Aldi to launch Lumberjack sauce range in stores soon
Brothers Brendan and Jayden Manders started out their enterprise from their mum's kitchen with just £100 each and are now fulfilling their mission of "bringing bold flavour to [the] family table".
Two of their sauces will be launched as a Specialbuy in Aldi stores from Sunday, August 17.
The Lumberjaxe Backyard BBQ Sauce and Lumberjaxe Moonshine Mango Sauce will be sold for £3.99 each in 250g containers.
Aldi added: "While Backyard BBQ offers a classically rich, smoky and sticky flavour, Moonshine Mango brings a sweet and fruity taste with a hint of spice.
"Whether being used to marinate or simply to dip, the sauces promise to add a flavour that packs a punch."
Shoppers will need to be quick if they want to get their hands on the sauces though, because as a Specialbuy, once the products are all sold, that will be it.
Lumberjaxe co-founder, Brendan Manders, said: 'Honestly, it's a bit surreal. If someone told us last year we'd be in Aldi stores, we'd have laughed!
"We're just buzzing that even more people can now try our sauces without paying a fortune."
His brother and other Lumberjaxe co-founder, Jayden Manders, added: "Seeing our sauces on Aldi shelves is a 'pinch-me' moment.
"We've poured everything into this range and knowing families are enjoying something that started in our mum's kitchen? That's just incredible!"
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: 'At Aldi, we love to champion growing UK businesses.
"Brendan and Jayden's story is truly inspiring, and the sauces are delicious, so we can't wait to bring this fantastic product to our shoppers — we hope they love it!'

Aldi opens one of its biggest stores in Wales
One of the biggest Aldi stores in Wales has opened its doors. Aldi says it is opening an average of one new supermarket a week for the rest of 2025 as it ramps up its expansion programme. The openings form part of a £650 investment into its store estate this year. This will also see 35 of its supermarkets undergo refurbishments before the end of the year. The expansion push saw the brand open up a new supermarket on Deeside this week, with Team GB diving hero Lois Toulson cutting the ribbon. The Airfields store is 21,000 sq ft and will be run by Store Manager Spencer Kearney, along with a team of 27 staff. Jonathan Neale, Aldi UK managing director of national real estate, said: 'At Aldi, our goal is to make sure people across the UK have access to affordable, high-quality food, and opening new stores is key to making that happen. We're now opening an average of one new store a week for the rest of 2025, showing just how ambitious our plans are to build a store network that will help us reach millions of new customers." Join the North Wales Live Whatsapp community now Store Manager Spencer Kearney said: 'It was lovely to welcome our new customers into store, and I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming weeks. I'm also thrilled that we've been able to support a local primary school through our partnership with Team GB.' Team GB star Lois Toulson said: 'I've had a fantastic time opening the new Aldi this morning. It was an honour to officially open the store and welcome customers inside for the first time." The new Aldi store offers large chillers and freezers dedicated to fresh, Welsh meat products, a 'Food to Go' section at the front of the store, and a section full of health and beauty products. Additionally, the new Aldi store is calling on local charities and food banks in Deeside to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community. Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, seven days a week. Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email aldi@ The new store on Welsh Road open is open 8am to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

'I work at Aldi and there's one task I do that people find super satisfying'
An Aldi employee has revealed what it is really like to work a shift at the beloved bargain supermarket - from discovering new SpecialBuys to packing boxes and stacking shelves. Shoppers insist one part of the job is 'oddly satisfying' An Aldi worker has shared the reality of what it is like to work a busy shift stacking shelves - and some say they find it "oddly satisfying". When shopping in the supermarket it is fun to browse through the aisles and pick out what you need. But it is no easy feat for supermarket employees to get perfectly stacked shelves. From the speedy scanning at tills that Aldi is notorious for, to packing boxes, and discovering what is new in the SpecialBuys aisle, Aldi employee known as Mr Mullac POV online has been sharing videos of his shifts. Shoppers have been loving the insights. Recently, @MrMullacPOV shared on TikTok a video of him neatening up the products on shelves. After a number of customers have been in the store on one day, things can get pretty messy. Because of this, workers are often assigned to conduct 'facing up' - a technique that involves organising the products so shelves appear well stocked and look aesthetically pleasing. The Aldi worker said: "Work an Aldi shift with me - facing up edition." At speed, he can be seen putting items in neat stacks, and getting rid of any carboard boxes which are empty of products. He said he enjoys "making the store look good" and "taking pride in everything you do." "The things I'd do to have a retail job where I do nothing but face ups," commented one. "This is so weirdly satisfying to watch," added another. "This is the most therapeutic thing I've ever watched," commented one other. "If I got this job I wouldn't complain," said one. Another supermarket worker added: "I loved facing up. The most satisfying part of a shift." Another agreed and said: "I loved facing up when I worked in a supermarket as a student. It was strangely satisfying." "So satisfying to watch," agreed one other. While someone else said: "I do this when I go to Aldi, and I am not an employee! annoys me that others customers leave the shelves messy." One Aldi employee wrote: "I do this six days a week! Working in retail will never be boring . Facing up before close is the best part." But others pointed out that it is not as much fun as it seems. One individual said: "I used to work in retail and hated facing up the aisles. Put me on the till any day." Another added: "I used to do this and take so long because I needed it to be perfect." While one more admitted: "I actually do this at my job and its definitely not that satisfying."
