Cheapest places for pints in the UK revealed – with some pubs serving £2 beer
However, new research has crowned the Welsh city of Wrexham as the cheapest place in the UK for beer, averaging at just £2.

The study was conducted by to Alliance Online, who looked at the prices of a pint of beer across cities and towns in the UK.
Bury in Greater Manchester was found to be the cheapest town in England for a beer at £2.75.
And what's more, is that within an hour of Bury, there are also two more spots - Bolton and Blackpool - where a beer averages between £2.75 and £3.25.
If you want something to line your stomach, then Bury is even dubbed the 'home of the black pudding'.
The market town also sits on the River Irwell which many use for pleasure cruising, rowing, racing, swimming and fishing.
There is also the East Lancashire Railway, where visitors can climb aboard one of the heritage steam trains or diesels trains.
One of the places to grab a pint is called The Marketside Tavern.
One recent visited said in a review: "A lovely little bar/pub with great atmosphere and a fantastic choice in beers, ciders and spirits.
"A definite stop for anyone who likes a good tipple."
Alternatively, you could to The Two Tubs .
One recent visitor described: "Very old historic pub. Lovely surroundings.
"A range of board games and books available to borrow while you visit. Well stocked bar.
"Lots of places to sit a couple of fire places, sofa, different seating available.
"Believe this place is more a pub in the day and a night spot late evenings and weekends."
Other cheap spots that came up include Bolton and Blackpool - both within a short drive of Bury.
Blackpool is known for being a popular seaside destination and as one of the cheapest locations for a pint, it is a great spot for a family staycation with popular attractions including Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Blackpool is also home to The Talbot - the nation's first Reform UK pub.
In Bolton, on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful Toby Carvery's in the country in a building from the 18th century.
Also known as the Watermillock, the building was originally constructed as a Gentleman's Country House before becoming a WWI hospital and children's hostel.
Then, in 2020, it underwent renovation with new carpets and lighting as well as restoring some of the external decor.
In Scotland, Kilmarnock is the cheapest place for a beer at £3.25 a pint.
The town has over 30 pubs and bars all in close proximity to the centre, so Scots might call this a drinker's paradise.

AN ENGLISH railway station has revealed a £10 million upgrade and new city train routes after finally reopening. After lengthy delays leaving rail users frustrated, the impressive new facilities have now opened at the station in Merseyside. 2 2 Northern, which runs Lea Green Station, opened the new facilities on Monday morning two years after work was due to wrap on the project. Located just a few miles from St Helens, a town in Merseyside, the huge £10million renovation has improved several parts of the station in addition to a a new multi-storey car park. The decision was made because the cliff access path has eroded, becoming unstable with steep drops and a difficult final descent to the beach. The National Trust also cited dangerous rip currents at the beach, which have led to frequent emergency service incidents.
