Jonathan Bailey Explains Those Scarlett Johansson Kisses

Jonathan Bailey Explains Those Scarlett Johansson Kisses

Cosmopolitan14 hours ago

Jonathan Bailey and his slutty little glasses struck again last night at the New York premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth. Not only did he stun on the red carpet, he also kissed Scarlett Johansson—again! But while some in the U.S. might think that a kiss on the lips is a bit of an odd way to greet a co-star, Jonathan explained his kiss with Scarlett, saying it's just what friends do!
'I believe in being able to show love in all different ways. And if you can't kiss your friends... life's too short not to,' he told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet when asked about the smooch. Hard to argue that logic—especially if your friends are gorgeous movie stars who helped you survive an island full of dangerous dinosaurs resurrected by a mad scientist.
ICYMI, last week Jonathan and Scarlett shared a respectful peck at the World Premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth in London on Tuesday, June 17. The clip went viral—as most things involving Jonathan being charming do nowadays—and no doubt this New York premiere kiss will do the same. Just look at how she grabs his face! (Also, note the placement of his hands around her waist! We love a man who respects boundaries.) Needless to say, if Jonathan was hoping to put an end to his reputation as the most charming man in Hollywood, he's going to be disappointed.
Scarlett was also asked about their kiss on the red carpet. When asked about the fan obsession with the simple greeting by Access Hollywood, she laughed, joking, 'They got some time.' She also teased their onscreen dynamic in the film, saying, 'The characters have a great relationship and ultimately I think they really impact one another for the better.'
Of course, ScarJo previously gushed over her co-star, reportedly calling him 'delicious in every way.' When asked to elaborate by E! News on the Oscars red carpet, Scarlett responded, 'Have you seen him?' She continued, 'He's such a wonderful man and he's an incredible actor and he's just a delicious treat!' No objections here!

Scarlett Johansson's Best Roles on Her Path to Jurassic World Rebirth

Originally appeared on E! Online Scarlett Johansson's star power has never been lost in translation. So when it was time to cast a believable badass to outrun, out-swim and outsmart a coterie of eerily evolved dinosaurs in Jurassic World Rebirth, it had to be her. Yet the actress—who's proved over the course of her 30-year career that she can deftly handle any screen challenge, from superhero stunts to playing an A.I. operating system—insists she's the lucky one. "I've been trying to get into a Jurassic movie for, I don't know, 15 years or something,' Johansson told The Hollywood Reporter in May during the Cannes Film Festival, where her feature directorial debut Eleanor the Great was screening. 'I was so stoked that it all came together.' Seemingly she could have had her pick of parts in the decade-old Jurassic World franchise, but being in demand does have its downside: There's only so much time every year for a movie star mom of two—Johansson shares son Cosmo, 3, with husband Colin Jost and daughter Rose, 10, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac—to commit to a big-budget action movie. But, happily, life finds a way. More from E! Online Allison Holker Was an 'Almond Mom' to Daughter Weslie Selena Gomez Unveils Bangin' New Hair Transformation Hailey Bieber Shares Video With Wedding Ring Amid Justin Bieber Breakup Speculation "When I first heard that there was a new Jurassic movie coming, that it was written with a female lead who was the age that I could fit into, and that it was happening during a time period that I could shoot," Johansson explained, "it was particularly surreal." The New York native's swift rise to superstardom also had the tinge of the surreal about it. Johansson showed her gravitas as a child actress in touching fare like Manny & Lo and The Horse Whisperer before breaking out in Sofia Coppola's revered 2004 indie dramedy Lost in Translation, joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Widow and scoring dual Oscar nominations in 2021 for Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit. And now the 40-year-old is finally part of the world she first experienced as a kid, watching velociraptors learn how to open doors from her seat in a theater showing Jurassic Park. Whether or not Johansson laid it on a little thick for director Steven Spielberg, who remains an executive producer on the Jurassic World franchise, is beside the point. As she noted to THR, "I could've played it cooler and maybe I wouldn't have gotten it." Jonathan Bailey Has the Perfect Response to Scarlett Johansson's Red Carpet Kiss

THE RUNDOWN Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson are sharing more than just screen time. Yesterday, at the New York premiere of their upcoming summer blockbuster Jurassic World Rebirth, the co-stars shared a quick kiss on the red carpet. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, when Bailey was told that he 'might just be the luckiest guy on this red carpet tonight,' the Wicked star charmingly responded, 'Well, of course. Yes, absolutely.' He continued, 'I believe in being able to show love in all different ways. And if you can't kiss your friends... life's too short not to.' This isn't Bailey and Johansson's first red carpet kiss, though. They did the same thing last week at the London premiere on June 17. When asked about the internet's obsession with the now-viral moment, Johansson laughed and said, 'People got some time [on their hands].' She then spoke about her onscreen chemistry with Bailey. 'The characters have a great relationship,' she told Access Hollywood, 'and ultimately, I think they really impact one another for the better.' The actress also said that she '100 percent' understands why Bailey always goes viral. 'I mean, I get it,' she said. 'I'm there.' Jurassic World Rebirth also stars Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, and Rupert Friend. It'll hit theaters on July 2.

Taylor Swift Wakes Up From Nightmare Where Travis Kelce Wins Oscar Before Her

BOCA RATON, FL—Sitting straight up in bed in a cold sweat as she struggled to shake the horrifying image from her mind, pop superstar Taylor Swift reportedly awoke from a nightmare Tuesday in which her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, won an Oscar before she did. 'It was horrible—they called his name, and I had to stand up and smile as he kissed me on the cheek before going up to accept the statuette from Lupita Nyong'o,' said the 14-time Grammy winner, breathlessly recalling the details of a dream wherein Kelce retired from the NFL to pursue acting, was cast in a lead role in a feature film, and turned out a surprisingly sensitive and raw performance that made him a favorite to win the Academy Award for best actor. 'I know it's just in my head. I mean, in real life he can barely read without slowly sounding out the words, but the thought of it still makes me nauseous. Oh God, he got to be directed by Greta Gerwig too, and she called him a 'generational talent' at the ceremony. I think I'm going to puke.' According to reports, Swift managed to fall back asleep only to return to the nightmare and watch as Kelce ascended the Oscars stage to accept a second Academy Award, this time for best original song.
