Last year's Galaxy Z Fold 6, for instance, debuted with up to $1,200 off with eligible phone trade-ins and a free storage upgrade (this alone was worth $120).Moreover, early Z Fold 6 buyers received a year of Samsung Care+ at no cost, an additional $156 discount. As if that's not enough, early birds got a $100 Samsung Credit for reserving their unit. That one is typically redeemable toward accessory purchases at the time of pre-order.
Should Samsung keep this tradition, and we believe it will, you might be in for up to $1,400 off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 . That sounds like a pretty solid bargain for a handset that's anything but cheap. Expected pre-order deals at Amazon While Samsung usually offers the best pre-order deals on its book-like foldables, Amazon will likely have a great launch offer in its own right. The e-commerce giant usually celebrates pre-orders with an Amazon Gift Card and a free storage upgrade. Last year's model arrived with a $300 gift card on top of the $120 discount (free storage upgrade).
The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 will probably launch with a similar offer, making Amazon a solid alternative for early buyers. Expected pre-order deals at Verizon Are you a Verizon customer? In that case, you should consider getting the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a plan by your favorite carrier. Over here, you can expect at least $800 off with any phone trade-in in any condition, though the pre-order deal will likely only work with new line activations on select Unlimited plans. Expected pre-order deals at T-Mobile We expect T-Mobile 's Galaxy Z Fold 7 pre-order deal to be even better than what Verizon is likely to offer, so T-Mobile fans are in for a treat. Users who pre-order at the official store on a select T-Mobile plan could get a free year of Samsung Care+ ($156 value). But that's not all; there might be a $220 discount on the book-like foldable.
Additionally, trade-ins will likely be accepted. Users with the right device in good condition might be able to save an extra $1,100 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 asking price. As usual, T-Mobile will probably apply the promotional credit through 24 monthly bill credits. Expected pre-order deals at AT&T If AT&T sticks to its usual approach, you might be able to save on more than just the Z Fold 7 during the pre-order period. For example, the carrier allowed users to grab a free storage upgrade on the 512GB model and get an extra up to $1,100 with eligible device trade-ins. This offer only worked with select Unlimited plans. Unlike other major carriers, AT&T provided bundle offers, helping users save on a Galaxy Watch 7 or a select Galaxy tablet.

Samsung beats Apple for the 'super-premium' throne in this huge smartphone market
India has been a very important battlefield for the world's top smartphone vendors for many years now, and the latest regional sales report put together by the International Data Corporation (IDC) provides quite a few interesting and somewhat conflicting findings for a lot of major mobile hardware brands. The likes of Vivo, Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Motorola, Xiaomi, and OnePlus all have reasons to be delighted... and disappointed with their Q2 2025 smartphone shipment figures in the world's most populous nation, and just like when we discussed those numbers published by Counterpoint Research a couple of weeks back, it's difficult to name the region's biggest winner... or biggest loser for this year's April to June timeframe. If you're the least bit familiar with the Indian smartphone market, you probably already know that iPhones aren't as popular as many affordable Android devices. But I bet you didn't expect to see Apple surpassed by Motorola in addition to Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, Realme, and Xiaomi. That's right, the Cupertino-based tech giant is only India's seventh-largest smartphone vendor as of the end of Q2 2025 despite boosting its market share from 6.7 percent during last year's April-June quarter to 7.5 percent now and improving its sales numbers by a solid 19.7 percent year-on-year. Vivo was number one in Q2 2024, and is still India's top smartphone vendor. Incredibly enough, Motorola managed to bump up its own second-quarter scores by a whopping 39.4 percent between 2024 and 2025, and even more incredibly, there were at least two brands that registered bigger progresses in the same period of time. Specifically, 84.9 percent for Nothing (which is however still not one of the country's top ten vendors), and 68.4 percent for IQOO (which is ranked right behind Apple and ahead of Poco and OnePlus in eight place). OnePlus, mind you, registered the largest decline between its Q2 2024 and Q2 2025 shipment scores in India, at a painful 39.4 percent, followed by Poco and Xiaomi. All in all, the IDC estimates that Q2 sales jumped by a healthy 7.3 percent from last year, but if you add the numbers from the previous quarter, you get a 70 million total for 2025's first six months that's only 0.9 percent larger than the market's H1 2024 tally. Of course, any progress is better than no progress, but the country's annual growth after a mediocre 2024 is expected to be "limited" by "subdued consumer demand" over the remainder of 2025. What's the difference between the "premium" and "super-premium" segments? A phone's price, of course, with models available for anywhere between $600 and $800 falling in the former category and those costing more than $800 earning a place in the latter. Surprisingly (or not), that means Samsung has the most successful super-expensive smartphones in India, undoubtedly spearheaded by the state-of-the-art Galaxy S25 Ultra. Before doing a victory dance in front of their iPhone-loving friends and foes, however, Galaxy aficionados should know that their favorite brand's advantage over Apple in India's super-premium division was almost negligible, at 49 to 48 percent market share. Those are some very interesting fluctuations for almost all major brands... apart from Vivo. Meanwhile, Apple's lead over... everyone else in the "standard" premium segment was absolutely massive, as the "vanilla" iPhone 16 and iPhone 15 came together to account for more than 60 percent of the category's shipments. Also, this was by far the market's largest grower of all categories, at almost 100 percent. Of course, the "mass budget" and "entry-premium" segments remain easily the biggest of the bunch, at 42 and 27 percent shares respectively, and those categories are obviously not dominated by Apple. Instead, Vivo continues to sell the largest number of smartphones priced between $100 and $400 in India, followed by Oppo and Samsung. That explains Vivo's overall market supremacy, as well as Apple's inability to crack even the nation's top five vendors group, let alone the top three.

Samsung Galaxy A07 color options and specifications leaked
The upcoming Galaxy A07 from Samsung has seen its fair share of leaks. Most recently, the phone was spotted on a certification site. While design renders of the smartphone had leaked earlier, new renders show the phone in three color options. The phone is expected to launch this month. As per renders shared by a tipster, the Galaxy A07 will be available in three color options - grey or dark blue, green, and light blue. The images also reveal some specifications of the handset. It will be equipped with a 6nm SoC, offer an IP54 rating, and sport a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A07 will also get six years of Android updates and security patches. T-Mobile has introduced the Revvl 8, the newest phone in its budget-friendly lineup. It will be available starting August 14 exclusively from T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile , and will be priced at either $199.99 or free with certain offers. If you don't happen to be familiar with the Revvl series, let's just say that it is T-Mobile 's in-house phone brand. It could very well be one of these, as they are designed to give customers affordable smartphones that still deliver certain specifications. Now, the Revvl 8 joins the Revvl Tab 2 in offering devices built to work well with T-Mobile 's network and features. The Revvl 8 has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2408) and runs Android 15 out of the box. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. In the sub-$200 5G market, the Revvl 8 competes with phones like the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and Motorola Moto G 5G (2024). These alternatives may have more polished designs or OLED displays, but the Revvl 8's strengths are its network integration, long-term security updates, and carrier perks. The Revvl 8 offers strong value, especially through carrier promotions. Still, the IPS LCD may feel dated compared to OLED panels on some competitors, and the 2MP macro camera adds little practical use. However, I believe that for those looking for a capable 5G phone tied to a plan with solid perks, this is a good option to consider.
