BRSV State Leaders Slam Congress Government for Neglecting Government Schools in Alampur
During his inspection, Kuruv Pallayya visited the Bharat Nagar Primary School, Government Girls High School, and the Government Girls Primary School in Santha Bazaar. He interacted with teachers and students and took note of the challenges faced by the institutions.
Key Issues Identified:
Poor Quality of Midday Meals: Pallayya expressed serious concern over the substandard midday meals provided in the schools. He noted that the rice served was undercooked and clumpy, making it unpalatable for students.
Lack of Toilets: Several schools lacked adequate toilet facilities. Notably, the Government Girls High School, which has around 430 students, has only four toilets, resulting in severe inconvenience.
Absence of Drinking Water Facilities: The schools did not have access to filtered drinking water. Students were forced to walk to nearby temples to fetch drinking water, which Pallayya described as 'unfortunate and shameful.'
No Compound Wall: The Bharat Nagar Primary School lacked a protective compound wall, raising safety concerns.
Mosquito Problem and Lack of Hygiene: Students were reportedly suffering due to mosquito infestations in the classrooms. The absence of bleaching and sanitation measures around the school premises was highlighted as a serious health concern.
Kuruv Pallayya accused the Congress-led Revanth Reddy government of neglecting public education and promoting private and corporate education instead. He criticized the administration for its failure to show the same commitment to government schools as it does to private institutions.
'This is not just negligence — it is a disgrace. The Congress government is abandoning government schools and favoring corporate education. Immediate action must be taken to address the lack of basic infrastructure,' said Pallayya.
Demands Put Forward:
Immediate provision of proper toilet facilities and drinking water systems.
Recruitment of adequate teaching staff.
Regular sanitation drives including bleaching and chlorination to tackle health hazards.
Proper midday meal management, ensuring warm and nutritious food for all students.
Strengthening school infrastructure, especially with the onset of the monsoon season, to prevent disruptions in learning..
Pallayya also referred to the 'Mana Ooru – Mana Badi' program implemented by the previous BRS government, which significantly improved school infrastructure and created a more supportive environment for students. He emphasized that such initiatives must be revived.
The visit concluded with a demand to the state government for urgent intervention to prevent further hardship to students and to preserve public education.
The program saw participation from local leaders including former town president Veeresh, Darji Veeresh, Nagar Doddi Kiran, Raju, Riyaz, Ramesh, and others, who echoed the concerns and pledged their support to the BRSV's cause for educational reform.

The contractors staged a sit-in protest in front of Principal Secretary of Finance department Sandeep Kumar Sultania's chamber located on the second floor of the Secretariat. The protesting contractors are believed to have carried out various works under the 'Mana Ooru, Mana Badi' programme during the BRS regime. This is the second such protest staged inside the Secretariat by the contractors this year. KTR tars Cong govt in TG with ‘commission raj' paint
Hyderabad: The BRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Monday came down heavily on the Congress-led Telangana government, accusing it of turning the state into a 'commission raj' where only those willing to pay bribes get their dues cleared. Referring to the protest staged by small contractors in front of the Chief Minister's office inside the state secretariat, Rama Rao said the fact that they were forced to take such a step was a clear reflection of the government's moral and administrative bankruptcy. 'This is not just a protest, it is a direct indictment of Revanth Reddy's deteriorating rule,' he said. Rao alleged that while the state government was clearing multi-crore bills of big contractors, including those reportedly linked to cabinet ministers, small contractors were being harassed and denied payments merely because they refused to pay 20 per cent commission. He questioned the logic behind the government having enough funds to send bags of cash to Delhi but not enough to pay contractors who worked on public welfare schemes. He reminded that this was not the first such protest. 'Previously, contractors staged a demonstration in front of the Deputy Chief Minister's chamber. Now they've reached the CM's office. What further proof is needed of this administration's decay?' he asked. KTR said the 'Mana Ooru – Mana Badi' scheme, which aimed to improve school infrastructure for underprivileged children, was being tarnished due to non-payment of bills. 'It is shameful that those who worked on such noble programmes are being neglected,' he said. 'At the same time, bills of large contractors are being cleared at lightning speed. This exposes the two-faced nature of the Congress government,' he added. KTR criticised the Revanth Reddy administration for defaulting on payments to genuine contractors while having no shortage of funds when it comes to sending money to the Congress high command in Delhi. 'In just 20 months, this government borrowed Rs 2.2 lakh crore and hasn't implemented even a single of the 420 promises it made. The public deserves to know where the money went. The government must immediately release a white paper on fund utilisation,' he demanded. KTR demanded an independent investigation into the widely alleged 20 per cent commission racket. 'When the Prime Minister himself has repeatedly stated that 'RR tax' exists in Telangana, why is there no probe into such corruption? The fact that contractors are openly accusing the government inside the Secretariat itself shows that the Congress regime has transformed into a full-fledged Commission Corporation,' he said.

