has launched its much-anticipated
Carens
Clavis-- a new three-row vehicle designed for modern families equipped with multiple powertrains. The automaker claims the model is designed to bridge the gap between MPVs and SUVs.
The new model, which will be available alongside the standard Carens, features Ice Cube MFR LED Headlamps with LED DRLs, and Starmap LED Connected Taillamps. It will be available in various colour options– ivory silver gloss, pewter olive, imperial blue, glacier white pearl, gravity grey, sparkling silver, aurora black pearl and clear white.It also offers six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic, iMT, and seven-speed DCT gearboxes. Customers can choose from seven variants, namely HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+.

Deliveries of the newly launched Kia Carens Clavis have begun. The MPV was introduced in May 2025 as an upper-end variant of the Kia Carens, which is also available for purchase right now. While The Carens comes only in the base Premium variant, the Carens Clavis is offered in seven variants ranging from ₹11.49 lakh to ₹21.50 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The Kia Carens Clavis is available with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol motor generating 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, a 1.5-liter diesel motor with 116 PS and 250 Nm, or a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter petrol motor with 115 PS and 144 Nm. Additionally, an all-new two-spoke steering wheel with the offset Kia badge has been added. This car still retains its three-row configuration, now with a one-touch electric tumble function in the second row for improved access to the third row. Moreover, the second-row seats feature sliding and reclining functionality. The Clavis, features wise, gets an 8-speaker Bose audio system, ambient lighting with 64 colors, a 360-degree camera, a smart key system allowing all of the windows to work, a seat-mounted air-pollution filter with roof vents, a panoramic glass sunroof, ventilated front seats, an electric four-way adjustable driver's seat, and more. The Carens, however, sports a more MPV-inspired look with less angular lines and softer edges. The Clavis rides on bigger 17-inch alloy wheels with an alternative design, with the base Carens receiving 16-inch ones.

Kia India launched Carens Clavis in May 2025 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Carrying forward the Carens badge with a premium appeal, the MPV's top-end variant comes priced at Rs 21.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle comes packed with features and multiple powertrain options. It competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki XL6 in the country. The Kia Carens Clavis MPV features an entirely new design, with the front end showcasing elements such as three-pod LED headlights encased in a triangular layout, V-shaped LED daytime running lights, a blacked-out grille, and black cladding complemented by silver skid plates, contributing to its rugged look. Meanwhile, the overall shape of the vehicle remains consistent, but it now sports a fresh design for the dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, and silver roof rails. The rear end mirrors the design of the previous model but offers a renewed look with an LED light strip. The features list for the Carens Clavis includes a dual-screen setup measuring 22.62 inches, the same configuration seen in the Seltos, comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. Furthermore, the Carens Clavis features ventilated front seats, redesigned AC vents and controls for the automatic climate control, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, four-way power-adjustable seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, among others.
