Chuck E. Cheese employee arrested in iconic mouse mask for using stolen credit card, police say
'Chuck E, come with me Chuck E,' a police officer in Tallahassee told the suspect, 'stop resisting, you are being detained.'
The arrest occurred Wednesday, according to the probable cause report from police, while photos from bystanders showed an officer removing the man's rodent mask — with its gray fur, exaggerated ears and perpetual smile — and placing it atop a Tallahassee Police Department vehicle.
The investigation began when a woman called police to report that someone was using her child support Visa debit card, which she hadn't seen since a visit Chuck E. Cheese in late June, police records stated. Charges to the card were made at a smoke shop, grocery store and a Whataburger.
The woman tracked down the suspect by going to the grocery store and viewing surveillance footage from the time her card was used, police records state. She recognized the man from the Chuck E. Cheese.
When police officers arrived at the restaurant, one of them entered first to verify that the suspect was there. He was — and he wasn't wearing the mask. The suspect 'looked very nervous, he gazed at me with wide eyes and squared shoulders in a tensed demeaner,' a police officer later wrote in the probable cause report.
The officer and another officer soon returned to the Chuck E. Cheese, where the suspect had since donned the rodent mask, police records stated. The officers asked another employee if the suspect was in the mouse suit.
'She shook her head up and down indicating yes,' the officer wrote.

(WAPT via CNN Newsource) JACKSON, Mississippi (WAPT) - One man said he was on his way to church when someone shot into his SUV. Jason Walker said he lives in Clinton but serves at Truitt Baptist Church on Old Brandon Road in Pearl. Back in early June, Walker said he was driving on Interstate 220 at Highway 80 in Jackson when someone pulled up and started shooting at him. 'A gentleman pulled up to my right, rolled his window down, nodded at me and fired seven shots into my right passenger door. Six went into the door. Two exited through the door into my dashboard. One went in front of my face, about 6 inches, and through the driver's side window. Another went into my work bag right next to me and lodged into a very lucky penny,' Walker said. Walker said if it were not for the penny, the bullet probably would have hit him in the hip. 'He was just a very angry man. He circled me a few times there on 220. I got off on Clinton Boulevard, and he wanted to get around me, so I pulled over to let him by, and he drove past, and he slammed on his brakes and came next to me again, and then he took off, and you know, I'm going towards Pearl, so I get onto the eastbound direction of 20, and I moved over, and I don't know if he took that as a sign of aggression, but he did it again, he sped up, and he slammed on his brakes in front of me a second time,' Walker said. Walker said the driver was yelling and making a lot of hand gestures at him as they were driving. 'I gave him a dirty look, but that was about it,' Walker said. He said he was on his way to the church, and his mind was not on anger but instead on worship. Walker shared his incredible testimony with his fellow church members. Walker said he called 911 after the shooting. He filed a police report and said investigators still have his vehicle. Guelph man charged after north-end stabbing
A Guelph man is facing assault and weapons charges after police say another man was stabbed in the leg at a north-end apartment Tuesday. According to Guelph police, a group of people were inside an apartment near Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue around 6:15 p.m. when an argument broke out between two men who hadn't met before. Police said the argument turned physical when one man in his 40s was stabbed in the leg. The suspect left the apartment but was later located in the area with help from a Waterloo Regional Police Service canine unit. 'The knife was also recovered after being thrown into a neighbouring yard,' Guelph police said in a news release. Police said the man is on probation with terms including not to attend the address where the assault occurred, not to have contact with a woman who was also present and not to possess weapons. A 24-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and five counts of breaching probation orders.
