BRSV Student Leaders from Jogulamba Gadwal Depart for State-Level Telangana Student Conference in Hyderabad
Under the supervision of BRSV Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator Kurva Pallayya, a team of active student leaders left the district early this morning to take part in the prestigious gathering aimed at discussing student issues, leadership, and the future direction of the student wing.
The event will commence at 10:00 AM with an inaugural address by former Minister and sitting MLA Harish Rao, who is expected to highlight the role of students in shaping Telangana's future and the importance of educational empowerment through active political participation.
Following lunch, MLC Deshapati Srinivas will deliver a speech, addressing the students on Telangana's cultural, academic, and political legacy.
Later in the day, former Minister and MLA Jagadish Reddy will address the gathering, expected to speak about the contributions of students in the development of the state and the role of BRSV in voicing student concerns.
The highlight of the conference will be a keynote address by BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), who will provide strategic guidance and direction to the BRSV student leaders. KTR's address is anticipated to focus on youth leadership, innovation, and the evolving role of students in state and national politics.
This large-scale student conference aims to empower student leaders across Telangana, strengthen organizational unity, and prepare the next generation of socially and politically aware youth. Gujarat approves action plan for Artificial Intelligence implementation in governance
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved the Action Plan for Implementation of Artificial Intelligence [AI] (2025–2030), setting the stage for the integration of AI into Gujarat's governance framework over the next five years. The plan aims to improve service delivery, strengthen administrative processes, and apply AI tools in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and finance. This move aligns with the broader goals of Viksit Gujarat@2047 and the national mission of Viksit Bharat@2047, officials said. Prepared by the Department of Science and Technology based on recommendations from a 10-member AI Taskforce Committee, the plan will serve as a roadmap to equip government departments with AI systems and capabilities. It also supports the Centre's broader objective, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to expand the use of artificial intelligence in public policy, administration, and digital infrastructure. The State's action plan focuses on six major areas: building a secure and regulation-compliant data ecosystem; expanding GPU and cloud-based digital infrastructure, including setting up AI factories in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities; training 2.5 lakh individuals—students, MSMEs, and government officials—in AI, machine learning, and related technologies; promoting research and partnerships between academia and industry for building practical government-use AI models; supporting DeepTech startups with incubation, mentorship, and funding; and ensuring safe and responsible AI through audit systems, guidelines, and risk protocols. Implementation will be carried out in phases, starting with the creation of a State-level AI data repository, setting up AI development facilities, and launching pilot projects in selected departments. To oversee the entire effort, the Government will establish a dedicated AI and Deep Tech Mission. This institutional mechanism will lead the design, planning, and monitoring of AI projects while facilitating collaboration between academic institutions, industry players, and startups. Gujarat has already taken steps to strengthen its AI foundation, including the launch of an AI Centre of Excellence at GIFT City, the organisation of AI training programmes for public officials, and the issuance of an Expression of Interest for developing Indian language-based AI models. The state has also conducted an AI Innovation Challenge to encourage practical solutions.

BRS urges Telangana HC to step in over recurring food poisoning incidents in residential schools
HYDERABAD The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has urged the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court to take suo motu cognisance of the recurring incidents of food poisoning in residential schools across Telangana. The appeal comes in the wake of 111 students from the Jyotiba Phule Backward Classes Welfare Residential School for Girls in Uyyalawada, Nagarkurnool district, being hospitalised on Sunday. BRS leader T. Harish Rao, who visited the school along with party leaders Marri Janardhan Reddy, C. Laxma Reddy, Guvvala Balaraju and others, interacted with students and parents at the hospital. He expressed concern that such a serious incident had occurred in Chief Minister Reddy's home district, despite the CM also holding the Education portfolio. 'When the government can spend ₹1 lakh for a meal during the Miss World beauty pageant, why can't it provide safe food to students in residential schools,' Rao questioned. He further criticised the government for what he termed as a political vendetta, asking if erasing the legacy of former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao meant neglecting students to the extent of illness and even death. Not a day goes by without distressing news about residential school students, he said, adding that while the government has been talking about integrated schools for the past 20 months, not a single one has yet been established. Rao said that repeated incidents of food poisoning in government residential schools were eroding public trust, leading to a drop in admissions as parents were increasingly reluctant to send their children to such institutions. He urged the Chief Minister to introspect and take immediate steps to improve conditions, at the very least, by ensuring hygienic living environments and safe, nutritious food for students. He also interacted with students at the school and blamed the ongoing issues on the government's negligence and administrative failure, pointing out that such incidents have been frequently reported across the State over the past 20 months. He alleged that authorities rushed students to the hospital only after learning about the BRS team's visit, and in some cases, children were treated under trees on the school campus itself, making them hold IV fluid bottles in their hands. He further claimed that over 100 students have died in residential schools during this period, even as he underscored the urgent need for intervention.

BRS urges HC to take suo motu action on food poisoning cases in Gurukuls
Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao on Sunday urged the Telangana high court and the state human rights commission to take suo motu cognisance of the food poisoning incidents and student deaths in Gurukul institutions. He made the appeal after interacting with students of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Girls' BC Gurukul school in Nagarkurnool district, where 111 students reportedly fell ill after consuming contaminated food. He highlighted similar incidents in Jagtial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Peddakothpalli, and Husnabad, claiming that over 100 gurukul students died under the 20 months of Congress rule. He pointed out that under the BRS regime, the number of gurukul schools increased from 284 to 1,023, serving over 6 lakh students. However, he alleged that the Congress govt is not adhering to the mandated menu, instead serving worm-infested rice and poor-quality sambar in place of puri or chapati, as promised. Accusing the govt of endangering the future of children, he warned of statewide protests if the negligence continues.
