Yuvika Chaudhary backs Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand, says working after becoming a mother isn't easy and actors deserve respect for their experience.
Deepika Padukone's exit from Spirit has stirred a debate surrounding fixed working hours for actors. Several celebrities have been talking about and giving their views on the topic, and now Yuvika Chaudhary, who is also a new mom, has reacted to the ongoing discussion and backed Deepika Padukone on the topic.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla's Hindi Rush, Yuvika opened up about Deepika's demand and shared, 'Ek toh maa banna aasan nahi hai aur maa banne ke baad kaam karna toh bilkul bhi aasan nahi hai. Voh unki definitely demand hogi. Unko kaam se pyaar hai isiliye toh voh kaam kar rahe hai, kaam pe aa rahe hai vapis." (It is not easy to be a mother, and it is not easy at all to work after becoming a mother. That will definitely be her demand. She loves working and that is why she is working; she is coming back to work.)
'Joh aap industry mein itne saalon se kaam kar rahe ho, utni respect toh milna zaroori hai," (She has been working in the industry for so many years, so she deserves that respect) she added while sharing how Deepika's demands are absolutely right.
She further continued and stated that no one should be this ruthless towards a new mother, saying, 'So I think she is right. She should get that time because itna bhi aapko ruthless nahi hona chahiye." (She should get that time and no one should be this ruthless.)
'And I'm sure it's not forever. It's a give and take. When you have done a certain amount of work, I think you should get that respect," Yuvika concluded.
Bollywood's Ongoing Debate Over Work Hours
For the unversed, the debate over work hours in Bollywood started after Deepika Padukone's departure from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film Spirit. Reports claimed that the actress, who recently embraced motherhood, requested to limit her workday to eight hours — a clause that reportedly didn't sit well with the filmmaker.
Several celebrities, including Vikrant Massey, Rashmika Mandanna, Neha Dhupia, Anurag Basu, and others, came out in support of Deepika amid the ongoing discussion.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone is all set to collaborate with Atlee once again after the blockbuster hit Jawan. She is reportedly going to play a pivotal role in Shah Rukh Khan's King. Meanwhile, director Mohit Suri is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Saiyaraa, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.

Bhoomi Trivedi Reinvents 'Saibo' With A Groovy, Bold Spin That's Winning Hearts

Last Updated: Bhoomi Trivedi's new single Saibo is a bold, groovy fusion of traditional charm and contemporary beats. Singer Bhoomi Trivedi, best known for her fearless musicality and striking vocal versatility, is back with a bang. Her latest single, 'Saibo," is not just a song—it's a creative revelation. With its infectious rhythm, eye-catching visuals, and a resounding sense of modern Indian style, Saibo is poised to become a defining track in Bhoomi's ever-evolving discography. Rooted in the meaning of 'beloved," Saibo is a groovy, foot-tapping track that marries lyrical elegance with a pulsing beat, inviting listeners into a world of anticipation and vibrant imagination. With its dynamic production and Bhoomi's powerful voice at the center, the track is a bold blend of tradition and innovation—qualities that have long defined her career. But the story behind Saibo's music video is as intriguing as the song itself. Initially filmed in Jaipur with a more traditional soundscape, Bhoomi had a sudden change of heart—sparked, interestingly, during a playful outing at a game zone with her nephew, Hiyansh. Inspired by the setting's energy and color, she decided to scrap the original shoot and start afresh. The result? A completely reimagined music video shot at two distinct locations, creatively styled to resemble four to five unique sets. The transformation added layers of texture and modernity to the visuals, echoing Bhoomi's desire to push boundaries and give audiences something entirely unexpected. 'Creating Saibo has been an incredibly imaginative journey," Bhoomi shared. 'From a game zone inspiration to reshooting the entire video for a fresh take, every step was about pushing boundaries and bringing something truly unique to my audience. I'm thrilled for everyone to experience the magic we've poured into this song." The new music video is choreographed and directed by Prince Gupta, with vibrant production contributions from DJ Kwid, Gaurav Dhola, and Janki Gahdavi. Every detail—from costume styling to lighting and camera work—reflects a commitment to artistic innovation. Saibo is now streaming on YouTube, and fans are already buzzing about the track's bold sound and stunning visuals. Whether you're a long-time fan of Bhoomi's work or discovering her through this single, Saibo promises to leave a lasting impression—bold, groovy, and unforgettable. view comments First Published: August 04, 2025, 20:17 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Panchayat Actor Sanvikaa Looks Drop-Dead Gorgeous In Saree, Deep-Kohled Eyes

Last Updated: Actor Sanvikaa, known as Rinki from Panchayat, shared stunning saree photos on Instagram, leaving the Internet ablaze. Actor Sanvikaa, fondly known as Rinki from Panchayat by her fans, has dropped a series of photos, looking stunning in sarees. The actor's Instagram profile is a healthy mix of her private life and work diaries. However, it was her pictures in a saree that were 'lowkey" beautiful. Sanvikaa set the Internet ablaze in a white saree with a red border and a tasselled embroidered blouse to complement the simplicity of her six yards. However, it was her makeup that truly stood out; especially her brown eyes. To accentuate it, Sanvikaa opted for deep-kohled smokey eye look with plum lips. Her hair fell into her shoulder like waves while she struck one pose after the other, leaving fans stunned by her new look. 'Desi, dazzling & lowkey dramatic," wrote Sanvikaa while sharing her photos. Take a look: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sanvikaa ( Pooja Singh) (@iamsanvikaa) Taking to the comment box, some responded with GIFs featuring Jitendra Kumar, her Panchayat co-star. Others wrote, 'Rinki ji on fire", 'Always my fav", 'Desi, divine and dangerously gorgeous", 'Simply Elegant", 'Looking very simply pretty", 'Most gorgeous actress", 'This Nazakat has spellbound", 'Beautiful eyes", 'Khoobsurat Rinky jii", and others. During the release of Panchayat 4, Sanvikaa exclusively spoke to News18 Showsha about her camaraderie with Jitendra Kumar, who plays Sachiv ji on the show. Talking about her much-discussed on-screen chemistry with Jitendra, Sanvikaa says it's something they never consciously worked on — and that's what makes it click. 'I think it's a very unsaid chemistry. It's a very give and take equation. We don't even talk much — just basic conversations, like 'how are you doing'. We don't rehearse too much, just align on set before a scene, and if something feels off during a take, we adjust then and there. It's very organic, not prepared. For me, it just feels naturally okay," she told us. She also praised Jitendra as a co-star who made her feel at ease on set despite her being relatively new. 'He's amazing. Very supportive. He never made me feel I was working for the first time or that he has done so much work already. He never dominated, treated me with a lot of respect, and created a calm, supportive environment for me to perform. That's why our understanding shows on screen," she added. Next, Sanvikaa is gearing up for the shoot of Panchayat 5. First Published: August 04, 2025, 20:11 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
