Kim Woodburn's family hit back at former co-star following 'hurtful' remarks
Kim Woodburn's family has responded to co-presenter Aggie MacKenzie's comments she made in the wake of her former co-star's death.
The 'How Clean is your House' icon passed away earlier this week following a short illness at the age of 83.
The TV legend sparked concern among fans earlier in the year after her management team confirmed she would be taking a step back from work duties after she was rushed to the hospital. Following the shock announcement, the 69-year-old paid tribute to her Channel 4 co-star, while also using the moment to shed light on their strained relationship.
Aggie referred to her co-star as a 'tormented soul' following their lengthy feud and also accused her of 'pushing her to the ground.'
Writing in 'The Sun' following Kim's passing, Aggie said: 'There were days filming together that felt like walking a tightrope. The How Clean Is Your House? icon passed away earlier this week following a short illness at the age of 83. Pic: REX/Shutterstock
'And by the later series, I'll be honest – our relationship had almost completely broken down. We barely spoke off camera.'
In another interview with The Mirror, Aggie also discussed the exact moment their friendship hit its final bump in the road.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred while they were performing as the Ugly Sisters in a 2008 pantomime, with Aggie explaining: 'Kim missed her cue so I tapped her on the shoulder. We went on and did our scene, but when we came out at the other side, Kim was furious. She pushed me. She actually pushed me so hard that I fell over.' 'I lost it then. I really really lost it with her. I was so furious because I wasn't expecting to be pushed over like that.'
Kim then reportedly ran off to her dressing room 'crying her eyes out,' refusing to go back on stage.
Now speaking out following the remarks, a close friend of Kim's husband Peter told The Sun: 'Peter is very hurt and upset that Aggie has used Kim's death as an opportunity to put herself back out there in public domain.
'A lot of things that Aggie has said are untrue'. 'Recollections may vary,' he added.
'Kim was asked in interviews many times about Aggie, but kept a dignified silence, out of respect for the great work they did together.
'Kim's friends and family find it upsetting that she couldn't do the same since Kim's passing.'

BBC Breakfast likened to ‘the Hunger Games' amid toxicity claims and Naga Munchetty bullying row
THE Sun's exposé on toxic BBC Breakfast has ripped a chasm through the show — with staff likening the workplace to Hunger Games. Staff are terrified about what is going to come out in case they are caught in the crossfire. A source said: 'Breakfast is no longer just divided, it's been ripped apart. "Some workers back Frediani's tougher, more traditional journalistic approach and think the 'softies' need thicker skin. READ MORE ON BREAKFAST FEUD 'Others find him to be a bully and have welcomed the investigation into his behaviour. That already created two camps on the show. But the revelations about Naga have thrown a new twist on the scandal. 'Some find her a passionate advocate of people behind the scenes, while others find her as difficult as Fredi. 'This explosive mix has led to a deluge of revelations from both sides, creating a huge headache for the BBC as it scrambles to mop up the mess. It's everyone for themselves like the Hunger Games.' Naga arrived for work promptly yesterday despite our front page on two complaints lodged against her for bullying and Most read in News TV Viewers noticed BBC star Naga Munchetty hauled in by bosses over allegations she BULLIED a junior staffer and 'made an off-air sex jibe' Naga, who has also worked across Radio 5 Live, was hauled before bosses for the incidents in 2022 and 2024 and reprimanded but no formal action was taken. Her supporters believe she is at the 'end of her tether' with the fractious working environment. They add: 'Naga finds the whole situation frustrating, particularly with Fredi. 'She is passionate about speaking up if she believes something is wrong, has spoken to people who are unhappy and is always trying to help others behind the scenes.' However, another insider has shared opinion that Frediani's tough leadership may be a response to Naga's behaviour, not the cause of the problem. The source said: 'Managing Naga is a full-time job. She makes it incredibly hard to do the job and when Fredi tries to enforce boundaries and run a tight ship, he gets accused of being draconian. 'People are too scared to challenge her, because of who she is.' Among the divide are those who are just trying to uphold the BBC's standards on the show. A separate source said: 'The fact remains that bad behaviour is bad behaviour and no one — be it bosses, talent, crew — should be above reproach.' BBC said: 'While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.' Meg ‘is copying celebs AGAIN & they won't be happy – she'll get in trouble if she doesn't do something original'