Forced Labor in Gurukuls: Student Unions Demand Principal's Suspension in Itikyala
Gadwal: A shocking incident has come to light from the Social Welfare Gurukul School in Itikyala Mandal, where students are reportedly being forced to perform menial labor such as cleaning bathrooms, toilets, and utensils—tasks assigned by none other than the school principal. This blatant exploitation led to student union leaders submitting a formal complaint to the District Collector at the Gadwal District Collectorate today, demanding immediate suspension of the Itikyala Gurukul principal involved in the alleged forced labor practices. 'Forcing Students into Menial Labor is a Crime' – BRSV State Leader Kurva Pallayya Addressing the media, Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV) State Leader Kurva Pallayya strongly condemned the incident. He stated: "Forcing minor students—most of whom are under 18—into activities such as cleaning toilets and utensils is a legal offense under child labor laws. Gurukul schools are meant to educate and empower underprivileged children, not subject them to bonded labor and humiliation." He further demanded the immediate suspension of the concerned principal and strict disciplinary action. Recurring Violations Across Institutions Kurva Pallayya also reminded that this is not an isolated incident. Just days ago, a similar case was reported at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Gurukul School near Alampur Chowrasta, where students were forced to engage in cleaning tasks due to lack of support staff and inadequate infrastructure. 'These repeated incidents show a failure of the state education administration. Parents send their children to these schools hoping for quality education and dignity—not for them to become victims of exploitation,' Pallayya said. Negligence and Lack of Basic Facilities in Hostels Student leaders also highlighted the lack of basic amenities in hostels, not just in Itikyala or Alampur, but across several Gurukuls, KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas), and welfare hostels in the district. They urged the District Collector to: Immediately investigate all residential educational institutions in the district Ensure deployment of adequate support staff to prevent burdening students with manual chores Upgrade and provide basic facilities such as sanitation, clean water, and kitchen infrastructure Leaders Who Filed the Complaint The delegation that met with the District Collector included: Kurva Pallayya – State Leader, BRSV & District Coordinator, Jogulamba Gadwal, Haleem Pasha – District President, PDSU Danayya – District President, PYL Rangaswamy – Assistant Secretary, USFI They have warned that if appropriate action is not taken swiftly, state-wide protests will be organized by student unions in solidarity with affected students. Call for Government Accountability The leaders also criticized the Congress-led state government, accusing it of neglecting the needs of students and failing to monitor the functioning of welfare institutions. They claimed that students are being pushed out of classrooms and onto the streets due to lack of basic dignity and facilities. 'The government must treat these issues with utmost seriousness if it wants to prevent the collapse of public trust in residential education systems,' said Haleem Pasha. Awaiting Collector's Response As of now, the District Collector has acknowledged receipt of the complaint. Further action, including an official inquiry or suspension of the principal, is expected soon. Student unions have vowed to continue their fight until justice is served and conditions improve for all students across the district.
