Linkin Park had been relatively quiet for several years, but in the past few months, the band has made something of a comeback. That revival continues today with a new song, and the group scores another quick sales hit that shows how dedicated its fans are to this day. The outfit's new single, "Up from the Bottom," recently arrived on iTunes, and longtime followers of the rockers have already pushed it into the highest tier on the platform.
On Thursday night (March 27), Linkin Park dropped "Up from the Bottom," the new single the band had been teasing for some time. The rockers had hyped the cut across social media and built anticipation with interviews, and it seems the effort paid off. As of Friday morning (March 28), the track sits at No. 8 on the iTunes top songs chart in the U.S.
"Up from the Bottom" is one of the highest-ranking new tracks on the U.S. iTunes chart at the moment. It currently stands as the second-loftiest debut, coming in just behind Mondo Cozmo's "Only Shine," which appears at No. 3.
The current iTunes ranking includes a handful of high-profile debuts, including two others that join Linkin Park inside the top 10. Just one space behind "Up from the Bottom" is "Mayberry," a new duet by Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton. That cut opens at No. 9. Ariana Grande's "Twilight Zone," which appears on the newly released deluxe edition of Eternal Sunshine, launches at No. 10.
This new single isn't a standalone release — it marks the beginning of a new chapter in Linkin Park's career. "Up from the Bottom" is the lead track from the deluxe edition of From Zero, the group's latest full-length. That album originally dropped in late 2024 and marked a turning point for the act, as it introduced several new members, including lead vocalist Emily Armstrong. From Zero is Linkin Park's first full album of new material since the passing of founding member Chester Bennington, and the extended take is coming this spring.
While "Up from the Bottom" might be Linkin Park's latest push, the band is still riding high with another recent hit. "Heavy Is the Crown," also featured on From Zero, remains hugely successful across multiple Billboard charts. It's currently present on six different tallies, and this week, it places inside the top 10 on three of them.
The tune nearly climbs to the summit on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, holding steady at No. 2. At the same time, the title also improves on the Alternative Airplay tally, pushing from No. 7 to No. 6—its highest position yet.

Linkin Park Bookends The Top 10 With Multiple Career-Starting Smashes

Linkin Park's 'In the End' climbs to No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, with ... More 'Numb' also hits the top 10, allowing the band to bookend the top 10. UNITED STATES - NOVEMBER 10: Photo of LINKIN PARK; Chester Bennington performing at Arrowhead Pond, Anaheim (Photo by Christina Radish/Redferns) Linkin Park long ago proved itself to be one of the biggest names in the history of hard rock music, and the band is far from done reasserting its dominance. The nu-metal outfit's fanbase typically skews younger than some of the genre's classic names, so the group's music performs especially well on streaming platforms. Its placements on Billboard rankings dedicated to that consumption format is usually impressive, and that's certainly the case this week. Linkin Park returns to No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart this frame. The band pushes "In the End" from No. 5 to the top spot on Billboard's list of the most-played hard rock-only cuts in the United States on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and others. The smash has, somewhat surprisingly, only ruled for a total of eight frames throughout its decades-long lifespan. Linkin Park doesn't just rise to No. 1 this week. The band collects a pair of current top 10s on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally, and even manages to bookend the competitive space. In addition to "In the End" hitting the summit, "Numb" jumps from No. 12 to No. 10. Unlike "In the End," "Numb" has never managed to rule the roster, as it has previously stalled in the runner-up space. This week, Linkin Park is the only group to score a pair of top 10 hits on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. Just days ago, that distinction belonged to Sleep Token. The band, which is still riding high off the success of its first No. 1 album Even in Arcadia, filled four slots inside that tier. Now, all but one have slipped below the No. 10 mark. Linkin Park is one of only three names to occupy two slots anywhere on the 25-position Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally at the moment. Sleep Token continues to dominate with four wins, while Three Days Grace ties Linkin Park for the second-most appearances, as each claims two. "In the End" and "Numb" are tied as Linkin Park's longest-running smashes on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. Both have held on for 261 weeks — just over five years. Only three other tracks by the band have earned even double-digit stays, including "One Step Closer" (21 weeks), "The Emptiness Machine" (17 frames), and "Heavy Is the Crown" (13 stays).

When 'The Life of Chuck' Will Be Available to Stream and How to Watch

The new Neon film came out as a limited release on June 6th and will soon move nationwide on June 13! Since it's a limited release for it's initial release, you might have to travel a bit if you want to see it on the big screen during its first weekend. Fans in Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and New York can catch the movie starting on June 6. Fans at other cities will have wait June 13, but like all of our favorite films, it won't be on the big screen forever. Make sure to grab tickets ASAP before it leaves your local theater! Since it just came out in theaters, it's still a little too early to catch it on the smaller screen, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to watch it soon! Like most Neon films, there's a good chance that it'll land on Hulu after the two studios struck up a deal to them there. An exact date hasn't been announced yet, but we'll keep an eye out! Or if you're a huge fan, you'll also be able to buy it on Blu-ray and DVD!

Mariah Carey's Comeback Single Shoots Straight Into The Top 10

It's been years since Mariah Carey's last proper era — as the parlance goes these days — and fans have been eager to hear from the elusive chanteuse. While Carey does occasionally drop a collaboration here and there, and she can be heard non-stop throughout December thanks to "All I Want for Christmas Is You," her longtime supporters have been craving more. The Grammy winner has responded with a brand new single, "Type Dangerous," which quickly becomes a bestselling track just hours after its release. "Type Dangerous" immediately shot into the top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in the United States. Its quick adoption among American audiences shows there was serious pent-up demand for new music from Carey — and it confirms that her signature blend of hip-hop and R&B with pop sensibilities still connects with a wide audience. As of the time of writing, "Type Dangerous" sits at No. 9 on the ranking. The current top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs tally is packed with new releases, and had Carey shifted her drop to another week, she might be charting even higher. At the moment, Barbra Streisand and Laufey lead with their joint tune "Letter to My 13-Year-Old Self." That track bests "Manchild" from Sabrina Carpenter, which sits at No. 2. The Backstreet Boys — yes, those Backstreet Boys — fill the next six spots with some of the group's biggest hits, as 2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for the boy band. Coming in just behind Carey is "Sapphire" by Ed Sheeran, though this order could shift throughout Friday. Carey has been teasing new music for the past several days, and it seems there's more than just one tune on the way. Visuals she's recently shared on social media hint at MC16, which is shorthand for her sixteenth full-length. The project, which has yet to be properly announced, will mark her first full-length since 2018's Caution. In the years since that album, Carey has released a handful of tracks, including remixes of Latto's "Big Energy" and Ariana Grande's "Yes, And?" She also tours annually around Christmas, as her holiday staple brings in millions of dollars annually thanks to massive upticks in streams, sales, and especially radio airplay.
