Gogo Maweni halts face-to-face consultations to focus on pregnancy
Popular sangoma and reality TV star Gogo Maweni has announced she will temporarily close her practice for face-to-face consultations due to her pregnancy.
The sangoma has three children — her firstborn son from her previous relationship with an unidentified American man, her second son with actor Sthembiso Khoza and another with former soccer star Siyabonga Zulu.
She and her husband Sabelo Mgube are expecting twins.
Taking to Instagram, Gogo Maweni, real name Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, said: "Please note that due to our pregnancy my ndumba will be closed for face-to-face consultations. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who believes in my work and their ancestors. I am truly grateful. Looking forward to seeing you all again after our twins are born."

The rapper legally changed his name for the first time in 2021. American rapper and businessman Kanye West has reportedly changed his name once more. In 2021, the rapper legally changed his name from Kanye Omari West to Ye at a Los Angeles court, a few years after first announcing his plans to change his name on Twitter in 2018. According to E! News, the rapper legally changed his name to Ye Ye in business documents filed in California this week. The publication reports that Kanye's CFO, Hussain Lalani, recently listed him as 'Ye Ye' in multiple business filings with the California Secretary of State. Earlier this month, Kanye announced on Twitter that he was deactivating his X account @kanyewest and starting a new one under his name, Ye, which is also the title of his eighth studio album. SA is set to host its first ever Miss Charm national beauty pageant, giving the public as well as beauty pageant enthusiasts a chance to see the beauty queens process throughout the competition. For those who do not know, Miss Charm is a pageant that aims to search for remarkable women from nations worldwide, celebrating their beauty, cultural heritage, and academic achievements, according to the official Miss Charm website. The Miss Charm pageant took to social media to share a statement and reveal the exciting news. 'We are proud to announce a historic milestone in South African pageantry - South Africa will host its first-ever national show for Miss Charm South Africa,' the pageant wrote. In the statement, they also revealed that this marks a new era of celebrating grace, intelligence and cultural pride because this beauty pageant will be a platform to not only showcase diverse beauty but also highlight the talent and charisma of SA women. They further added: 'The inaugural national show promises to be an unforgettable spectacle, uniting pageant fans, industry professionals and aspiring queens across the country.' Even though the pageant has never held any national competitions, they have chosen beauty queens in the past to represent our country at an international stage. The crown for Miss Charm 2024 went to Slindokuhle Mbali Dlamini, a Strategic Brand Communication graduate and model from Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal. Dlamini has a long history in the world of pageants. She was a finalist in the Miss SA 2019 competition.
