'I live near Heaton Park and can't believe what some Oasis fans did to my flat'
Oasis's hotly-anticipated reunion tour has kicked off with a bang, with thousands of music lovers across the world overjoyed after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed they'd put their feud behind them to embark on a globe-trotting string of gigs celebrating the band's Britpop legacy. The tour signals the band's first live appearance since they split back in 2009, and it began on July 4 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Oasis' much longed-for reunion - and the tour - was confirmed on August 27 2024, two days before the 30th anniversary of the band's influential and iconic debut album, Definitely Maybe. Formed in Manchester in 1991, the group's homecoming gigs at Heaton Park kicked off on Friday, July 11. They're playing five dates, with the final taking place on Sunday, July 20. However, while most people were enjoying the show respectfully, it seems some people weren't as respectful to the surrounding community as others. In a post on Reddit, one anonymous Heaton Park local claimed: 'For those Oasis fans who are at Heaton Park tonight. Thanks. 'You've parked your cars on private land and taken my parking space. There's cans, bottles and other rubbish left on my doorstep. 'When I left earlier tonight, there was four of you taking a p*** up the side of my building despite four portaloos literally just across the road. Approaching my flat, the place smelled like p***.' While some locals may relish being able to hear the band's vocals after the mad scramble to obtain coveted tickets for the shows, this person remained thoroughly unimpressed. They continued: 'The weather is so hot so our windows are open. The music is so loud, despite being a kilometre away, that we can't hear the TV. 'Parklife wasn't this bad. Absolutely f***ing shameful display.' In the comments section, people shared their thoughts. One person advised: 'If you contact the community impact team they will arrange a clean up crew to attend your premises, there are council staff on the streets'. Another said: 'Can't say I'm surprised', while a third joked: 'Just don't look back in anger.' A fourth, who also lives near Heaton Park, offered their perspective: 'I live pretty much across the road from the park and (so far) this has been so much less disruptive than Parklife. 'Chances are it's not every Oasis fan, but with 80k people there's bound to be the odd tosser here [and] there.' In a follow up comment, the original poster added: 'I posted mostly for fun and fair play to the posters here, most of them have been hilarious. There are absolutely far more serious issues to get upset at.' The Community Impact Team "manage and mitigate the impact of major events held at Manchester City Council's Heaton Park". Those who experience issues can contact them by completing the online form, calling, 0161 883 1962 (on event days 2pm to 12.30am or leaving a message requesting a callback), or by visiting the Maccabi Community and Sports Centre (4pm to 9pm on event days).

Newly-single Orlando Bloom has the time of his life at Oasis gig as he sings and dances with Liam and Noel Gallagher's kids and famous pals
Newly-single Orlando Bloom had the time of his life at the Oasis gig in Manchester on Saturday as he shared a series of videos dancing and singing on Instagram. The English actor, 48, enjoyed watching brothers Liam and Noel from the VIP area along with their children and famous pals. Orlando looked thrilled to be partying with the headliner's children including Liam's sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 24. The Lord of the Rings star warned his seven million followers to skip his Instagram Stories if you don't like Oasis as he shared several clips of him singing to the group. He wrote: 'If you don't like @oasis swipe on - if you wanna see me run through some of my favourite karoke numbers for laughs here you are lol.' Throughout the concert, Orlando sang along to the likes of Oasis hits Don't Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. He looked to have not a care in the world as he also sang along with the crowd during tracks Take Me Away, Half the World Away and Live Forever. In another snap following the concert, the Pirates of the Caribbean added: 'My 16 year old self who was at Knebworth just let it all hang out in Manchester what a night'. Ahead of the show, Orlando seemed in good spirits on social media as he penned: 'Road to Oasis. Could not be more f'in excited,' while travelling to the gig. 'It's gonna be karaoke all night,' he declared as he flashed a smile at the camera. Another snap showed him smiling and singing along to hit Don't Look Back In Anger in the background, as he relaxed on a boat. Meanwhile Orlando has brushed off his awkward reunion with ex-fiancée Katy Perry. Orlando and Katy, 40, confirmed their split earlier this month as they entered a 'new relationship dynamic', but just days later were pictured together at pals Jeff and Lauren Bezos' honeymoon. Orlando and Katy began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019, before welcoming their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove into the world. He wrote: 'If you don't like @oasis swipe on - if you wanna see me run through some of my favourtie karaoke numbers for laughs here you are lol' After the couple were trailed by rumours about the state of their relationship, it was widely reported that they have gone their separate ways. Representatives for the pair have confirmed to that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' The insider further added that the reported breakup had been 'a long time coming' and that their relationship had also been 'tense for months.' On Wednesday, Orlando posted about his reunion with Perry in a carousel of snaps, after awkwardly jetting off on holiday together, despite their split. The former couple's daughter Daisy - who turns five next month in August - was also seen with her parents on the Italian getaway. In the wake of their separation, Orlando had whisked himself away to Venice to attend the star-studded nuptials between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez this past weekend. Katy, who had been a guest at Lauren's bachelorette party in Paris and was also one of the bride's fellow passengers on the controversial all-female Blue Origin space flight launched by Jeff, was not in attendance. When it emerged that Orlando was going to the wedding alone, Katy's absence was explained away as a scheduling conflict with her Lifetimes tour in Australia. At the wedding, Orlando was spotted mingling with a number of celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Sydney Sweeney. Fresh from three days partying at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Venice wedding extravaganza, Orlando headed on board Ritz-Carlton's gleaming 794ft Luminara for its inaugural cruise from Rome. Orlando was also recently spotted cosying up to Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, during a water taxi ride as they headed to the airport following the Amazon founder's wedding this past weekend. A separate source recently told that Katy had been left hurt by Orlando's actions. 'It's disappointing. It's hurtful and annoying. If he's going to behave like an acting-up adolescent, that's on him. She's going to continue to work and take care of Daisy.' They added, 'Katy knows that he's free to do whatever the hell he wants to do, she hoped he'd do it a little more discreetly and thoughtfully. So she's disappointed and sad.' During one of the early shows of her Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City this April, Katy had been seen sobbing while singing her song Pearl about leaving a troubled romance. After news had spread of her split from Orlando, she once again fought back tears while addressing a concert audience in Adelaide, holding her hands in the shape of a heart and saying: 'Thank you, Australia, for always being there for me.' Orlando meanwhile shared cryptic social media posts about 'loneliness' and 'darkness,' intensifying the speculation about his relationship status.
