Glasgow firm created THIS for US superstar Drake
A Glasgow firm provided the turf to create a 'field of dreams' for global music superstar Drake.
SuperStrong Fitness supplied the premium turf that transformed the tennis courts at Oakley Court, a luxury hotel in Windsor, into a temporary football pitch.

Drake and his crew used the pitch to wind down after the end of his three-day residency at London's Wireless Festival.

The temporary pitch was created on request from the contractor managing the afterparty venue, who contacted SuperStrong Fitness to supply 300 square metres of heavy-duty gym turf.
The installation was planned for the end of Drake's Wireless residency, as part of a private post-tour football party for friends, crew, and VIP guests.
However, the day before the £2 million event was nearly thrown into chaos when it was discovered there was not enough turf.

"The contractor was 120 square metres short.
"They needed more turf by lunchtime the next day.
"I was about to board a flight back to Scotland.
"We didn't flinch—I arranged an overnight courier before takeoff, landed in Edinburgh, and drove straight to our warehouse to meet the delivery van."

Despite the setback, the pitch was successfully created, complete with spray-painted pitch markings.

Michael said: "We might never see the footage.
"But knowing our turf gave one of the biggest artists on the planet a chance to relax with mates after a mega show—that's more than enough for us."
SuperStrong Fitness was founded during the 2020 lockdown and has since supplied turf and sled tracks to numerous home gyms, CrossFit boxes, and commercial fitness spaces, including the men's and women's training facilities at Manchester United.

Kendrick Lamar Replaces Drake A At No. 1
It's likely that no matter how much time passes since the end of their public feud, Kendrick Lamar and Drake will always be compared to one another and seen as rivals. The rappers spent part of 2024 trading diss tracks in what turned out to be one of the most high-profile beefs in hip-hop history. Lamar came out on top, thanks largely to his tune "Not Like Us," which didn't just reach No. 1 on the Hot 100, it also earned the rapper both Record and Song of the Year at the Grammys. It's been well over a year since "Not Like Us" seemingly finished the war, but Lamar and Drake are still competing against one another directly on the Billboard charts. Kendrick Lamar Replaces Drake at No. 1 Lamar manages to replace Drake at No. 1 on several Billboard tallies in the United States this week, thanks to his recent collaboration with friend and tourmate SZA. "Luther" returns to the summit on both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs rankings this frame. Last period, the collaboration sat in the runner-up spot on the two consumption-based lists, pushed down by Drake's "What Did I Miss?" The Canadian hip-hop superstar's single begins to decline this frame, making way for "Luther" — one of the most popular tunes in hip-hop of all time, according to the charts — to find its way to the summit once more. Drake's Songs Decline as "Luther" Surges On the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs tally, "What Did I Miss?" drops from No. 1 to No. 3, landing just ahead of Drake's previous smash "Nokia." On the Hot Rap Songs chart, "What Did I Miss?" only steps back one space, while "Nokia" also holds at No. 4 on that ranking. "Luther" Extends Its Historic Reign "Luther" has now ruled both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs rankings for 29 weeks apiece. The tune long ago became the longest-running leader on both tallies, and with every frame it commands the tallies, it adds to its total and Lamar and SZA further their lead over every other hit in the history of those genres.

Keshi's ‘Requiem' tour to bring the singer's honeyed vocals, alt-pop sound to S.F.
Keshi might not have picked up a guitar if it wasn't for the Nickelodeon show 'Drake & Josh.' Now, he's an award-winning musician. The singer, whose real name is Casey Thai Luong, was inspired to start playing music thanks to the sitcom about two teenage musicians. He taught himself how to play guitar using online tutorials and his grandfather's Vietnamese music book and eventually started sharing his self-produced music online. He took on the stage name Keshi, his childhood nickname, and began uploading his mellow R&B tracks to SoundCloud in 2017. It wasn't until 2019 that he quit his day job as a nurse at Texas Medical Center and signed with Island Records. Keshi has since released two studio albums, the most recent of which, 'Requiem,' features his signature honeyed vocals and a mix of introspective tunes and upbeat pop tracks. His 'Requiem' world tour is set to stop at Chase Center; ambient pop artist Roy Blair and R&B singer Starfall join as special guests.
