The star went on to share: "Thank you very much for all the support. I would like to repeat Paul's words in his letter to the Philippians:

"Dear brothers and sisters, I do not for a second think that I have already arrived! All I say is this: I forget what is behind me and focus all my energy on what is forward to
"I run to the finish line with the intention of winning! I want to win the prize that God has for us. His call to heaven is what the Messiah did." (Phil 3: 12-14)."

Emmerdale confirms exit for character amid heartbreaking new health storyline

Emmerdale will be waving goodbye to a character this week for at least a month, as their mystery and worrying new storyline takes a turn, amid fears it's health related There was some news in the latest episode of Emmerdale that confirms an exit for one character. One character will seemingly leave the show imminently, announcing their plans to be out of the village by the end of the week. Bosses had confirmed a departure would be on the cards temporarily as part of the mystery new storyline. ‌ Amid fears for Bear in a secretive storyline that has seen his personality change and him displaying concerning behaviour, the character will flee the village for around a month if not longer. When he returns, he will spark concern with characters and viewers as there's clearly something not right with him. ‌ He will be different, with his loved ones and pals set to miss the signs of what's really going on. Bear will exit the soap for a while and won't be onscreen for weeks, and it's this brief exit that was confirmed on Monday night. He told his son Paddy Kirk after yet another run-in that he was going to stay with a friend in Ireland. He confirmed he would be leaving this coming Friday, meaning the scenes will likely air on Tuesday or Wednesday this week. It's not known if we will see or hear from Bear in his absence, but it's thought he will be AWOL and not in contact with Paddy or anyone. When he returns, more about what's going on with him will be revealed until we finally find out what''s happened. It's been tipped to be something health related, with concerns from fans suggesting it could be a physical or mental health issue. Paddy was seen confiding in Gabby Thomas and Marlon Dingle that he was worried his dad may have dementia. Some fans are worried it might be a brain or head injury from his wrestling days, or he may be diagnosed with a tumour. Other health conditions were also suggested, after "symptoms" in recent scenes included confusion, forgetfulness and Bear lashing out. ‌ He's been physically and verbally aggressive, pinning Paddy up against a wall and attacking Kammy too. He's been seen with a temper, and on Monday after Paddy was seriously injured in a dog attack, the character slammed his own son saying he let people walk all over him. Trashing his son's character he left Paddy heartbroken, before he fumed about Paddy's wife Mandy Dingle too in a judgmental way. He's acting very out of character, and the aggression and his recent funny turn, which saw him nearly collapse, and the fact he's angry one moment and then completely calm the next, has left fans fearing the worst. One viewer speculated: "Brilliant performance from Joshua Richards in tonight's #Emmerdale. Could bear have a tumour, Alzheimer's disease, depression or something totally different." A newer theory saw fans predicting he was suffering with a brain condition called Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), thought to be linked to repeated head injuries.

