Grace Van Patten and Jackson White's Relationship Timeline
We still don't have an official release date for Tell Me Lies season 3 (sorry!), but I can tell you this: the show's stars, Grace Van Patten and Jackson White, are still thriving IRL. Based on Carola Lovering's novel of the same name, the Hulu series follows the twisty, toxic love story between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco—which is, thankfully, nothing like the very sweet, very real love that has blossomed between Grace and Jackson. Since hard-launching their relationship on Instagram soon after the premiere of season one, the two actors have kept their romance pretty private, in fact, that you may not have even realized they were dating. However! During a recent interview with Elle, Grace confirmed that she and her 'real-life boyfriend' Jackson are still going strong. Let's take a moment to review their cute showmance from the beginning, shall we? Tell Me Lies premieres on Hulu, and it isn't long before dating rumors start circulating about the two leads. Tbh, Grace and Jackson don't do much to dispel the rumors. During an episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Jackson teases the possibility of an off-screen romance, confessing that he has 'a huge crush' on his costar. 'All I'm saying is that I'm obsessed with her because she's fucking amazing,' he gushes. He goes on to add, 'She is the fucking coolest, most grounded, amazing person IRL that you'll ever meet.' Grace, for her part, plays it a lil more coy. When asked by Entertainment Tonight about her real-life relationship with Jackson, she says, 'Fans should just leave it up for mystery, keep it fun. Who knows?' Grace and Jackson show up at the CFDA Fashion Awards looking veeeeery coupley: And in case there is any lingering doubt about where they stand, Jackson shares photo booth pics from the event on his Instagram Story, with an emoji strategically placed over what looks like a photo of them kissing: The next day, Jackson posts a cheeky photo of himself and Grace touching tongues to his grid with the caption, 'if we kiss can we get a s2 @hulu.' Side note: Grace posted the same pic on her own IG that same day, captioning it, '…just in the lick of time.' Love a coordinated hard-launch. The two hit up the Vanity Fair Oscar Party together looking chic as hell. Jackson drops this cute selfie on IG, along with a video of Grace in a go-kart. The caption: 'Florida couple steals go cart trophy from 9 year old birthday boy.' The couple is spotted at Paris Fashion Week and gets snapped at the Hermès show. Actor Katey Sagal (who, fun fact, is Jackson's mom both on the show and in real life) appears on the Broad Ideas podcast and reveals that Grace and Jackson have been dating 'since the audition'—which is way longer than people thought! According to her: 'They have been [dating] for two years.' In-ter-est-ing! During an interview with Only Natural Diamonds, Grace provides rare insight into her relationship with Jackson, talking about how well they work together both onscreen and off. 'I love working with him not just because he's my boyfriend but because he's so talented and giving and present,' she says. Not long after, she and Jackson are spotted at the US Open looking v cute and in love. Ahead of the season 2 premiere of Tell Me Lies, Grace admits to People how 'trippy' it is to work with Jackson 'because we are together in real life, and he knows me better than anyone.' She also makes it clear that she and Jackson are *very* different IRL than their onscreen counterparts. 'We're wildly different,' she says, 'thank goodness.' During an interview with Elle, Grace talks about filming season 3 with her 'real-life boyfriend,' noting, 'With us, there's no block; it's just full taking each other in, because that's what we're used to.' Oh, and she also reveals that she and Jackson started dating before he even officially landed the role of Stephen. 'We didn't know what was going to be more complicated—if he did get the part or if he didn't—but we didn't care,' she explains. 'We just couldn't help it.' Season 3 can't get here soon enough!!

