New Geethanjali School in Aiza Compared to Cattle Shed: BRSV Demands Immediate Closure and Action Against Officials

Gadwal: In a strong statement against the management of a private school operating in Aiza Mandal headquarters of Alampur Constituency, BRSV State Leader and District Coordinator Mr. Kuruvu Pallayya has demanded that the recognition of New Geethanjali High School be revoked immediately. After a recent visit to the school premises, Mr. Pallayya harshly criticized the condition of the classrooms and overall infrastructure, comparing it to that of a "cattle shed" rather than an educational institution. He noted several violations of educational norms, government guidelines, and safety protocols. Key Observations and Allegations by BRSV Leaders: Unhygienic and Unsafe Classrooms: Classrooms were found to be extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Students are allegedly made to sit next to bathrooms, raising serious concerns over sanitation and child welfare. Violation of RTE Norms: The school lacks proper classrooms, sanitation certificates, traffic safety certifications, and fire safety measures—all of which are mandatory under the Right to Education Act. Unregulated School Operations: The school is allegedly operating from temporary, unsafe structures resembling cattle sheds, with no basic amenities such as drinking water, taps for washing, or functional toilets. Commercial Exploitation of Parents: The school management is reportedly exploiting poor parents by forcing them to buy notebooks, textbooks, uniforms, ties, and belts at high prices, running into lakhs of rupees. Health Hazards to Children: Students are said to eat and study in the same dusty, unclean classrooms, with no designated play area or hygienic dining space. Sitting on dusty floors has reportedly caused dust allergies and other health issues among the children. Fire Safety Risk: The absence of fire safety systems poses a serious risk of major accidents. In case of fire or emergency, there is no mechanism to protect the children. Demands Made by BRSV Leadership: 1. Immediate cancellation of recognition for New Geethanjali High School. 2. Strict legal action against school administrator Venkatesh, for operating the school in violation of laws and exploiting parents. 3. Suspension of the Mandal Education Officer (MEO) for allegedly colluding with the private school management and failing to conduct proper inspections. 4. Thorough inquiry into how the school was allowed to run for years without basic infrastructure or legal compliance. Leaders Participated in the Protest: Alongside Mr. Kuruvu Pallayya, the protest was attended by former BRSV Town President Veeresh, along with Raju, Naresh, and other local activists. This incident highlights growing concerns over unregulated private educational institutions in rural areas, where poor families are often left with no choice but to send their children to such schools due to lack of government infrastructure. Activists have urged the District Education Officer (DEO) and Collector to take immediate action to ensure children's safety and protect the integrity of the education system. Further investigations are awaited.

Student Unions Demand Cancellation of Sri Krishnaveni School Recognition Over Assault Allegations and Book Scam

