Gordon Ramsay visited Massachusetts this weekend. Here's what restaurants he visited
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was spotted in the Worcester area over the weekend.
Known for "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef," the Food Network star is no stranger to Massachusetts, as he owns two restaurants in Boston - Ramsay's Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay Burger. However, this weekend, Ramsay traded Boston for central Massachusetts.
While the exact reason Ramsay was in town is not known, he was seen with a camera crew around various towns in the Worcester area. Here's everywhere he went.
This past Saturday, Ramsay visited a restaurant, a bowling alley and a food truck in Northbridge.
Ramsay started his morning at The Neighborhood Kitchen, a breakfast restaurant in the town's Whitinsville neighborhood. According to a televised report from WBZ-TV, the chef stopped to meet fans when he exited the restaurant.
From there, Ramsay went to Sparetime Recreation bowling alley, where he was seen with a large film crew. The reason Ramsay was filming at the Northbridge bowling alley has not yet been made clear.
According to reports on Facebook, Ramsay also stopped by Smash'd, a food truck in Douglas that specializes in burgers.
"We got a chance to meet Gordon Ramsay today!!!" the food truck wrote on Facebook alongside pictures with the star, adding that Ramsay "absolutely loved" the Smash'd t shirt they made for him.
After a jam-packed day in central Massachusetts, Ramsay visited Rhode Island, where he was spotted Sunday morning at the Crazy Burger in Narragansett.

Ananda Lewis, Former MTV VJ and Talk Show Host, Dies at 52
Ananda Lewis has died at the age of 52. The former MTV VJ's sister Lakshmi announced news of her death in a Facebook post shared on Wednesday, June 11. "She's free, and in His heavenly arms," she wrote, alongside a series of broken heart emojis and a black and white portrait of Lewis. "Lord, rest her soul 🙏🏽" Lewis became well known in 1997 when she was hired to be one of MTV's VJs, hosting shows like Total Request Live and Hot Zone. In 1999, The New York Times dubbed her 'the hip-hop generation's reigning It Girl.' She left MTV in 2001 to host her own talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show. Lewis revealed in a 2020 Instagram post that she had been diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. She said that she had not been getting regular mammograms because of her fear of radiation. In October 2024, Lewis took part in a roundtable discussion with CNN's Stephanie Elam (her friend from college) and CNN anchor Sara Sidner in which she revealed that she went against medical advice and did not have a double mastectomy after she was diagnosed. Her tumor had metastasized, and her cancer had progressed to stage IV, she shared. 'My plan at first was to get out excessive toxins in my body. I felt like my body is intelligent, I know that to be true. Our bodies are brilliantly made,' Lewis said. 'I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body a different way. . . . I wish I could go back. It's important for me to admit where I went wrong with this.' Lewis was born in Los Angeles in 1973. Her parents divorced when she was 2, and she and her sister, Lakshmi, moved with her mother to live with their grandmother in San Diego. 'Mom was overwhelmed from the get-go, devastated by the divorce and working hard to support two kids,' she said. But Lewis felt neglected and 'built up a lot of resentment toward her.' 'By the time I was 10, I'd become a belligerent, rebellious kid, and my mother and I were fighting about everything,' she explained. She attended an arts high school and spent her time in school plays and volunteering. After graduating from Howard University in 1995, she landed a job as the host of BET's Teen Summit, which filmed in D.C. In one episode, she interviewed then First Lady Hillary Clinton. In 2000, PEOPLE named Lewis one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. She also made frequent appearances at celebrity events. Even Prince was a vocal fan; he told The New York Times, 'Ananda is Cleopatra. You know she's a queen.' Lewis left her MTV role in 2001 and began hosting her eponymous talk show. "I wanted a change," she told Teen People at the time. "It was a matter of proving to myself that I can do [this]." The series — which premiered Sept. 10, 2001 — lasted one season. Reflecting on the series to Shondaland, Lewis said, 'I wish I had stopped the people that wanted me to do the [talk] show and said, 'Not yet, it's a little too early to do this.' It was overkill for me.' She said she wasn't happy with the show, explaining, 'It wasn't what I felt like I signed up for.' Lewis took a break from television and later appeared as a host on The Insider, a spin-off of Entertainment Tonight. She also appeared on the reality series Celebrity Mole: Yucatán and hosted A&E's America's Top Dog and TLC's While You Were Out. Lewis also became a contractor and carpenter. MTV News shut down in 2023. Lewis reflected in a statement to PEOPLE at the time, "A pillar of creative and diverse speech is crumbling. MTV News covered things no one else could. We could get inside the trailer with DMX and Korn as they were taking historic concert stages. Artists trusted MTV News to tell their stories." She added: "Even though I was technically a VJ, I did many specials with MTV News and know firsthand what a huge loss this is for the culture of music and all who love it." Taylor mayor acknowledges ‘uproar' over Pride proclamation denial, calls it ‘partisan issue'
TAYLOR, Texas (KXAN) — The mayor of Taylor, Texas, has doubled down on a decision to deny signing an official proclamation acknowledging June as Pride Month, just weeks ahead of an annual Pride festival in the city. Mayor Dwayne Ariola made a Facebook post about it on Wednesday, saying he wanted to 'address recent concerns regarding the Pride Proclamation and clarify the position of my office and the City Council.' Previous coverage | Taylor Pride denied city proclamation after 4 years of approvals, sparking backlash, petition The City Council is a nonpartisan body, and it is my strong belief that we should remain focused on representing all residents, without stepping into issues that are clearly divisive along partisan lines. The recent uproar—on both sides—regarding this proclamation request makes it clear that this has become a partisan issue, and as such, I do not believe it would be appropriate for a nonpartisan council. Dwayne Ariola, Mayor of the City of Taylor, Texas, via Facebook Earlier this month, non-profit organization Taylor Pride posted on social media about Ariola's decision to deny a request from a resident for an official Pride Month proclamation. The group also created a petition online pushing for Ariola to reverse the denial. As of Thursday morning, the petition had more than 1,600 signatures. Taylor Pride is the group behind organizing the city's annual Pride celebration. This year, the Taylor Pride Music and Arts Festival will be held Saturday, June 28, at Heritage Square Park, marking its fifth anniversary. Ariola also said in the Facebook post that the permits for the annual Pride celebration were approved, saying, 'I fully support the right of individuals to celebrate and express themselves freely,' and that the only difference this year is that there will not be a signed mayoral proclamation. Taylor was the first Williamson County city to host an official Pride celebration back in 2021. Other area cities, like Georgetown, Leander, and Cedar Park, followed suit. Since the first Taylor Pride celebration, the city has received a Pride Proclamation yearly, signed by former Mayor Brandt Rydell. This is the first year in the last four that an official Pride Proclamation has been denied for the city of Taylor. The city of Taylor earlier this month sent KXAN the email correspondence between Mayor Ariola and the person who submitted the proclamation application this year. An email from Ariola stated his initial reasoning for denying the application was that there are other 'unifying observances' during the month, such as Juneteenth and the birthday of former Texas Gov. Dan Moody, who is a Taylor native. Taylor Pride organizers and other community members are planning to show up to the city's council meeting Thursday evening to voice concerns over the mayor's decision. Neighboring Williamson County cities Cedar Park and Georgetown are set to issue proclamations recognizing Pride month. Cedar Park will issue a proclamation recognizing June as Pride Month at its city council meeting Thursday evening, according to the council's agenda.
