According to multiple reports and certification documents, the Magic V5 could become the thinnest foldable on the market, with a folded profile measuring under 9mm, potentially beating the current record held by the Oppo Find N5 (8.93mm). The move would also position it ahead of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 , which is rumored to come in at exactly 8.9mm.But the ultra-thin form factor doesn't mean Honor is compromising on power or battery life. Flagship specs and a bold new finish

Fast charging remains at 66W, and if Honor manages to maintain its 45-minute full charge time despite the battery bump, that alone could make the Magic V5 a battery champion in its category. The Magic V5 is confirmed to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, the top-end variant of Qualcomm's latest chip with higher-clocked performance cores (up to 4.47GHz). Cameras, display, and satellite connectivity
The Magic V5 is tipped to feature an 8-inch main folding display and a 6.45-inch cover screen, with both panels likely using OLED technology.
The phone is expected to arrive in four colorways: Velvet Black, Snow White, Tundra Green, and a new premium-looking Silk Gold finish. This new color is likely intended to help the device stand out visually, particularly as Samsung's foldables tend to stick to more conservative tones. The Magic V5 is tipped to feature an 8-inch main folding display and a 6.45-inch cover screen, with both panels likely using OLED technology.
Another rumored addition is BeiDou satellite messaging support, which would give users limited off-grid communication capabilities — a feature that's gradually becoming more common on high-end phones in China.

While Samsung is likely to focus on software integration and Galaxy AI , Honor is instead doubling down on hardware innovation with a thinner profile, larger battery, and potentially stronger camera hardware. vivo X Fold5 dimensions and battery capacity revealed

The vivo X Fold5 will be announced on June 25 (Wednesday next week), but the company is already teasing some key aspects of the phone. For example, earlier this month it posted this image that compared X Fold5's thickness against the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Another teaser showed that the new model is lighter than the X Fold3 Pro. Neither teaser offered concrete numbers, though. vivo X Fold5 Now vivo exec Han Boxiao has decided to remove some of the ambiguity – 'the X Fold5 is about 2mm thinner and 20 grams lighter' than the X Fold3 Pro. That would mean a 216g phone that measures 9.2mm thick when closed (sub 5mm when opened, but the exact number depends on the hinge design). Unlike other brands pursuing thinness, vivo is not sacrificing battery life – the new model will have a 6,000mAh battery, 300mAh more than the thicker and heavier older model. This will be achieved with the industry's first fourth-generation silicon anode, writes Han. The silicon content will be 2.5x higher, which will increase battery density by 13%. Additionally, the battery will feature a second-generation semi-solid electrolyte, which will allow it to remain functional to very low temperatures of -30°C (-22°F). vivo X Fold5's 6,000mAh battery Previous teasers have told us that the vivo X Fold5 will set a new benchmark for ingress protection on foldables – IP5X for solids and IPX9+ for water. IP48 is the current best rating on a foldable. The IPX9+ rating specifically refers to the ability to fold and unfold the phone while it is submerged in water. vivo X Fold5 Additionally, the X Fold5 will use LTPO 8T panels for the cover and main displays, which will be able to reach 4,500 nits peak brightness and will boast Zeiss Master Color calibration.