Gadwal: A group of student union leaders submitted a formal complaint to the District Collector today through the Prajavani grievance platform, demanding strict action against Madhu Sudhan Reddy, the owner of Sri Krishnaveni Private School in Aiza Mandal headquarters. They urged the immediate cancellation of the school's recognition. According to BRSV state leader Kuruvu Pallayya, the controversy began on Friday, June 27, when members of the PYL student union – District Leader Danayya and Secretary Harish – visited Sri Chaitanya Private High School near Gandhi Chowk upon receiving information that private books were being illegally sold there. After confirming the sale of private books, they informed the Mandal Education Officer (MEO). Surprisingly, before the MEO arrived, Madhu Sudhan Reddy, the owner of Sri Krishnaveni School located three kilometers away, appeared at the scene. Danayya reported that shortly after, the MEO arrived. Madhu Sudhan Reddy allegedly summoned his school bus drivers, who used abusive language and attempted to assault the student leaders, provoking a violent confrontation. Student leaders questioned the motives behind Sri Krishnaveni School staff arriving at a distant school and alleged that the incident was a deliberate act of intimidation. 'Why were your drivers at Sri Chaitanya School during school hours? Are you running an educational institution or encouraging hooliganism?' they asked Madhu Sudhan Reddy. They accused him of exploiting parents by charging between ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per student from nursery to tenth grade under the guise of fees, books, uniforms, and accessories, and profiting in crores through such exploitative practices. Despite such large-scale operations, they questioned whether the school followed government-mandated norms such as: Implementation of the Fee Regulation Act Compliance with the Right to Education Act, offering 25% free seats to poor students Adequate facilities like toilets, bathrooms, and fire safety Proper allocation of 50% of collected fees to teaching and non-teaching staff salaries (as per Rule 15, Section 4D) They strongly criticized the illegal sale of private books in open violation of government policy and denounced the use of force to silence student leaders who exposed the malpractice. The student unions asserted that similar inspections and seizures of private books at Sri Chaitanya Techno Curriculum High School and a private school in Maldakal were conducted without incident. 'Why then was there such a violent reaction at Sri Krishnaveni School?' they questioned, hinting at possible vested interests behind the school's actions. They demanded an impartial inquiry into the events and called for strict action against Madhu Sudhan Reddy for inciting violence against student activists. 'If swift action is not taken and the school's recognition is not canceled, we will launch a large-scale agitation,' they warned. Leaders who participated in the protest included BRSV Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator Kuruvu Pallayya, ASFY District Secretary Praveen, NPDY District President Chand Pasha, along with Tirumalesh, Rakesh, and others.

BRS leader threatens indefinite hunger strike over pending Rythu Bandhu funds

Hyderabad: Alleging discrimination against Rangareddy district, BRS leader P Karthik Reddy on Thursday said that he would sit on an indefinite hunger strike if the government does not release Rythu Bandhu funds to the farmers of the district. Addressing a press conference here along with BRSV President Gellu Srinivas Yadav, party leader P Karthik Reddy asked whether the chief minister A Revanth Reddy knows that there is a district called combined Rangareddy district. Revanth Reddy is ignoring Rangareddy only because the Congress did not get votes and seats from the district. The per capita income of the combined Rangareddy district is highest after Gurgaon district in Haryana. The district is one of the five districts that bring the highest income to the country. 'I will call Rythu Bharosa as Rythu Bandhu only. Why are the Rythu Bandhu funds not being deposited to the accounts of the farmers of the district,' asked Karthik Reddy? The BRS leader said that farmers of the district were cheated on the 111 GO issue. Revanth Reddy is not even in a position to care about the road leading to his constituency. The political importance of the Rangareddy district is being reduced. Why Revanth Reddy could not find a suitable candidate for ministerial post in Rangareddy district? 'If the Rythu Bandhu funds do not reach the accounts of the farmers of Rangareddy district within a week, I will go on an indefinite hunger strike,' said Karthik Reddy. He alleged that KCR's love for farmers was like his mother's love, while Revanth Reddy's love was like stepmother's love.

BRSV State Leaders Slam Congress Government for Neglecting Government Schools in Alampur