Pill residents hit out at Mail's rundown city story

The issues covered in the report are familiar to Argus readers, and the figures are ones we have reported before. But we also report the many positive things happening in the city (not town as the Mail called it), and we will covering in more depth a number of issues raised in the Mail in the coming days. Today we started by talking to the residents of Pill, which had been highlighted in the report as "in a state of decay", with "drug addicted residents wandering the streets". Here is what we found... Rachel Clark, who works at Newport Support Network (NSN), said: 'I'm Pill, born and bred. The place has had some troubles recently but so has everywhere. Pill is on the up because people are positive here and here at the Newport Support Network, we are aiming to get more positivity.' Tariq Khan, her colleague, also dismissed the Mail's account: 'They took a snapshot of a few chronic problems that are in many places. I'd rather concentrate on the positive things going on in Pillgwenlly.' Nostalgia: Pill, Newport, the oldest community in Newport Councillor Phil Hourihane, who was visiting Tariq Khan's new self-help initiatives hat serve all Newport, earlier gave me a tour of Pill. We walked for 20 minutes and he asked me about our uneventful stroll on busy streets: 'Do you see any drunk people lying in the streets? Any drug deals? Any anti-social behaviour? The Mail is just printing sensationalist rubbish!" New 2025 Pill carnival queen and her attendants chosen Zenab Farzal said: 'I was born and raised in Pill, which has long been seen as a multicultural area. For me it has always represented community and safety and the ability to live your life in your community. There are shops, services and two mosques that served and supported us. All the things we could want were here. 'Things have changed in recent years and it has become different. However, Pill is a vibrant and happy place and negative changes do happen and they can be overcome." Mark Hayes said: 'The Mail is a Tory rag and I don't read it or believe it. I just wish they'd do reports on real issues, like why they can't cut taxes for local businesses, so they can compete with big corporations and make things better and serve their communities. 'Moving big stores to out-of-town is bad news for local businesses because it reduces visitors on foot and that should be in the news, not these political hit-job stories designed to provoke a reaction." Mason Mathias, said: 'Well, who knows what's going on? I didn't take the report seriously. Maybe more police to sort problems, who knows? As for empty shops and no hope, Pill is buzzing compared to the centre of town. I'm only 19, rescuing Newport is for the politicians and businesses, not me Just ignore hype and don't react.' A man who gave his name as Richard, said: 'Our problems are spiritual. We cannot survive without God in our lives. If you want to make a difference, bring it through building God's word in your communities and families. I go to Emmanuel Church, join me there and make things better.' Pill has benefitted from a number of developments in recent years including the £17m Pill Primary School on Mendalgief Road, alongside the Victoria Court housing scheme by Lovell. There's also new play equipment next to St Michael's Primary School. The regeneration of Constable Close by Linc Cymru is nearing completion and Kirby Daniel Court, homes for the over 55's, have been fully redeveloped. In 2023, Newport Council revealed a new 'masterplan' for regenerating the Pill neighbourhood. Commercial Road will be rejuvenated at 'the heart of Pill', with 'quality public services' and a mixture of business, shopping, leisure and community uses. A new 'green corridor' will be developed around Pill Park, bringing together outdoor play and sports areas and serving as a home for community gatherings.

Huge EastEnders twist as character uncovers a brutal murder

Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) has opened up about her brother Keanu's (Danny Walters) shocking murder in EastEnders. That's right – we're harking back to Christmas 2023 and the storyline that dominated the next twelve months worth of storylines. If you need a quick refresher, here goes… Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) all found themselves complicit in a gruesome death. Linda fatally stabbed Keanu with a meat thermometer as he was throttling Sharon. Just minutes before, Denise had hit Nish over the head with a bottle when he lunged towards Suki. A number of locals then found out, including Linda's son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), and twisted Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) eventually took responsibility for the crime in the month prior to his death. One of the last Walford residents to learn the ghastly truth was Bernie, who was horrified to know she'd been working in the cafe just metres from her brother's corpse. Now, ahead of her exit, she's come clean to cousin Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) about what happened. It comes as her plot to scam the Panesar family out of thousands was exposed to Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) in the first of tonight's two instalments. She became desperate for cash herself, and after her suspicions were piqued, she stole Bernie's laptop and uncovered the crime. Bernie agreed to her blackmail deal – half of the money in exchange for her silence. But she knew her time was running out, and urged Felix to start a new life in Spain with her. She also hoped this would influence his future with Johnny. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? The latest gossip from Emmerdale? Felix was stunned by her revelations, but even more so that she would dare mess with the fearsome Panesar clan. Little did he realise, she'd thought up a plan. More Trending Vicki had told her aunt Kathy about her sudden windfall, and she rushed to tell her 'Six' co-conspirator Suki. In turn, Suki told her step-son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) what was happening and he demanded an audience with Bernie. She sat down, and made a brutal and damning lie – Vicki is the one stealing.
