After Couple's Viral Reaction at Being Caught on Camera, Chris Martin Jokes They May Be 'Having an Affair'
The incident occurred at the band's concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., where they performed on both Tuesday, July 15, and Wednesday, July 16.
In one viral clip shared to TikTok, a camera pans over to where the man and woman can be seen wrapped in each other's arms.
The woman quickly turns her back to the camera to hide her face, while the man ducks out of sight.
"Oh, look at these two,' Coldplay's Chris Martin says to the crowd as the couple hides. 'All right, c'mon, you're okay.'
Martin then adds, apparently befuddled, 'Oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.'

Summer's shadiest toxic dating trend is rather gross: Here's how to know if it's happening to you.
People can be really terrible. Summer is here, and that means romance is heating up. At least for some people, because for others – matters of the heart are getting rather, well, shady. The latest toxic dating trend taking over the steamy season is summer shading, and it's the opposite of hot. It's actually very, very cold. Summer shading is, quite literally, when someone decides to "cool off" their relationship for the summer to free themselves up for flings, travel, whatever they want while staying commitment free. It's not exactly the same as breaking up with someone, or even ghosting them, but rather putting a relationship on pause – and sometimes it's happened before you even realize it. They stop making plans. "There's always something in the way of being able to see you right away or during a reasonable time frame," said Hily Dating App expert Julie Nguyen. Maybe they claim their friends are visiting, they are traveling out of the country, family stuff is happening, or work is really busy. "You don't feel like you're the priority. It begins to feel like you're an afterthought, someone they think about if they don't have anything else going on. You feel like you're sidelined for funner, more sparkly plans that don't do anything to center your relationship," said Nguyen. They're still quite social. It's not as if they are staying home eating ice cream and binging Netflix. "They're full of energy, running around town, and having a lot of fun," said Nguyen. This may mean you're hearing about them out and about at parties and traveling, and maybe even seeing other people. "You hear about the fun adventures they're going on, the vacations they're seeing, and the people they're seeing. You're just not one of them. When you reach out to hang out, they seem like they have time for everything besides you," said Nguyen. You don't feel chosen. Everything is open-ended. As in their plans and how they feel about you. "They push things off until you're unsure when you're going to see them next. Everything feels vague as plans push off and conversations take days in between to respond. Making any plans or talking about the relationship becomes uncertain," said Nguyen. You feel like they're avoiding you more or you're being downright ghosted. Things feel increasingly distant and uncertain. "Maybe they drop a few breadcrumbs they want to hang out again in a few weeks to keep you hanging on. You feel enough to keep hoping and hanging onto what you remember of the relationship, but you don't feel secure. It feels like you're stuck in emotional limbo," said Nguyen. George Lucas, father of 'Star Wars,' to head panel at San Diego Comic-Con
George Lucas, the mastermind behind "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" will make his first ever San Diego Comic-Con appearance this summer. Lucas will sit on a panel alongside director Guillermo del Toro and artist Doug Chiang at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday, July 27. The trio will discuss illustrated storytelling and offer a sneak peek of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, according to the San Diego Comic-Con website. The panel will be moderated by musician and actress Queen Latifah. David Glanzer, San Diego Comic-Con chief communications and strategy officer, said the convention is thrilled to host Lucas this month. "Nearly five decades ago, 'Star Wars' made one of its earliest public appearances at our convention, along with a booth featuring Howard Chaykin's now legendary 'Star Wars' poster as a promotional item," Glanzer said in a news release. "Now, to have Mr. Lucas return – this time to debut the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art – is a true full-circle moment. His lifelong dedication to visual storytelling and world-building resonates deeply with us and our community, and the museum's mission to celebrate narrative art in all its forms perfectly reflects what Comic-Con has championed from the very beginning." "Star Wars" made its San Diego Comic-Con debut in 1976, when comic book artists Roy Thomas and Howard Chaykin sports shaggy hair and bell bottoms, told a less-than-packed crowd about the new movie. The panel was the second to last event of the entire convention. Roy Thomas and Howard Chakin tell a less than packed audience about a film called Star Wars at @Comic_Con in 1976. #ThrowbackThursday #SDCC — Star Wars (@starwars) July 20, 2017 When will George Lucas be at San Diego Comic-Con? The filmmaker will appear on the "Sneak Peek: Lucas Museum of Narrative Art" panel between 11 a.m. and noon PT on Sunday, July 27. Who can attend George Lucas' panel at San Diego Comic-Con? San Diego Comic-Con badge-holders may attend any panel at the convention. Badges for this year's convention are sold out. Will fans be able to meet George Lucas at San Diego Comic-Con? San Diego Comic-Con, unlike other comic conventions, does not host meet-and-greet experiences. The convention does not have any scheduled events for Lucas to meet one-on-one with attendees. Can you watch George Lucas' panel at home? San Diego Comic-Con does not livestream its panels, but audience members may share photos and videos during and after the panel. Fans hope for something bigger The San Diego Comic-Con website states that the panel will discuss illustrative storytelling and the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, but "Star Wars" superfans are hoping Lucas' appearance may be part of a bigger announcement. "He's gotta be dropping some huge news! Surely," one TikTok user commented on Dino Joe Reviews' video outlining the panel. "Apparently he's there to talk about his museum that's open, which is super cool, but there's gotta be more than that, right? Maybe we're finally getting our Midi-chlorian movie," TikTok user I Am Jessica says with a laugh in a video. In "Star Wars," midi-chlorians are microscopic lifeforms that reside in the cells of all living life forms, according to "Star Wars" blog Wookieepedia. The Force speaks through midi-chlorians and those with more midi-chlorians are able to better tap into The Force. Anakin Skywalker possessed the highest known count of midi-chlorians, even surpassing Yoda. "Imagine being in the same room as this guy as he discusses about the future of 'Star Wars.' Oh my gosh, that's like a once in a lifetime thing, I think," TikTok user Fry4guy said in a video. What is the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art? Expected to open in 2026, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art was co-founded by Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson. The 300,000-square-foot, spaceship-like museum will sit on 11 acres in Los Angeles's Exposition Park. The five-story museum, designed by Ma Yansong, will feature galleries, two movie theaters and spaces for educational programming, retail, dining and events. Ground was broken on the museum in March 2018. Greta Cross is a national trending reporter at USA TODAY. Story idea? David Corenswet Chooses STAR WARS Over SUPERMAN 2 While Taking a Lie Detector Test — GeekTyrant
David Corenswet might be the new face of Superman in James Gunn's DCU, but if the Force called, he'd be ready to trade in the cape for a lightsaber. During a Vanity Fair lie detector test interview with his Superman co-star Nicholas Hoult, Corenswet was put on the spot with a tough choice: Would he rather play Superman again in a sequel… or take on the role of a Jedi Knight in Star Wars? He didn't hesitate for long. With a deep breath and a sheepish grin, Corenswet chose Jedi Knight. Hoult's reaction? Pure shock. But before the DC fandom gets too worked up, Corenswet made it clear that he's still locked in as the Man of Steel for future films. 'In the end, as many things do, it came down to the money. I'm already under contract for a sequel, but I'd be fresh negotiating with Star Wars,' he joked. That's not the only time Corenswet's Star Wars fandom has shown through. He's been openly enthusiastic about the galaxy far, far away during the Superman press tour, even revealing a personal tradition: 'I just started a Star Wars marathon every New Year's Eve,' he said in the same interview. So while a Superman 2 is likely already in the cards, and in his contract, it's clear Corenswet has a deep affection for both iconic franchises. Can you blame him? He's living every geek's dream right now!