Gadwal: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhagam (BRSV), under the leadership of State President Gellu Srinivas Yadav, organized a 'Badi-Bata' (School Campaign) program across Telangana, highlighting the poor state of government schools. As part of this initiative, BRSV State Leader and Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator Kuruv Pallayya conducted a visit to several government schools in Aiza Mandal of Alampur constituency, uncovering alarming infrastructural and sanitation issues. During his inspection, Kuruv Pallayya visited the Bharat Nagar Primary School, Government Girls High School, and the Government Girls Primary School in Santha Bazaar. He interacted with teachers and students and took note of the challenges faced by the institutions. Key Issues Identified: Poor Quality of Midday Meals: Pallayya expressed serious concern over the substandard midday meals provided in the schools. He noted that the rice served was undercooked and clumpy, making it unpalatable for students. Lack of Toilets: Several schools lacked adequate toilet facilities. Notably, the Government Girls High School, which has around 430 students, has only four toilets, resulting in severe inconvenience. Absence of Drinking Water Facilities: The schools did not have access to filtered drinking water. Students were forced to walk to nearby temples to fetch drinking water, which Pallayya described as 'unfortunate and shameful.' No Compound Wall: The Bharat Nagar Primary School lacked a protective compound wall, raising safety concerns. Mosquito Problem and Lack of Hygiene: Students were reportedly suffering due to mosquito infestations in the classrooms. The absence of bleaching and sanitation measures around the school premises was highlighted as a serious health concern. Kuruv Pallayya accused the Congress-led Revanth Reddy government of neglecting public education and promoting private and corporate education instead. He criticized the administration for its failure to show the same commitment to government schools as it does to private institutions. 'This is not just negligence — it is a disgrace. The Congress government is abandoning government schools and favoring corporate education. Immediate action must be taken to address the lack of basic infrastructure,' said Pallayya. Demands Put Forward: Immediate provision of proper toilet facilities and drinking water systems. Recruitment of adequate teaching staff. Regular sanitation drives including bleaching and chlorination to tackle health hazards. Proper midday meal management, ensuring warm and nutritious food for all students. Strengthening school infrastructure, especially with the onset of the monsoon season, to prevent disruptions in learning.. Pallayya also referred to the 'Mana Ooru – Mana Badi' program implemented by the previous BRS government, which significantly improved school infrastructure and created a more supportive environment for students. He emphasized that such initiatives must be revived. The visit concluded with a demand to the state government for urgent intervention to prevent further hardship to students and to preserve public education. The program saw participation from local leaders including former town president Veeresh, Darji Veeresh, Nagar Doddi Kiran, Raju, Riyaz, Ramesh, and others, who echoed the concerns and pledged their support to the BRSV's cause for educational reform.

Massive Illegal Textbook Racket Busted at Sri Chaitanya School in Gadwal: BRSV Demands Strict Action Against Private School Exploitation

Gadwal: In a major development in the Jogulamba Gadwal district, a massive stash of unauthorized private school textbooks and notebooks was seized at Sri Chaitanya School, exposing large-scale exploitation of parents under the guise of education. According to BRSV (Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi) State Leader and Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator Kurva Pallayya, private schools in the district have been extorting parents by charging exorbitant fees for textbooks—ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 per student. 'These private schools are sucking the blood of poor parents like leeches,' he remarked. Raids and Seizures: The books were discovered in a rented residential building located in the lane opposite the Vrudhi Bhavan near Vijay Mess in the district headquarters. Acting on this information, the local Mandal Education Officer (MEO) arrived at the location and sealed the rooms where the textbooks had been dumped illegally. Kurva Pallayya demanded the immediate cancellation of Sri Chaitanya School's recognition and strict action against the school management. Statement by BRSV State Leader Kurva Pallayya: He condemned the commercialization of education, accusing private school managements of: Falsely branding government textbooks as private content and selling them at inflated prices. Failing to provide quality education while turning schools into profit-making ventures. Dumping unauthorized books in rented houses and running illegal sales operations. He further criticized the school for violating the Fee Regulation Act, noting that even nursery students were being charged ₹32,000 per year—an alarming exploitation of the education system. Demand for Action: Immediate revocation of the school's license. Legal action against those involved in printing, storing, and selling unauthorized textbooks. Elimination of private schools that misuse the education system for commercial gain. Kurva Pallayya warned that if authorities fail to act, BRSV will launch a district-wide protest against such exploitative educational institutions. He also expressed disappointment with the lack of action taken against Saraswati School, where a similar incident involving illegal textbooks and notebooks was uncovered recently. Participants: Student leaders including Mahadev, Yuvaraj, Narasimha, and Mahesh participated in the protest and supported the call for reform in the district's private education system. Conclusion: This incident sheds light on the growing issue of commercial exploitation in private schools. With mounting pressure from student organizations like BRSV and the public, the district administration is expected to act swiftly to ensure accountability, uphold educational standards, and protect the rights of students and their families.