Orlando Bloom Says This Needs to Happen for a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Revival
Orlando Bloom Says This Needs to Happen for a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Revival originally appeared on Parade. Ever since Johnny Depp declared he wouldn't return to Disney "for $300 million and a million alpacas" during his 2022 defamation trial, Pirates of the Caribbean fans have been wondering if their beloved franchise would ever sail again. While speaking at Fan Expo Chicago on Saturday, August 16, Orlando Bloom revealed his crystal-clear vision for bringing the blockbuster saga back to life. And according to the 48-year-old English actor who charmed audiences as Will Turner across four films, success hinges on two non-negotiables. "Everything is in the writing, right? Everything is on the page, and I think there's definitely, I'm sure there's a way to create something," Bloom told the crowd at the convention, Entertainment Weeklyreports. The event also featured an epic Star Wars reunion between Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. Bloom believes the real magic happens when you reunite the original crew. "I would personally love to see everybody back. I think the way to win on that one is to get everybody back… if they can,' he explained. "I would personally love to see everybody back. I think the way to win on that one is to get everybody back. If they can, and if everybody wanted to go back."- Orlando Bloom recently talked about a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Source: — best of johnny depp (@johnnydeppfiles) August 19, 2025 The Lord of the Rings icon doubled down on his all-or-nothing approach: "My thing is, if the script was great and, ideally it was everybody, it'd be kind of like in for a penny, in for a pound, you know." 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Bloom's vision creates an interesting tension with Disney's current strategy. The studio appears to be leaning toward a reboot approach rather than wrestling with the complications of reuniting the original cast. "What they're how to do it. Do you bring in a female leading character that replicates Jack in some way? I don't know," Bloom said, adding that the jury is still out on how to revive the franchise, but if the script was great, he'd be on board. The franchise hit turbulent waters in 2018 when Disney moved forward without Depp following domestic abuse allegations from ex-wife Amber Heard. 'We want to bring in a new energy and vitality,' Sean Bailey (then-president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production) told The Hollywood Reporter at the time. Though Depp won his subsequent defamation case against Heard, his relationship with Disney remained fractured. 💪 SIGN UP for tips to stay healthy & fit with the top moves, clean eats, health trends & more delivered right to your inbox twice a week 💪 But producer Jerry Bruckheimer hasn't given up hope. "If [Depp] likes the way the part's written, I think he would do it. It's all about what's on the page, as we all know," he told EW last week. "It's a reboot, but if it was up to me, he would be in it." Getting "everybody back" faces another major obstacle: Keira Knightley has been brutally honest about her reluctance to return as Elizabeth Swann. In a 2024 interview with The Times of London, Knightley revealed the franchise was both "making and breaking" her simultaneously, leading to public scrutiny that caused lasting trauma. "The hours are insane. It's years of your life,' the Bend It Like Beckham actress explained. 'You have no control over where you're filming, how long you're filming, what you're filming.' As for what comes next, Bruckheimer told People last year that Disney is planning a complete reboot of the 18th-century pirate saga. He later told EWin May that a separate entry starring Margot Robbie is also on the table. "It's two different movies," he explained. "We hope to get 'em both made, and I think Disney agrees they really want to make the Margot one, too." ‘Scream 7' star Jasmin Savoy Brown reacts to Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera exits: ‘Stressful'
One of the Core Four in the 'Scream' franchise has addressed Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera's shocking exits. In the book 'Your Favorite Scary Movie: How the Scream Films Rewrote the Rules of Horror,' released Tuesday, August 19, author Ashley Collins of the Ankler unpacks how the 'Scream 7' cast picked up the pieces after its two leading ladies departed the slasher. In 2022's 'Scream' and 2023's 'Scream VI,' the Core Four consisted of Ghostface surviving sisters Tara (Ortega) and Sam Carpenter (Barrera) and twins Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding). Advertisement Barrera, 35, was fired from the thriller in November 2023 after sharing what the movie's production company, Spyglass, deemed as antisemitic posts about the Israel-Hamas War. The actress maintains she is not antisemitic. It was soon revealed that Ortega had dropped out of the film, reportedly due to scheduling issues with Season 2 of 'Wednesday.' 13 The Core Four Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding in 'Scream VI.' ©Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection 13 Jenna Ortega in a scene from 2022's 'Scream.' If Scream 7 wasn't going to be with that team of directors and those people I fell in love with, then it didn't seem like the right move for me in my career at the time,' Ortega stated. Brown reflected on moving forward without half of the Core Four for 'Scream 7.' Philippe Bossé 'It's been really sad and stressful,' she said in the book. The 'Yellowjackets' star, 31, also seemingly criticized the reason behind Barrera's departure. 'Often, actors are expected to know as much about politics as politicians. And, in today's day and age, when everything is online, everyone thinks they're an expert in everything, which isn't the case,' Brown shared. 'I also think there is a clear difference between talking politics and standing up for people who don't have a voice. It's not politics, it's human life.' 13 Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), left, and Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter) in 'Scream VI.' Advertisement 'I can't imagine making this movie without Melissa and Jenna,' she continued. 'It won't be the same. On the flip side, I do care about this character so much, and I care so much about the people that care about her. I hope that someday — even if it's 20 years from now — the Core Four gets back together on screen.' Brown plays the daughter of Martha (Heather Matarazzo) and the niece of Randy (Jamie Kennedy), one of the characters in the original 1996 'Scream.' 13 Melissa Barrera attends Paramount's 'Scream VI' World Premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on March 06, 2023 in New York City. Several directors, including Tyler Gillett, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Christopher Landon, pulled out of the horror flick. Courteney Cox will reprise her role as news reporter Gale Weathers and vets whose characters were killed by Ghostface are also making appearances, including David Arquette, Scott Foley, and Matthew Lillard. According to Williamson, the latest installment is 'a standalone,' with the director telling the book author, 'but it'll probably feel more like the original Screams than any of them, which is what I love about it.' 'Scream 7' is scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026.
