.'
'Oh do you know her? Can you introduce me?' he replied.
I did tell him that she was happily married to TV boss Dan Baldwin [they tied the knot in August 2007] but it didn't seem to dull his enthusiasm.
Another pal told me later 'Orlando Bloom just told me he really fancied Holly Willoughby. He didn't seem to know who she was.'

Later I got my chance to tell the former This Morning star about her crush when we were waiting at the bar for our Ciroc cocktails to be made.
She giggled at the news of her admirer saying: 'Haha, of course he does! Shame I'm married with three children. He is gorgeous though!'
Just like Holly, it was at an awards afterparty that Orlando met Katy.
The actor 'stole' some fast food from her table at the Golden Globes in LA but she thought he was "hot" so let him off with it.
I did tell him that she was happily married to TV boss Dan Baldwin but it didn't seem to dull his enthusiasm.
She told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: "In-N-Out plays a big role in my life. We bonded over an In-N-Out burger about three years ago at the Golden Globes.
"He stole one off of my table. I was sitting with Denzel Washington and he took it and I was like, 'Wait! Who - oh, wow, you're so hot. Fine, take it.'"
She continued: "Then I saw him at a party [afterwards] and was like, 'How are those onions sitting on your molars?' He was like, 'I like you' and then, you know, cut to..."
Let's keep an eye out for Orlando during award season next year!

Radio hosts slammed for crude joke about women using tampons: 'How is this allowed to go to air?'
Australian radio duo Jimmy Smith and Nathan Roye have been slammed after making an immature joke about women using tampons live on air. The 2Day FM stars were presenting their breakfast radio show when Jimmy read out a joke from a book. 'Two tampons were walking down the street. Which one said hello first?' he asked. His co-host Nath questioned: 'I don't know, which one?' 'Neither - they were both stuck up c**ts,' Jimmy responded, leaving one of the show's producers shocked. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Producer Lolo, do you think you should buy the book after hearing something like that?' Nath asked. 'My soul just left my body,' the stunned producer said, to which Jimmy responded: 'Did your tampon?' Listeners flocked to the radio station's Instagram page to express their outrage at the joke. 'Sorry love you guys.. not a cool joke,' one person wrote. 'Cringiest sh*t on radio, stop calling me,' another said while a third added: 'How is this allowed to go to air?!' Jimmy and Nath were confirmed as 2Day FM's breakfast hosts back in January alongside Emma Chow. The trio gained 0.5 per cent of the breakfast market share in the latest radio ratings. The station finished at 4.5 overall - up by 0.2 - as it gains ground on Triple M's overall 4.9 market share. Triple M recently suffered a brutal blow in the third radio ratings survey of 2025. The survey showed that Beau Ryan, Aaron 'Woodsy' Woods and Cat Lynch's Sydney breakfast show continues to lose listeners. The trio, who lost 1.5 per cent of the market share in survey two, dropped another 1.5 in the latest survey, bringing them down to a 4.4 market share from a previous 5.9.

