Netflix's Devil May Cry anime has taken the streaming world by storm, delivering high-octane action and a gripping storyline that has fans clamoring for more. Following the explosive first season, which premiered on April 3, 2025, Netflix quickly confirmed Devil May Cry Season 2, much to the delight of fans worldwide. With a cliffhanger ending that left viewers on edge, anticipation for the next chapter is at an all-time high. Here's everything we know so far about Devil May Cry Season 2. Devil May Cry Season 2 Release Date Speculation
While Netflix has officially renewed Devil May Cry for a second season, an exact release date has not been confirmed. Based on the production timeline of Adi Shankar's previous hit, Castlevania , which typically saw a 15-month gap between seasons, we can speculate a potential release window for Devil May Cry Season 2 in summer or autumn 2026. Cast and Characters
The voice cast for Devil May Cry Season 2 is expected to see the return of key actors from Season 1, though some changes may occur due to the passing of notable performers. Confirmed and potential returning cast members include: Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante: The charismatic demon hunter, voiced by Bosch, will remain the central figure. Bosch, known for roles in Bleach and Power Rangers , brings a fresh yet faithful take to Dante.
Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady: Despite mixed fan reactions to her portrayal, Lady is likely to return, though some X posts suggest her role may be reduced in favor of focusing on Dante and Vergil.
Robbie Daymond as Vergil: Vergil's emergence as a key antagonist sets the stage for a significant role in Season 2, with Daymond's performance expected to capture the character's intensity.
Hoon Lee as White Rabbit: While the White Rabbit was defeated in Season 1, the series could introduce new villains or revisit his legacy.
Chris Coppola as Enzo Ferino: A supporting character who may see further development. Plot Expectations for Devil May Cry Season 2
Devil May Cry Season 1 ended on a dramatic note, with Dante captured and placed in cryostasis by DARKCOM, while his brother Vergil emerged as a formidable antagonist, declaring war on humanity as 'The Knight' under King Mundus. Season 2 is expected to dive deeper into the complex relationship between Dante and Vergil, exploring their sibling rivalry and contrasting paths. The narrative will likely focus on Dante's escape from DARKCOM's facility and his mission to confront Vergil and thwart the demonic invasion.

YouTube's Victory in the TV Wars Depends on Parents
Here's a stat that might come as a shock to casual observers of the media ecosystem: The media company that commands the largest percentage of our eyeballs is not the mighty Netflix Inc., the Walt Disney Co. juggernaut or the omnipresent Inc. Prime. It's YouTube. The platform represents 12.4% of audiences' time spent watching television, according to Nielsen Holding Ltd.'s Media Distributor Gauge report for April. That beats Disney's 10.7% (which includes not only the platforms and channels that bear its name but ESPN and Hulu to boot), nearly doubles the 6.8% and 6.7% for Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery, respectively, and pummels the puny 3.5% share for Amazon. But before we hail the platform as another nail in traditional TV's coffin, it needs to accomplish something else: earn the trust of its users, particularly parents.

Everything Coming To Netflix In June: New Releases And What To Watch
What to watch on Netflix in June. Credit: Paramount / Netflix The summer is nearly upon us. School is out, the sun is shining and people are dragging themselves outdoors to enjoy the nice weather. But when you're done with all that nature and barbeque and galivanting around outside, there are plenty of shows and movies to watch in the great indoors. As always, Netflix has a brand new slate of shows, movies and Netflix Originals streaming this coming month. First we'll go over some highlights, and then we'll get to the big list. Of course, Netflix is known to drop some late arrivals and surprises so it's entirely possible more will come down the pipeline after this post is published. For weekly releases, be sure to check out my weekend streaming guide which comes out every Friday here on this blog (be sure to subscribe!) The biggest release of the month is, without a doubt, the third season of Korean survival-thriller Squid Game, just months after the release of Season 2. One of the biggest hits ever for Netflix, this rapid turnaround should keep fans happy and will undoubtedly score huge viewing numbers. Season 3 drops on June 27th. This should give me time to catch up. I still haven't watched the second season, partly because I was frustrated with the end of Season 1 and partly because I was just incredibly busy when Season 2 landed. As exciting – for fans of classic movies, anyways – is the release of a the Alfred Hitchcock Collection. This includes Vertigo (1958), Rear Window (1954), Frenzy (1972), The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), Family Plot (1976) and The Birds (1963). The biographical romance movie, Hitchcock (2012), starring Anthony Hopkins is also coming to Netflix in June. All of these land on June 1st. Netflix Original Series The Survivors comes to Netflix on June 6th. The Australian drama follows a man and his family returning to their old community which was destroyed by a terrible storm fifteen years earlier. The show stars Rings Of Power's very own Sauron, Charlie Vickers. It should be interesting to see him in a different role. Netflix Original Series The Waterfront bills itself as a cross between Outer Banks, Ozark and Succession, though that might be setting itself up for an overly high bar as far as comparisons go. The show was created by Scream screenwriter and Dawson's Creek creator Kevin Williamson. It follows the Buckley family as they 'fight to retain control of their crumbling North Carolina fishing empire.' It stars Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Jake Weary (Animal Kingdom), Maria Bello (A History Of Violence) and Holt McCallany (who also starred in the excellent Netflix serial killer drama Mindhunter). Those are the highlights for the month. If you're looking forward to something I haven't included, feel free to send me a tip on Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky or Facebook.
