Emma Willis ‘all good now' after undergoing heart surgery earlier this year
Emma Willis is 'all good now' after undergoing heart surgery earlier this year. The 48-year-old television presenter revealed in April that she had been born with a hole in her heart and underwent surgery at the Royal Brompton hospital in London to correct it. She has now said the procedure was carried out using keyhole surgery – involving small incisions in the chest rather than opening the breastbone – which meant she avoided the long recovery associated with open-heart surgery and described her recovery as 'smooth'. In a new interview with the Daily Mirror, Emma said: 'I'm all good now. I had a bit of time off.' Her husband Matt Willis, 41, added in the joint interview about her condition: 'She's not very good at sitting still.' He also explained he had tried to take the lead in their household during her recovery. The couple, who met in 2004 and share three children, also discussed their relationship as they prepare to present Love Is Blind UK for a second year. Emma said: 'Love, time, commitment, compromise, f*** knows. I mean, hopefully we'll still be going in another 20 years or 30 years or 40 years and then we'll be in a box together!' She added: 'We like to keep our eye across everything. So we don't drop the ball, we make sure we have time for each other and prioritise that.' Matt said: 'Having children for us was such a massive thing. It changed everything. It takes it to a whole new level. It's bonkers but I love it.' According to The Sun, Emma and Matt have stepped back from hosting Love Is Blind UK's spin-off podcast, with TikTok creator Sarel taking over for the upcoming series. A source told the newspaper: 'Matt and Emma loved doing it but they're so, so busy – they couldn't make their schedules work. Sarel is huge on TikTok and will be really popular with listeners.' Netflix confirmed last week season two of Love Is Blind UK will launch on 13 August, with 10 episodes released over three weeks. In the programme, single participants meet in enclosed pods without seeing each other, forming connections based only on conversation before deciding whether to meet, move in together and marry. The streaming service also released a teaser trailer, including one man saying: 'I don't find it difficult to date multiple women. That's just a part of the game,' and a woman replying: 'That's really disrespectful, I'm not your plan B.' Photographs released from the new series include an apparent engagement ring and a scene in which a man rests his hand against a wall inside one of the pods.

My Chemical Romance fans think they've teased a UK tour
My Chemical Romance have hinted at a UK tour. The Teenagers rockers are currently on the North American leg of their Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour and have dates booked in South America and Asia next year. And on Friday (08.08.25), the group suggested they could also be planning a return to the UK after sharing a new video featuring an old-school TV game show called Quizzo. In the clip, the host said: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter." After a player pushes a big button, the host revealed: 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' The post caused fans in the comment to query whether it meant some new tour dates are to be announced soon. This isn't the first time the group have sparked speculation with a cryptic post because last month, fans were convinced new music was on their way. A picture depicting a stage light was captioned on the band's Instagram: "A dagger, a dagger, Please fetch me a dagger." The art also features the clue "Time: 7:11:25:00". Sadly for fans, new material didn't materialise and it seemed to be a reference to the start of their Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour in the US. In 2022, MCR released their first new music in a almost decade, the single The Foundations of Decay. In February, Frank Iero kept tight-lipped on rumours about a new My Chemical Romance album. The guitarist and backup vocalist insisted that there was no news to tell with regards to new material. Asked if there is anything to 'report' about a follow-up to 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, he told NME: 'No, sorry. 'When that stuff – if that stuff were to happen, we will tell you. We will tell you in the way we want to tell you.' The 43-year-old musician also stayed schtum about the Long Live The Black Parade Tour heading across the pond to the UK. He said: 'It's been long-documented that we are huge fans of the UK – this is a home away from home for us. 'We've done things where the first place we played for a record release was the UK. It's always felt like a place that we love and that we hold very dear. But, to tell the future? It would be remiss to do that.'

Good jeans? Why JD Vance is right about Sydney Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney probably lost me when she sold soap supposedly containing some of her own bathwater. We'd barely recovered from the bathtub scene in Saltburn when she released a limited edition soap called 'Sydney's Bathwater Bliss', at a bargain $12. This bliss flew into mailbags, with its 'morning wood' scent of fir, moss, pine and a 'touch' of her bathwater. Mmmmm, germy bathwater. Of course, it sold out. The woman who has the curvature of a 1950s pinup, and the wide-eyed stare of an ingénue, does not struggle to garner attention. And now she has taken part in a deliberately provocative ad for jeans that has inflamed the left, who see it as blatantly racist – or at the least very, very white – and thereby delighted the right. A cute blonde, a sprinkle of race baiting and – bam! – the perfect ad has been created. And by perfect, I mean the kind that briefly galvanises outrage and jacks up share prices. I know, it's confusing. What happened is that Sweeney featured in an ad for American Eagle jeans where she played on the idea of good genes. As the tagline says, 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans', nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Genes too, if you like white, conventionally attractive people. I'd struggle to think of a more conventionally, stereotypically attractive white woman; actually, she's almost cartoonishly hot. As she pulls up her blue jeans on this ad, Sweeney says: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour.' She turns to the camera: 'My jeans are blue'. Which leads us to the rather obvious conclusion that 'great genes' means white, blue-eyed and kinda Aryan. At a time when the current president has said there were 'a lot of bad genes' in the United States, while discussing murders allegedly committed by illegal immigrants. This did not go down well. A Tiktok by @thealtperspective, viewed 1.8 million times, summed up the reaction: 'literally an ad FULL of racist and fascist dog whistles ... It's literally being retweeted with 'we're so back' by RACISTS.'