Nathan Buckley's ex Brodie Ryan raises eyebrows with comments about the struggles of being a WAG following couple's split: 'Harder than a CEO'
Nathan Buckley's ex-girlfriend Brodie Ryan has raised eyebrows after suggesting that being a WAG is harder than being a CEO. The healthcare professional, who split from the AFL star earlier this year after dating for three years, sat down with the Smile: The Makeover Scoop podcast to discuss the difficulties of being on the footy sidelines. 'Sometimes I would say, seeing my mum do it, seeing my friends do it, being a stay-at-home mum and keeping a home and supporting an AFL footballer would be harder than being a CEO of a company.' She went on to praise the women behind sports stars who are so easily 'overshadowed' by what their partners do. 'I really take my hat off to women out there that do have the hard slog of being at home, keeping a nice house, looking after their husbands and keeping their day as smooth as you can, while keeping the mayhem of home at bay and looking after yourself and your mental health, your wellbeing and keeping yourself in good nick as well,' she said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Seeing these women do it and then get on a red carpet and smile, like it's been an easy year for them... I really take my hat off to them; they each do their own things in their respective fields.' Brodie and Collingwood great Nathan split earlier this year. In May, the brunette revealed she'd be moving out of the Melbourne home she purchased with Nathan following their breakup. She said goodbye to the bayside suburb of Elwood altogether in an emotional Instagram post that showed her enjoying a glass of wine at the local tavern. 'End of an era. Sad to say goodbye to my favourite little community of Elwood,' she captioned the post. Brodie and Nathan purchased the property together in the highly sought-after suburb and moved into the home in June last year. Her post came just hours after Brodie announced the pair had decided to part ways. 'To the followers of the "Brodes and Bucks" journey,' she began. 'After much reflection and consideration, Nath and I have decided to part ways,' she continued. 'Thank you for your kind messages and support over the past couple of months of heartache. I am truly grateful for your kindness and consideration. 'This decision was not made lightly, and we are grateful for the time we shared, the memories we created, and the support we received from each other and all of you. 'While we will no longer be a couple, I will always respect Nathan and the friendship that developed between us 3-4 years ago and have a lot of love for him and his boys, and our beautiful dog Tank.' Brodie concluded: 'We appreciate your understanding and kindness over the past couple of months and continuing through this transition period. 'We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter in our lives. Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our journey. With respect and gratitude, Brodie.'

You won't believe the incredible secret hiding inside this Aussie 'servo'
At first glance, it looks like just another old-school servo at the top of Port Kembla's main drag in Wollongong, NSW. But through the doors of this retro 1950s Mobil station is one of the Illawarra's best-kept secrets - The Servo Food Truck Bar, a thriving hub for food, music and art. The venue has quickly become a cult favourite among locals for its food offerings, drag shows, live gigs, fire pits, and fully BYO-friendly atmosphere, as well as open-air movie screenings. It has certainly been giving Sydney 's cool inner-west scene a run for its money -and the best part is that it's only 90 minutes from the city. Forget sticky pub carpets and cover bands though, because The Servo, according to their social media, is a welcoming space for humans of all identities and ages. Curated by local James Spink, the venue's ever-changing program features everything from punk rock, folk, queer cabaret, to experimental jazz and zine fairs, to spoken word poetry and candlelit sound baths. 'The Illawarra got way cooler the day the servo opened,' one fan commented on Instagram. 'Thank YOU for creating such a safe and wonderful space,' raved another. 'Love performing at this very special space,' said one of their regular soul musicians. 'Fuuuuuun!' another added in the comments. Every weekend (Thursday through Sunday), the forecourt transforms into a pop-up foodie mecca with a rotating lineup of food trucks. The list now includes a rotation of some of the areas favourite cuisine options: Papi's Birria Tacos, Roy's Restobar, 2 Smoking Barrels, Pho King Delicious and Messina, among others. Customers can enjoy deep-fried lasagne toasties one weekend, and slow-cooked pork cordon bleu bao the next. 'It's the best! So good for community, so good for music, so good for the soul!!' one customer wrote on their Facebook page. 'You guys have built a little piece of retro special space ~ thanks for supporting local artists and I wish all the best & big things ahead,' said another. There's also house beer on tap. PK (Port Kembla) Lager was crafted just down the road with Seeker Brewing and is 'best enjoyed chilled, outside, with music in your ears and charcoal in the air.' Set against the backdrop of the Port Kembla steelworks, the space also features mural-covered walls, fairy lights, reclaimed timber furniture, a mural-splashed performance space and crackling fire drums. Each week it opens its doors from 4pm untill late on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 2pm until late on Saturdays and Sundays. From queer comedy night, local punk sets, craft markets, or just a space to grab a drink and some dumplings with mates, The Servo has community at the helm.
