Why 'Wedding Crashers' sequel hasn't happened: cinematographer
Cinematographer Julio Macat exclusively told The Post why he thinks a sequel to the 2005 comedy still hasn't been made 20 years later.
'I think it hasn't happened because of all the moving parts with the actors and availability, really,' the 68-year-old explained. 'Because it's hard for an actor to commit and say yes, I'm available on these dates.'

Macat doesn't think a sequel would work without Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson either.

'I don't know who would be in a sequel. It's definitely a different movie if you don't have the main guys,' he noted. 'So it seems to me like you need those guys and maybe they're coming out of retirement or something interesting.'

'But I think it'd be really fun,' Macat added. 'I think it would be fun for every one to come back to the party to see what we've all learned in 20 years. Try to play it again. But I think what we learned on the fly was pretty cool and the result of it was worthy.'
Since the original film's release, director David Dobkin has discussed ideas for a sequel with Vaughn, 55, and Wilson, 56 — but nothing has come to fruition.

'I don't think it's 100 percent yet, but they're definitely talking about doing it,' Wilson said to Yahoo! Entertainment in 2021. 'We'll see.'
Wilson told Variety that same year: 'If we all agree that we have a good idea, then we're trying to make something good.'
Vaughn, for his part, confirmed on 'Good Morning America' last year that he's open to making 'Wedding Crashers 2.'

'You know, it's been close. They talked about it a few times,' he said. 'I think you just wanna make sure that if you are gonna do it, that there's a great story.'
Vaughn would specifically like the sequel to answer the question: 'What's the next chapter in those characters' lives?'

'Don't go back and try to tell the same story again,' he noted on the ABC morning show. 'But do something that would be fitting for the time. So if they land on something that seems engaging — it's always a possibility.'
Macat told The Post that he's mixed on making a 'Wedding Crashers' sequel.
'I mean, think about it, we got to that level together, and now we could pick it up from that level,' he said.

'But then again,' Macat added, 'everything changes and perception changes. There's moments in your life where just everything lines up. And when you try to force something, it's like dating an old girlfriend or boyfriend. You're like, 'Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but what the f–k? What am I thinking? It's all still there. It was good for about 10 minutes, and then it was like, oh, f–k.''

There's only one question that the outspoken property guru Barbara Corcoran won't answer. Just how much does she spend on her plastic surgery? 'I'm not going to tell you,' she laughed. 'I know exactly how much, but I hesitate to say it out loud.' 'All of a sudden I noticed nobody was noticing me anymore on the street. 'Heard the cool kids were sharing their plastic surgery secrets,' Corcoran said in her post. 'Now I don't even take the drugs — it's just like, 'Get over it.' But you know what was the most painful? I recently had laser treatment on my neck and I could hardly tolerate the pain for five days. Right now, Corcoran is pointing them toward Two Bridges — the downtown, East Side neighborhood around the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges that she calls a 'phenomenal area' — as well as Queens, especially Breezy Point. Corcoran, who recently sold her beloved Upper East Side penthouse for $12 million, plans to spend her time between her home on Fire Island and a new apartment on Fifth Avenue, which she is about to move into with her husband, former FBI agent Bill Higgins, and their 19-year-old daughter, Katie. New York is in her 'veins,' and she is adamant she will never move — although there are quality of life issues that infuriate her, like how utilitarian products including toilet paper and toothpaste are kept under lock and key at pharmacies due to shoplifting: 'You'd think it was diamonds, for God's sakes.' 14 Corcoran has had a 'second act' with NBC's 'Shark Tank.' 'He used word that are like the worst words in the real-estate language: rent freeze. That is a sure-shot way of getting people to pit against you … everybody who owns a building in New York knows if you can't raise the rent, you can't pay for the maintenance. Still, Corcoran added, 'I'm sure I would win — because I'm a good salesman and I know how to market. It's just about marketing yourself. But … I would hate the job. I would be hate being political. And I have the worst mouth that gets me in trouble all the time because I always tell it like it is. Buck, the voice of "Monday Night Football," is filling in for ABC broadcaster George Stephanopoulos. According to reports, the latter is on vacation. The rest of the "Good Morning America" crew, however, was at the studio for Friday's show. Before signing off from "Good Morning America" this Friday morning, Michael Strahan gave Buck a hug on national TV. Unfortunately for the Hall of Famer, it was a pretty awkward exchange. For some reason, Buck didn't exactly match Strahan's energy. He simply said, "Thank you." After watching Buck reluctantly embrace Strahan on "Good Morning America," sports fans are convinced they don't see eye-to-eye. At the very least, fans believe Buck is not that fond of the former NFL star. "ABC told Joe Buck, we don't think you do enough to earn your salary, so we're going to torture you by having to be on the same set a few days with someone as arrogant as you, Michael Strahan," one fan wrote on X. "Joe Buck and Michael Strahan look totally comfortable with this embrace," Awful Announcing wrote. We'll see if Buck comments on this less than ideal exchange with Strahan. In the meantime, Buck is gearing up for his fourth season as the play-by-play commentator for "Monday Night Football." "During the season, Aikman and Buck work alongside Lisa Salters, Monday Night Football's longest-tenured sideline reporter.
