Dessert 'Chips and Salsa' Recipe Is TikTok's New Viral Food Trend
Dessert 'chips and salsa' are the new TikTok food craze right now.
The unique food combination is made simply by scooping chopped strawberries onto triangle slices of chocolate, imitating the action of gathering salsa onto a chip.
To make the "chips," melt almond bark or chocolate chips and spread onto a sheet pan before freezing and cutting into chip-like pieces. Simply chop a container's worth of strawberries into salsa-like pieces to cultivate the sweet "dip."

The easy trade-in of strawberries for salsa and chocolate for chips has sent users scrambling to try it out, as multiple TikTokers have taken to posting about their pleasant experiences with the sweet twist on the traditional snack.
In one TikTok posted by a user focused on Midwest lifestyle content, a screen of text reads ''Chips and salsa' taken to a whole new level. If I never learn anything else from TikTok after this I won't be mad."
Behind the text, the user is seen scooping a piece of the chocolate into a bowl of cut up strawberries.
Tostitos, a popular chip brand commonly used in the 'traditional' chips and salsa combination, joined in on the fun by commenting 'I'm upset 🙁."
In contrast, Nestle Toll House, known for their chocolate chips, dropped the comment 'time to shine🥰.'
Other users are using the trend as an on-theme Valentine's Day sweet, sharing their dessert salsa snacks set up amongst V-Day spreads and placed over a TikTok sound that says, "This is my meal, I call it girl dinner."

World's Biggest TikTok Star Detained by US Immigration
World's Biggest TikTok Star Detained by US Immigration originally appeared on Parade. Italian-Senegalese influencer Khaby Lame was detained at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Friday. Lame, whose full name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after overstaying his visa. An ICE spokesperson confirmed to USA Today on Sunday that Lame, who is an Italian citizen, was granted voluntary departure and has left the U.S. The ICE statement explained, "Lame entered the United States April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa. Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the US." Initially, there was confusion about Lame's detention because he was not listed in the ICE arrest database after conservative activist and Barron Trump's best friend, Bo Louden, claimed to be behind Lame's arrest. The mega viral TikTok star, who boasts the highest following on the social media platform, attended the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5, during his time in the U.S. This year's theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" and explored Black dandyism's impact on fashion. Lame nailed the theme in a grey pinstripe three-piece suit by BOSS, black and white spectator wingtips, and a dramatic wide-brimmed hat that pulled the whole outfit together. Since being allowed to leave the country, Lame has not addressed the ICE detainment but has posted new content to TikTok, where he has more than 162 million followers, and to his Instagram Stories. Lame's detainment comes on the heels of President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, which has resulted in violent and chaotic protests across the country, with the president deploying the National Guard to California to quell unrest. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 World's Biggest TikTok Star Detained by US Immigration first appeared on Parade on Jun 9, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 9, 2025, where it first appeared.

Most-followed TikTok star Khaby Lame detained by ICE, leaves US voluntarily
TikTok megastar Khaby Lame has left the United States after being detained by federal immigration. 'U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations,' an ICE representative told People. Lame, who holds the record as the most followed on TikTok with over 160 million followers on the platform, was asked to leave the U.S. because he 'overstayed the terms of his visa.' The 25-year-old content creator was stopped by ICE at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and granted voluntary departure once he was detained. The social media star was born in Senegal and was moved to Italy when he was a baby. He was granted Italian citizenship in August 2022. Lame rose to fame when he started sharing silent comedic videos on TikTok during the pandemic after he was laid off from his job. 'Before TikTok, I was working in a factory. I had a lot of different jobs,' he told People after being named one of their Creators of the Year. 'I was helping support my family — three little brothers, one older brother and my parents. Then my world changed completely. It's a whole different life now.' In May of 2025, Lame was seen at the Met Gala celebrating the theme of Black Dandyism in a grey and cream suit. The detainment comes amid Trump's immigration crackdown. ICE has launched raids all over the country, enforcing the president's mass deportation campaign promise in workplaces, schools, airports and college campuses. As for Lame, he has been active on social media since the detainment and hasn't spoken publicly about what happened. ____________

MrBeast Bought Out Disneyland for $500K Date Night in Empty Park
MrBeast rented out Disneyland for a $500k private date night, he shared in a new video The video creator, his fiancée and a group of friends enjoyed a night of the park all to themselves The date included a special dinner in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle and a private paradeMrBeast is pulling out all the stops — and a huge wad of cash — for a one-of-a-kind date night. The content creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, spent weeks planning dates for his fiancée Thea Booysen and himself in a recent video shared on YouTube. After the pair went on a number of romantic excursions — costing anywhere from $1 to $100k — the couple headed to the grand finale: a $500k private night at Disneyland. "Disney won't just hand over their keys to anyone, but for this once-in-a-lifetime date, we were given the entire park for one night," MrBeast said in the video's voiceover. The fiancés generously included a few other folks in their date, including "the boys," some friends they met on their private island date (which cost $100k), and Madison Beer. The group first wandered Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, where they hopped on a ride, relishing in the fact that there was no line, then built their own lightsabers, an activity that typically books out far in advance. Next up, Disneyland's giant Ferris wheel! Coincidentally, the cheapest date Donaldson and Booysen went on was also a Ferris wheel at a small park — a detail MrBeast called "full-circle." After a round of games, the group secured multiple stuffed animal prizes. Rounding out the night, they enjoyed a dinner at a flower-lined table in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. "Alright, I don't know why Disney's going all-out for us, but thank you guys!" MrBeast gushed as his friends marveled at the sight. Glass raised, he added, "Cheers to the greatest date in history!" But that wasn't quite the end of the night, MrBeast admitted as he led the group to one last surprise: a private Disney parade, complete with beloved characters, twinkling lights and stunning floats. The date was "truly once in a lifetime," the content creator reflected. The video comes days after he revealed he is asking his mom to help pay for his wedding. Despite being worth an estimated $1 billion per Celebrity Net Worth, he claims he has "very little money" and needs his family's support to fund his upcoming nuptials. Responding to a post on X which described MrBeast as "the only billionaire under 30 to have not inherited his wealth,' the YouTuber with more than 400 million subscribers wrote, 'I personally have very little money because I reinvest everything (I think this year we'll spend around a quarter of a billion on content)." "Ironically i'm actually borrowing $ from my mom to pay for my upcoming wedding lol," he continued, adding, "But sure, on paper the businesses I own are worth a lot." In addition to posting videos across several platforms, often featuring outrageous stunts and big-ticket giveaways, he also hosts the reality competition series Beast Games, which awarded its first season winner a record-breaking $10 million in prize money.
