Spoilers ahead for Episodes 1 and 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is back for its bittersweet third and final season. The first two episodes are now streaming, with new episodes dropping weekly on Prime Video. Following the premiere, it's time to unpack one of the new characters introduced this season: Agnes.
The third season picks up with Jeremiah and Belly, who are still together and attending Finch College. Belly is heading into the summer before her senior year, while Jeremiah was on track to graduate — but after messing up his credits, he now has to take fall classes as a super senior.
Their relationship has been rocky to say the least, with Jeremiah cheating on her in Cabo, Belly hiding that she spent Christmas with Conrad and the usual college drama. Meanwhile, Conrad is off studying to become a doctor and has a new friend of his own to keep him company.
In the show, Agnes is introduced as one of Conrad's pre-med friends at Stanford, and she appears to be a steady presence in his life. She's also a character in Jenny Han's book, We'll Always Have Summer, but her role is much smaller compared to her on-screen counterpart. So, who is Agnes, and will she and Conrad develop a romantic relationship?
Here's what to know about Agnes and Conrad so far, including the actress who plays her and where you might have seen her before.
Who Is Agnes In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?
In Season 3, Episode 1, we meet Agnes, one of Conrad's close pre-med friends at Stanford. She's accepted into the same summer clinic residency as him, and she appears to be not only a great friend and confidant to the Fisher brother, but also a potential future love interest.
According to Decider, Agnes is portrayed somewhat differently in the series than in Jenny Han's third book. Not only is her appearance different — in the text, Conrad describes Agnes as having wavy, chin-length dirty-blond hair, glasses, and skin as pale as milk — but the nature of their relationship is different as well. In the book, Agnes asks Conrad out and they have a fling.

However, in the show, their dynamic seems more like close friendship than casual hooking up. In the first episode, we learn that maybe Agnes wanted more, but shes mentions that Conrad was clear from the get go that he wasn't interested in a relationship. She then asks if he's ever been in love, and he tells her only once: Belly.
In Episode 2, Conrad is let go from the summer clinic after Dr. Namazy fires him for mislabeling a blood sample. She had previously offered him the day off after learning that Steven was in a serious accident, but he declined. Dr. Namazy tells him he's not ready and lets him go. Later, Agnes visits him at home and talks to him about how he processes and carries his emotions, hinting that she may have a larger role in future episodes than she did in the book.

Shocking cameos, new characters, emotional tributes: 5 biggest takeaways from ‘Gen V' Season 2 panel at Comic-Con

The second season of Gen V is all about leveling up. Fans of The Boys universe packed Ballroom 20 on Friday as Prime Video hosted the first-ever San Diego Comic-Con panel for Gen V. Showrunner Michele Fazekas and cast members Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau), Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), London Thor (female Jordan Li), Derek Luh (male Jordan Li), and Hamish Linklater (Dean Cipher) answered questions from moderator and franchise star P.J. Byrne, who stayed in character the entire time as his narcissistic director, Adam Bourke. More from Gold Derby 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' trailer drops: Everything to know about James Cameron's return to Pandora 'How did It become Pennywise?' Andy and Barbara Muschietti reveal terrifying secrets of new HBO spin-off 'Welcome to Derry' Here are the five biggest takeaways we learned about Gen V Season 2 at Comic-Con. The Boys Cameos The official trailer for the second season of the spin-off series was screened for the crowd, with Dean Cipher's ominous quote, "You can all level up under the right amount of pressure," being of key interest for fans. The two-minute video also teased three shocking The Boys cameos from Erin Moriarty (Annie January / Starlight), Chace Crawford (Kevin Moskowitz / The Deep), and Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir II). Watch it here: Since Gen V and The Boys constantly "talk to each other," that means fans of Gen V will get to see how the country and the university have changed now that Antony Starr's Homelander has "taken over America," Fazekas explained. The spin-off will also explore "what the resistance is going to start looking like," including where some of your favorite characters from The Boys ended up after that fourth-season finale. "There will be some important cameos [and] answers to that." An Emotional Tribute Season 1 actor Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, a student with the power of magnetism, tragically died in 2024 at age 27 in a motorcycle crash. The producers decided to write his character out of the show, rather than recast him. Andre is alluded to in the new trailer by Sean Patrick Thomas, who has been promoted to series regular status for his role of Andre's dad, Polarity. "For Andre," he says through tears at the one-minute mark. New Characters Two cast additions were confirmed at Comic-Con: Zach McGowan's Dogknott, who gets taken out by Annie January in the trailer, and Ethan Slater's Thomas Godolkin, the namesake of the super-powered university where all the action takes place. Shameless viewers will no doubt recognize McGowan from his role of Jody, and Slater was most recently seen on the big screen in the Wicked film as Boq Woodsman. Leveling Up In addition to Dean Cipher's "level up" quote in the trailer, Fazekas teased more about that overarching Season 2 theme, claiming, "There's gonna be a lot of different types of leveling up. So, some people are going to level up their superpowers, and some people are going to emotionally level up, or figure out something new about themselves and lose control." She turned to the cast and added, "Yeah, you guys all lose control at one point or another." Top Cast Quotes "It is f---ing incredible seeing all of your pretty faces," Luh said. He stood up and shouted, "SDCC!" and then threatened to take his "shirt off" with Byrne as the audience cheered him on. "Should we do it? I'm gonna do it!" For the record, Luh ended up removing his jacket, which you can watch in the video below: Sinclair recalled falling "in love with Marie immediately" when she first read the pilot script. "They gave me dummy sides, it wasn't even real material, but she is determined to get into the school, and refuses to take no for an answer. She was super scrappy and kind of desperate, and I just really loved her tenacity from the beginning," raved the actress. Linklater was mostly tight-lipped about his new villainous character, Dean Cipher, the Head of Academics. "I can't tell you anything about him ... but I had one question from Reddit, which was, would my Dean beat the old Dean [played by Shelley Conn]? They said, 'You're gonna have to act pretty darn hard.'" The actor then joked, "I love overacting, so I said yes!" That's a wrap! Following the panel, Fazekas and the cast attended Vought-A-Burger, The Boys-inspired fast food joint, at Comic-Con's Sony Pictures Television booth. They won fun prizes playing the Gen V claw machine, and met with some of their biggest fans. The first three episodes of Gen V Season 2 will premiere on Sept. 17 on Prime Video. Season 1 is available to stream now, as are Seasons 1-4 of The Boys. Judge Judy recreates controversial American verdicts and challenges viewers in ‘Justice on Trial'

