BTS' RM and V Discharged Following South Korean Military Service
The long-awaited BTS reunion is getting closer to happening, with two more members of the South Korean group completing their mandatory military service.
On Tuesday (June 10), it was reported that BTS members RM and V were discharged from the South Korean military after completing their required service. The pair's discharge was welcomed by hundreds of their fans (known as members of BTS' ARMY fandom) who had gathered in Chuncheon City to greet the two musicians.

BTS pressed pause on their work as a group in 2023 in order for its members to fulfill their duties as South Korean men between the ages of 18 and 35 and serve a total of 18 months in the South Korean military.
Jin and J-Hope were discharged from their service in June and October of 2024, respectively, while Jimin and JungKook are scheduled to be discharged on Wednesday (June 11). Suga was assigned alternative service, and has been operating as a social worker since his service began. His discharge is expected to occur later this month.
While all members of BTS have released solo projects in the interim, the approaching end of their collective military service has been eagerly anticipated by fans, who are looking forward to the band announcing their official reunion plans.
'I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service,' J-Hope told Apple Music 1's Zane Lowe last month. 'We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it's going to be a massive energy.'
'When we're all back together as a group, it's going to have a huge impact, and everybody's going to be watching,' J-Hope also said to Weverse Magazine in December. 'I'm excited to see what it'll feel like when we perform together again. I want to come back in style and say, 'This is us. This is BTS.' I can't speak for everyone, but I can tell you the other members feel the same way.'

The festivities will take place along the National Mall on June 14, which also happens to be Donald Trump's 79th birthday. Trump's push for a military parade started back in his first term, though the idea has been controversial since its conception. But the planned festivities include more than a parade, as the Army event website boasts vendors, kid zones and meet-and-greets with "Army soldiers, NFL players, influencers and celebrities." Everything you need to know about attending the Army's 250th birthday celebration
On June 14, 1775, the Continental Army was formed to fight for American independence. After the successful revolution, the Continental Army became the United States Army and has continued to serve the nation in its mission with the same motto: 'This We'll Defend.' To celebrate the Army's 250th birthday, as well as the service and sacrifice of its soldiers, a celebration will be held in Washington, D.C. on June 14, 2025. At 8:15 a.m., a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate the anniversary. On the National Mall, the Fitness Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude with awards presented by 12:30 p.m. During the Fitness Competition, the Army Birthday Festival, located near the Washington Monument on the National Mall, will open at 11:00 a.m. The festival is free and open to the public, but online registration will enable attendees to proceed through security more quickly. Security gates will be located at 7th Street. Visitors are encouraged to use the Metro, street parking, or public parking garages. The north entrance of the Smithsonian Metro Station will be closed. In front of the Smithsonian Castle, Army equipment and interactive exhibits will be on display. Visitors will be able to check out some of the latest Army tech, including night vision goggles, drones, and the Next Generation Squad Weapon. The Army also plans to showcase the new MV-75 tiltrotor aircraft, which is slated to replace the UH-60 Black Hawk. A total of 56 booths will be at the festival, where attendees can receive free giveaways and meet soldiers. On the east end of the festival will be the NFL Kids Zone. This will feature climbing walls, face painting, photo booths, and the opportunity to meet NFL players. Food trucks will also be located to the east. The festival will end at 6:00 p.m. ahead of the parade. At 6:30 p.m., the Army's 250th Birthday Parade along Constitution Avenue NW will begin on 23rd Street NW. It will be easiest for visitors to walk from the festival to the parade viewing area. Featured in the parade will be Army mainstays like the M1A2 Abrams tank and Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, along with newer vehicles like the Infantry Squad Vehicle. The AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and the CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter will also participate in the parade. The parade concludes at 7:30 p.m., and the concert at the Ellipse will begin soon after. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. to end the Army's 250th birthday event. Multiplayer returns to the Metal Gear franchise after twelve years
After an absence of 12 years, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is bringing back multiplayer, but Konami cautions fans to expect a completely different experience than the original Metal Gear Online. Announced at Konami's Press Start Live event, the new multiplayer mode titled Fox Hunt is something like hide-and-seek on steroids, with a dash of camouflage thrown in. According to Yu Sahara, director of the multiplayer aspect, 'Fox Hunt is a completely original online multiplayer mode. Although it shares the same world with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the gameplay is completely different.' That said, he did acknowledge the nostalgia fans have for the original Metal Gear Online. 'When we say Metal Gear multiplayer, many fans will probably think of Metal Gear Online, but Fox Hunt will be its own new type of mode. We very much appreciate all the long-time fans of MGO who have always wanted to see it make a comeback, but the landscape of multiplayer games has changed a lot since MGO. It took a lot of careful consideration to think about what a new online mode should look like.'
