After her win against Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam 2025, Becky Lynch made an appearance the next night at RAW for some good old gloating.
She said that now that Lyra could not challenge her for the title anymore, she was open to new challengers. She was about to continue when none other than Nikki Bella showed up and, after a mocking congratulations, she started going off on the WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion, saying Nikki was disappointed in Lynch and the latter didn't deserve any glory.
The back and forth continued for a while before Lynch dropped a bomb. Bella had made a comment on Lynch's husband,
Seth Rollins
, who after pretending to be injured, appeared at the end of SummerSlam Night 1.
He cashed in his Money in the Bank suitcase to defeat a newly minted World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, and took that belt and title for himself. Nikki said that both he and Lynch were liars, but The Man knew just how to shut her opponent up.
"Me and my hot husband are the greatest wrestling couple of all time," she began before adding, "But, wait a minute, at one point, that would have been you and your ... oh, wait, you can't see him anymore!"
Lynch, for better effect, used Cena's iconic "You Can't See Me" gesture to add insult to injury. Nikki looked visibly shocked and the crowd went wild at the mention of their past relationship. But, the important question here is: Did Nikki Bella give WWE the permission to use her personal life to cut promos or was this yet another unsanctioned mess?

The incident with Lynch wasn't even the first time that tidbits from Nikki Bella's own life were used by her opponents to add spice to their rivalry. Previously, when Nikki and Liv Morgan were supposed to start a feud before Morgan's unfortunate injury, the latter had done something similar. "I have respect, I have a championship, and I have a man," Morgan had said, mentioning Nikki's divorce to her ex-husband, Artem Chigvintsev.
Given this has happened more than once, fans are assuming the diva gave her okay for the promotion to use these bits in her promos.