EXCLUSIVE – Judge Judith Sheindlin helps recreate some of the most controversial court cases in American history in her new show, 'Justice on Trial.' The show, which was over 10 years in the making and finally premiered on Prime Video last Monday, revisits eight of the most monumental court cases in American memory — allowing the viewer to decide if justice was truly served with each verdict. The main lawyers featured on the show are Larry Bakman and Daniel Mentzer. Advertisement Episode seven features a re-telling of 'Snyder v. Phelps,' in which a grieving father, Albert Snyder, sued Fred Phelps and his followers at the Westboro Baptist Church for emotional distress after church members protested his son Matthew's military funeral. The churchgoers, as depicted in the episode, carried signs reading, 'God Hates Your Son,' 'Thank God for Dead Soldiers,' and 'Thank God for 9/11,' to protest the military's tolerance of homosexuality. 7 The show, which was over 10 years in the making and finally premiered on Prime Video last Monday. The protesters were protesting the military at-large. The court showdown highlighted the legal boundaries of protected speech when it conflicts with potential harm to others. Advertisement A jury in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland agreed with Snyder and awarded him a total of $10.9 million, which the judge lowered to $5 million. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the judgment, holding that Phelps' speech was protected by the First Amendment. The Supreme Court upheld the Fourth Circuit's ruling. The fiery Sheindlin had an opinion on the matter. While she and others may find the protesters' signs 'abhorrent,' she intoned that the Constitution does protect free speech. 7 A jury in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland agreed with Snyder and awarded him a total of $10.9 million. Courtesy of Prime 'Totally uncaring for people who are religious people, totally uncaring about the emotional trauma that that kind of demonstration might have on the family,' Sheindlin said of the Westboro protests in an interview with Fox News Digital. 'And yet the Supreme Court said in its decision that they had a right to express their views, even though their views were maybe abhorrent to the vast majority of Americans. I suppose you have to be able to… I wouldn't want to tolerate seeing the American flag burned in protest in America. Just wouldn't. It would offend me. But you have the right to do it. Is there a law that proscribes it? And I'd say probably not.' Advertisement So how do Americans reconcile their anger at a verdict with the Court's constitutional responsibilities? Sheindlin began her answer by referencing the movie 'American President.' 'I mean, we all would like our presidents to be like Michael Douglas, correct?' she said. 'And he said something at the end, but he's making the big speech at the end. He said, 'As an American, America is not easy, and you have to be able to defend somebody burning a flag, the American flag, as a protest, if you're going to insist that freedom of speech and expression exists.' And while we are all offended, it just didn't seem right that for no apparent reason, with no knowledge of who this young man was who was killed, just because they had a cause, they didn't care what the collateral damage was emotionally to the family of this young man.' 7 Judge Judy Sheindlin presiding over a courtroom trial. Courtesy of Prime 7 Judge Judy said there was one case, in particular, that spurred her to want to create 'Justice on Trial' and that may also leave some Americans feeling like justice may have taken a walk. Courtesy of Prime Advertisement Judge Judy said there was one case, in particular, that spurred her to want to create 'Justice on Trial' and that may also leave some Americans feeling like justice may have taken a walk. 'It was a case that happened in New York many, many years ago,' she shared. 'Two young thugs decided to rob an old man on the subway. Believe it or not, I remember the man's name. His name was Jerome Sandusky, and he was a man well in his 70s. And one of them was acting as a lookout. The other one went down the stairs with the pretty deserted platform and was beating up this old man in an attempt to take his watch and cash. And a transit police officer heard the screams of the old man coming from the subway, and he ran down into the subway. Pulled out his revolver and said, 'Stop, police!' And the young thug ran off and was running up the stairs. Police said, 'Stop, police!' He didn't stop, and the police officer shot him. And he shot him in the back as he was fleeing.' Then things got tricky in court and the situation seemed to turn on the victim. 7 Then things got tricky in court and the situation seemed to turn on the victim. Courtesy of Prime 7 'The young man pled guilty to the robbery, was sentenced, but hired a lawyer who sued the transit authority in the city of New York and received a judgment, a jury verdict for $4.3 million,' Sheindlin continued. Michael Becker/Prime 'The young man pled guilty to the robbery, was sentenced, but hired a lawyer who sued the transit authority in the city of New York and received a judgment, a jury verdict for $4.3 million,' Sheindlin continued. 'And then Mr. Sandusky, who took a very long time to recover from his physical wounds, but who would, you know — if you're a crime victim emotionally, you really never get over being a victim of violent crime. And Mr. Sandusky, he said, 'Well, that's sort of outrageous. I was the victim.' And so he hired a lawyer because now this thug had $4.3 million and his lawsuit was barred by the statute of limitations. So there are many facets to that case. Whether or not, ultimately, justice was served is an issue. And if you ask 10 people, given those set of facts, you will get at least eight different opinions.' Advertisement All eight episodes of 'Justice on Trial' are streaming now on Prime Video. Other cases covered by the series include the famous Scopes Monkey trial, Gideon v. Wainwright and People v. Turriago. In the latter case, troopers stopped Leonardo Turriago for a speeding violation on the New York State Thruway, which led police to discover a decomposing body locked in a steamer trunk. The episode explores the question of whether or not the search of the truck was legal. The series is created and executive produced by Sheindlin. Casey Barber, David Carr and Randy Douthit are also executive producers. Amy Freisleben is a co-executive producer.

