Dancing on Ice: Comedian Josh Jones out after rehearsal injury
Comedian Josh Jones has been forced to withdraw from Dancing On Ice after being injured during rehearsals.The 32-year-old was due to perform alongside partner Tippy Packard in the third episode of the ITV reality skating show on Sunday, but will now leave the competition early.A message on the official Dancing On Ice social media channels said: "Josh and Tippy's partnership will be greatly missed. We will be helping to support Josh and wish him well with his recovery."The Mancunian comic had never ice skated before entering Dancing On Ice, telling viewers his experience was "as the say in Eurovision... nuls points".
Jones hosts the historical gossip podcast Dead Drama and is a co-presenter of the comedy podcast Chatting With Cherubs alongside Morgan Rees.He has also appeared on shows including Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and has hosted the BBC Three competition Fast Food Face-Off.He was partnered with professional figure skater Tippy Packard, who joined the show in 2022. The pair's first skate on Dancing On Ice was a light-hearted performance to the Scissor Sisters hit I Don't Feel Like Dancing, which landed them in the bottom two last week.They narrowly survived elimination, with the Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey becoming the first celebrity to be voted off the 2025 series.
Following Jones and Packard's exit from the show, fans took to social media calling for Healey to be allowed to return to the competition.There has been no announcement on whether the couple will be replaced.It is not the first time a contestant on the show has been forced to withdraw because of injury. In 2024, former Olympic athlete Greg Rutherford was forced to pull out of the final after sustaining an injury in rehearsals.Before last year's series had begun, former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb withdrew because of an ankle injury.Others have sustained injuries but continued to compete.Coronation Street star Antony Cotton fractured two ribs in 2018 when his partner, Brandee Malto, landed on top of him - but vowed that "the show must go on". And in the 2012 series, the former Brookside actor Jennifer Ellison attempted to impress the judges with a fierce "scorpion kick" - extending her leg towards the back of her head and cutting her head open with her skate.She continued until the semi-final before being eliminated.

Finally, Wynne claims he has been offered no support from the BBC with his mental health following his exit. He said: "I haven't heard from them since I got suspended, to me, I haven't heard from them, they've only spoken to my lawyers." After This Morning host Ben Shephard read out a reply from the BBC, saying they had offered Wynne support, Wynne said he wasn't aware of the support. Emmerdale and Coronation Street face major changes
Peter Fincham was the former Director of Television at ITV before Kevin Lygo took over. Fincham has suggested that, due to budget concerns at ITV, Emmerdale could move filming away from Yorkshire and merge production with Coronation Street in Manchester. The ex-ITV boss has predicted that following the recent announcement of daytime changes at the broadcaster, it's likely executives are looking at similar measures for the two soaps. 'Could you imagine, rather like the daytime consolidation, that ITV will decide to have them both made in the same place under one umbrella? Big savings. 'You still keep Emmerdale set in Yorkshire, but it could be made in Manchester and Salford, which is a bigger hub for ITV. 'I don't think that's inconceivable — it might be being planned as we speak." Emmerdale is currently made in north Leeds, while Coronation Street is mostly filmed in MediaCity in Salford. As the ex-ITV boss adds: "The new hub for Coronation Street in Salford, it cost many, many millions of pounds and it was better facilities for all the people who worked on it in the old place in the middle of Manchester." "Both are uniquely set in Manchester and Leeds and that production model will continue for the long term. "It's pure speculation to say otherwise." The change follows news that ITV is making major changes to its daytime scheduling in 2026. The overhaul will see Good Morning Britain (GMB) extended by half an hour from January 2026, while Lorraine Kelly's morning talk show will be reduced to 30 minutes for 30 weeks of the year.

Sun Racing told you that legendary 14-time champion trainer Paul is enabling the help of Meg at the auctions this year. 1 The pair hit up the Goffs Arkle sale in Ireland on Tuesday and got the cheque book out in style - snapping up three hugely promising sorts. The pick of the bunch was a £130,000 gelding by champion jumps sire Walk In The Park, whose mum Lackaneen Leader was placed in a Grade 1. Meg, who combines her role as an ITV pundit with sourcing top talent, said: "I'm absolutely delighted to get him. "We got our three top picks, and thought we might have had to stretch a bit more for the Walk In The Park. "Dad actually loved him from the moment he came out of his box. "His eyes lit up really, the horse had that bit of class about him. "He's really athletic, and we can't wait to get him back and get him going. "We knew he would make this sort of money – he really is classy, he had that swagger about him, and he's by the right sire. "We've been fighting hard against some big stables and as I have got older I've found it easier to work alongside Dad! "To get some pretty smart horses at what we valued them at - I'm delighted. Now we need to find the right owners for them." The pair also bought £78,000 L'Ami Pierrot, who is related to Nicky Henderson's former multiple Grade 1 winner L'Ami Serge. Being by Nirvana Du Berlais, he also shares a sire with Lulamba, so expect him to be a speedy sort capable over hurdles. The Nicholls also went to £75,000 for an unnamed gelding by Vadamos, whose progeny include Grade 3 winner The Other Mozzie and Grade 1-placed runners such as Matata and King Of Kingsfield. Nicholls told Sun Racing he will continue to work with long-time sales ally Tom Malone. But he thought it would be beneficial having another set of eyes helping him too, hence the decision to bring in Meg. He said: "I've been hearing all sorts of rumours, Tom and I are good mates but there has never been any contract between us. "He's a freelance and he buys plenty for me, so do several others. "I'm going to work with everybody, but Megan is going to get quite a bit more involved for me. "Results could have gone better over the last few years but that's the way things are, it's very hard buying these days. "I'll keep all avenues open, but more so than ever I'd like to get Megan much more involved on that front."