MEGHAN Markle has been accused of copying celebrities again with her new wine. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has added Rosé wine to her range of As ever products - which is her first alcoholic beverage. 5 Meghan Markle is launching a new brand of rosé wine Credit: Arthur Edwards / The Sun 5 The wine is part of her As Ever brand Credit: As Ever 5 Hugo Vickers has slammed the launch Credit: Alamy Hugo Vickers is a royal expert, known for his books on the The expert kicked out against Meghan's new drink which is part of her brand As Ever, which includes her jam range. However, Hugo issued an urgent warning to the Duchess, advising her to make sure that her rosé is different enough to the slew of celebrity alcohol brands which have been released in recent years. Hugo said: 'And that's where you've got to be jolly careful. Read More on Meghan Markle 'Because if you start just sort of taking other people's products and putting your name on it - I'm not saying that she's absolutely exactly done that - if you do something even by accident, then you're going to get into trouble. 'Because people who are less successful, who are selling them or the same thing and seeing them going out under her name, they won't like that definitely.' He added: 'If you like rosé wine, you'll probably find that you've got a particular one that you like, and I must admit I wouldn't be tempted to go for hers. 'I don't know what hers is, how hers is going to be so different from anybody else's. Most read in Royals 'It's probably going to be more expensive because it has a sort of brand on it.' He also claimed that much of her popularity can be attributed to her famous husband. Hugo said: 'Prince Harry gives it a kind of a soap opera element which would otherwise be lacking, because, as you say, there are numerous other celebrities launching products, and you know you see them here and there, and you may be interested in them. Meghan's kids will be SO angry when they grow up & realise how they were used by her 'You may like the star who's put their name to it, and you might buy it for that reason.' The expert added that He said: 'I don't think it's going to concern him very much. 'I think he's probably much more interested in getting to Ascot and seeing whether one of his horses does well.' She also went viral for her remark that every 'failure' is actually a 'success'. However, Hugo slammed the comment - saying: 'She must have been doing an awful lot of winning recently, because quite a lot of the things that she's done have not been wildly successful.' He added: 'I think you do better actually by winning than failing.' Hugo also had a great tip for readers who are in the market for a new rosé. He said: 'Buy the palest kind of rosés that you can find, and those do tend to be rather more expensive, and don't buy the ones that look like syrup, because they're horrible. 'But there is a huge different range of rosés, so I don't entirely blame her for having a go at that one especially. 'Listen, we're talking on probably The Sun has approached Meghan and Harry's representatives for comment. The 2023 pink booze from Napa Valley, California, will be sold via her As ever website from July 1. It has been announced alongside two new spreads now available including a Limited-Edition Orange Blossom Honey for $28 (£20). And she has also restocked six of the original products including $15 flower sprinkles. But there is no new raspberry spread available after Meg admitted she may never restock the infamous jam spread. 'COPYCAT' BEHAVIOUR It comes after Pamela Anderson fans accused Meghan of "copying" her Cooking With Love show with her own Netflix cookery programme With Love Meghan - released last month. And in February, the mayoress of Porres in Majorca complained the logo for the Duchess' lifestyle brand, As Ever, resembled her town's historic coat of arms. The town's mayor, Francisca Mora Veny, was considering taking legal action against the royal and has asked Meghan to remove the logo. Ms Mora told The Sun: 'We don't want our coat of arms to be perverted because it belongs exclusively to Porreres. 'The only difference with their logo and our coat of arms is that theirs shows two hummingbirds and in ours are either swallows or pigeons — historians cannot agree. "We will ask Meghan to remove the logo from their website.' Even before Meghan became a member of the British Royal Family, she appeared to be looking to others for inspiration. In her speech for International Women's Day at the UN in 2015, she was accused of lifting whole chunks from one delivered by former First Lady of the United States Eleanor Roosevelt.