'The Boys' season 5 just got a special Comic-Con preview — and people are losing their minds

"The Boys" season 5 wasn't supposed to be a headliner at San Diego Comic-Con this year. But when fans in attendance at a "Gen V" Hall H panel got a special sneak preview of the show's final season, it stole the show. We haven't been able to find leaked footage of the preview — a shock in its own right — but outlets such as Deadline and users on X (Twitter) were quick to react to the teaser. Here's a breakdown of what happened. Per those in attendance, there are a few big reveals that Eric Kripke and company showed off in the season 5 teaser. First, Homelander (Antony Starr) is in full fascist mode. He is now the leader of the U.S. in all but name, and during the sneak preview, he addresses a crowded room, saying to those watching that, "This is a safer, more God-fearing nation." Then, the teaser focused largely on some familiar faces. The Boys team is seen reuniting to prepare for a final showdown against Homelander. In between all the blood and gore, fans also reported getting a look at Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) reacting to something off-screen that seemingly unsettled her. It's unclear what exactly she saw. Finally, the teaser hinted at some new faces joining the show. We already knew that "Supernatural" alumni Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki appear on-screen together with the latter reprising their role as Soldier Boy, and fans in attendance at the "Gen V" panel got to see a shot of them on screen together during the sneak preview for "The Boys." But we learned that Seth Rogen will appear in an undisclosed role in the show's final season. Of course, this season 5 teaser was shown at a "Gen V" panel, so we did get some updates on the second season of that spin-off as well — including a new SDCC trailer for "Gen V" season 2. In the trailer, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is convincing Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) to return to Godolkin University to stop a sinister program called 'Project Odessa,' which has ties to the university's founder, Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater). But she's not the only "The Boys" star to make an appearance in the trailer. Nathan Mitchell also appears as Black Noir II. To see fully how the shows tie in together, you'll have to check out "Gen V" season 2 on Prime Video on Sept. 17 and then tune into "The Boys" season 5 when it arrives some time next year.
