Shakira Concert at Boston's Fenway Park Canceled Just Hours Before Showtime
'Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Shakira and Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn performances originally scheduled for May 29th and May 30th respectively at Fenway Park have been canceled,' the Live Nation statement read. 'Refunds will be available at your point of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience.' Fenway Concerts posted the same statement on social media.

A source close to the situation tells Rolling Stone that structural elements were identified as not being up to standard during a routine preshow check, and the shows were canceled as a result. According to Boston's 7News, the inspectional services department reportedly spotted a safety concern when preparing to sign off on the stage structure. Representatives for Shakira, Aldean, and Brooks & Dunn did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone's request for comment.
Shakira's tour stop was meant to be the first appearance of the 2025 Fenway Concert Series, which runs through September. 'Boston, I'm coming,' the singer wrote on Instagram on the eve of the show. 'I can't ask for more! And can't wait to be on stage with all of you.' The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour will now resume on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
Hozier is next up in the Fenway Concert Series with two nights scheduled for June 23 and 24. The Lumineers, Thomas Rhett, Jonas Brothers, My Chemical Romance, and more are also scheduled to perform this summer.

Amazon MGM Studio's James Bond film names ‘Peaky Blinders' writer
The upcoming James Bond movie now has a writer attached to the project. Steven Knight, who has penned projects like Eastern Promises, Apple TV+'s See, Locke and Netflix's wildly popular Peaky Blinders series, was announced as the script writer on Thursday afternoon. He will join director Denis Villeneuve on the highly-anticipated project. David Heyman and Amy Pascal have signed on to produce the project, the first Bond movie in its new home at Amazon MGM Studios. Amazon acquired MGM in 20212, taking control of the extensive collection of 007 movies. It wasn't until February of 2025, however, that the studio was able to negotiate a deal for the rights to the creative control of the character. There has not been a new James Bond announced yet, but the search is apparently on. That hasn't stopped fans from coming up with their own theories on who could take over the mantle from Daniel Craig. Names like Idris Elba, Damson Idris, Callum Turner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Tom Holland, Jacob Elordi and Harris Dickinson have all been in the online conversation.
