DFA officials said more than 150,000 REAL IDs were issued in just over a month.
'This week some offices temporarily reached capacity in relation to REAL ID and customers were redirected to nearby offices,' DFA Secretary Jim Hudson said. 'However, our offices are being continually restocked with necessary supplies, and DFA staff are working tirelessly to make sure our customers get served.'
REAL ID takes effect in Arkansas. So, what if I don't have one?
Hudson suggested that those who do not need an immediate need for a REAL ID to return later in May to avoid long lines. Appointments can also be made at DFA.Arkansas.gov.
Those who do not have a REAL ID can go through extra screening at an airport to board a flight.

Bill Belichick has tried to land Jordon Hudson ‘6-figure' jobs, insider says
Bill Belichick has reportedly been trying to line up some lucrative gigs for his girlfriend (and rumored fiancée) Jordon Hudson. Journalist Pablo Torre, who has been prolific in reporting about the Belichick-Hudson relationship, told Pro Football Talk that the former Patriots coach has tried to boost Hudson's career. Advertisement 'Bill Belichick has told multiple people that I've talked to directly – he has called her brilliant. He has tried to get her six-figure jobs on the media enterprises that he was also working for," Torre said. Torre, the host of Pablo Torre Finds Out, has been vocal in highlighting the significant role Hudson plays in Belichick's life and business. Torre noted that, sure, the 49-year age gap is something that draws attention. However, he notes that there's a big story here. As the head coach at North Carolina, Belichick is the highest-paid public employee in the state. At the same time, Hudson has been acting as his agent, manager and PR specialist. Torre disputed the idea that Hudson was merely handling 'lower level stuff' like social media. He insists that Hudson is 'at the top' of Belichcick's operations. Advertisement 'She is the CEO of Belichick Productions, even if that LLC is not actually incorporated anywhere. That's the LinkedIn profile,' Torre said. 'She is his idea mill and creative muse, per the acknowledgments page of his book. She is the person that you had to deal with if you were Matt (expletive) Damon. The whole idea of, 'No, she's doing the lower level stuff.' No, this is at the top.' Why mention Damon? Torre noted earlier in the interview that Damon and Ben Affleck were put in the usual position of having to negotiate with Hudson when they tried to get Belichick to be in their Dunkin' Super Bowl commercial. Per Torre, the meeting left the actors 'flabbergasted.' More Patriots Content Read the original article on MassLive.

Arkansas medical marijuana sales 'on track' to reach new high, DFA says
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Medical marijuana sales in Arkansas topped $121 million through May, setting a pace that could break the state's annual sales record. Medical marijuana sales in Arkansas totaled $121,024,696 from January through May 2025—an increase of about $7.2 million compared to the same period last year, according to the Department of Finance and Administration. During those five months, dispensaries sold 32,474 pounds of product, up from roughly 30,000 pounds in early 2024. Monthly sales broke down as follows: January: $23.6 million February: $21.9 million March: $25 million April: $24.9 million May: $25.5 million So far this year, tax revenue from medical marijuana is averaging $2.68 million per month. Daily sales are averaging $806,000, which puts the state on track to surpass 2023's record of $283 million in total sales, DFA spokesperson Scott Hardin said. In 2024, total sales reached $275.9 million, with dispensaries selling 75,598 pounds of product, up from 62,227 pounds in 2023. The rise in volume was attributed to lower prices, which led to increased purchasing even as total revenue declined. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission announce new outdoor education pilot program As of the latest count, 109,854 of around three million Arkansans hold active medical marijuana patient cards, according to the Arkansas Department of Health. In April 2025, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders vetoed a bill that would have allowed medical marijuana deliveries via dispensary vehicles or drive-throughs. Sanders said in her veto letter that '[t]his legislation would expand access to usable marijuana, therefore I am vetoing.' On October 21, 2024, the Arkansas Supreme Court ruled that votes for a medical marijuana expansion measure would not be counted because its ballot language was 'misleading' and did not fully explain the effects. Although early voting had started, the measure stayed on the ballot but any votes cast for it were discarded. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. State agencies launch new Arkansas outdoor education program
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders discusses an outdoor education pilot program during a press conference on June 4, 2025 in Little Rock. (Screenshot from livestream) The governor announced on Wednesday the creation of a new outdoor education pilot program that will accept up to 30 Arkansas school districts that apply to participate. A partnership between the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the program will help equip students for a career in outdoor recreation, according to a press release from the governor's office. During Wednesday's announcement at AGFC's Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in Little Rock, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said if the pilot is successful, the program could be expanded to schools across the state and provide a model for the entire country. Getting kids outdoors will help improve their education, health and quality of life, Sanders said. 'Starting today, districts across our state can apply to be one of 30 schools to offer outdoor education built around the standards taught in core and elective content areas, experiences in outdoor learning engagement and projects that empower students to think critically and solve problems about the world around them,' she said. Doug Schoenrock, who was named AGFC's 20th director in April, said the 'truly unique' pilot program will bring the outdoors into the classroom and vice versa. 'And most importantly, this program will bring outdoors to the hearts and minds of our students, and build a connection with the Natural State, which we as Arkansans hold so dear,' Schoenrock said. The new initiative combines several of the governor's priorities, including education, workforce development and outdoor recreation. The pilot program responds to a recommendation made by the Natural State Initiative Advisory Council in its 2023 report to expand outdoor recreation programs to schools. Sanders launched the Natural State Initiative in an effort to expand Arkansas' outdoor economy, and its advisory council is chaired by her husband, Bryan. Tourism is the state's second largest industry behind agriculture. In the most recent year for which data is available, Arkansas welcomed more than 50 million visitors who spent nearly $10 billion, much of which went to outdoor recreation, according to the press release. Applications for the outdoor education pilot program are available on AGFC's website. SUBSCRIBE: GET THE MORNING HEADLINES DELIVERED TO YOUR INBOX
