Angela Simmons Confirms Yo Gotti Breakup: 'I Had To Make A Decision'

Yahoo24-06-2025
Following weeks of speculation, Angela Simmons has confirmed her split from Memphis rapper Yo Gotti.
Simmons, 37, confirmed the rumors during a sit-down on Angie Martinez's IRL podcast, where the legendary radio host asked, 'Are you telling me right now you're in your single girl era again?'
'Not by choice, but you know, I respect him,' Simmons replied, confusing Martinez, who followed up by asking who broke up with whom.
'This man proclaimed that he wanted to get with Angela Simmons,' Martinez said regarding Gotti announcing his crush on Simmons in 2016 hit 'Down In The DM.'
'This man, like, pursued you, so you're not telling me that he ended it, did he end the relationship?'
'No, it was my choice, you know, I just, I had to make a decision,' she replied before sharing that she isn't comfortable revealing further details just yet. 'Some stuff is better left unsaid.'
'Again, much love and respect to him, he's doing his thing, I'm happy for him.' Check out the full interview above.
Days after rumors began to swirl regarding a split, Simmons took to her social media with hints that the pair had called it quits.
'I want what wants me in life. In all areas. What flows FLOWS. What goes GOES,' wrote the fitness enthusiast on her Instagram Stories back in May. Followers took this to mean the pair had gone their separate ways, aided by Simmons choosing Chris Brown and Usher collab 'New Flame' to score the next slide.
Simmons and Gotti began dating in 2022, going public with their romance on New Year's Day, 2023.

Kelly Clarkson Fans Shocked By Singer Canceling Vegas Residency Over Ex-Husband's Illness After Divorce Drama

Kelly Clarkson has postponed her Las Vegas residency to support her children amid their father's health crisis, emphasizing her need to be present for them. While many fans praised her decision, others expressed frustration over the short notice and concerns about a refund. Several also highlighted her divorce struggles with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Kelly Clarkson also recently opened up about the emotional challenges of co-parenting post-divorce, highlighting societal double standards in parenting expectations. Kelly Clarkson Puts Family First: Postpones Vegas Residency Clarkson has announced the unexpected pause of her Las Vegas residency, sharing an emotional update that has touched fans worldwide. On Thursday morning, the 43-year-old singer took to Instagram Stories to reveal that she's postponing the remaining August dates of her "Studio Sessions" at Caesars Palace. The decision, she explained, comes from a deeply personal place. In a statement, the "Stronger" singer shared, "Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas. While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them." Though the news is undoubtedly disappointing for fans who were looking forward to her performances, Clarkson expressed her heartfelt gratitude and apologized for the sudden change of plans. "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I appreciate your grace, kindness, and understanding," she added. Fans React To The Singer's Residency Postponement With Mixed Comments In the wake of Clarkson's announcement that she would postpone her Las Vegas shows, fans took to social media to share their thoughts. On X (formerly Twitter), many loyal fans stood firmly behind the singer's decision to prioritize her family. "You and your family come first, and true fans will understand," one supporter wrote. Another added, "Kelly, take all the time you need, darling, we're sending you lots of love and support and plenty of hugs. Family comes first. We love you, darling." Clarkson also got praised for seemingly supporting her ex-husband, Blackstock, despite the issues surrounding their divorce. One person said, "You're a saint bc how?? After all he did to you?? Girl, teach me." Another noted, "Because her kids are still his kids, and you have to put that aside for them! They still need their dad, regardless of what he put her through." However, not all responses were kind, as some voiced frustration about the rescheduled dates and refund policies. "What a joke to reschedule," one critic wrote. "At least cancel and issue refunds. Most people won't know if they're going to be able to attend 12 months from now. And what happens if you 'postpone' again this time next year? We're just supposed to live without our money forever?" Kelly Clarkson Pulled The Plug On Her Vegas Opener Just Minutes Before Showtime In a surprise move back in July, Clarkson canceled what was supposed to be the grand kickoff of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency just over an hour before stepping on stage. The show, "Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency," had been promoted as an intimate, behind-the-scenes musical experience, promising to bring fans closer to the magic of her studio work. But with only 90 minutes to go, fans were stunned by a sudden announcement: the first two shows at Caesars Palace were officially postponed. Taking to Instagram, the "Just Sing" singer opened up about the difficult decision. "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans," she wrote. "I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me, and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars." The Singer Said Rehearsals For The Show Put A Strain On Her Voice In her statement, Clarkson revealed that intense "prep and rehearsals" had strained her voice, and that she wanted "the shows to be perfect for y'all." She added, "I need to protect myself from doing serious damage, so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve." Despite the disappointment, Kelly reassured fans that the show was something worth waiting for: "The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong." "I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on," she concluded. Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Co-Parenting Challenges After Divorce Clarkson shares two children, daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Earlier this year, Clarkson offered a rare glimpse into her post-divorce parenting experience. During a March episode of Kylie Kelce's podcast "Not Gonna Lie," the singer reflected on the quiet emotional struggles of co-parenting. She subtly addressed an imbalance she's observed in her children's expectations of her versus their father. While discussing how kids react to their parents' busy schedules, Clarkson agreed with Kelce's point that children tend to be more understanding when fathers are unavailable. "Isn't it funny, though, how different it is? Even from a young age, we didn't teach them, just innately you're like... he's allowed to be somewhere, but you're not? That is like real interesting. Yeah, there's a lot that I keep in," Clarkson shared. Blackstock and Clarkson tied the knot in 2013 but separated in 2020, with their divorce finalized in 2022. Solve the daily Crossword

While at the NBA Summer League last month, Bronny told ESPN that he spent the past year working to overcome lingering effects from his heart condition. Bronny went into cardiac arrest two years ago due to a congenital heart defect and underwent surgery that left a six-inch scar down the center of his chest before his freshman year at USC. 5 Bronny James #9 of the Los Angeles Lakers dribbles the ball during the game against the Boston Celtics during the 2025 NBA Summer League game on July 17, 2025 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Redick added that Bronny needs to prioritize getting stronger in order to progress to the next level. In 27 NBA appearances in his rookie season, the guard averaged 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists on 31.3 percent shooting from the field and 28.1 percent from three-point range. James was back and forth from the NBA Lakers to the South Bay Lakers in the G League, where he averaged 21.9 points, 44.3 percent shooting and 38 percent from beyond the arc.
