How Orlando Bloom is turning into ‘world's worst ex' after Katy Perry split from cringe behaviour to nepo-baby parties

The Irish Sun15-07-2025
HE's failed to reclaim his leading man status, ever since playing a sea-faring adventurer in Pirates of the Caribbean over two decades ago.
But Orlando Bloom has upped his swashbuckling adventures off-camera over the past few weeks, in the aftermath of his and Katy Perry's break-up.

All that's left us wondering: has Orlando, 48, assumed his greatest role yet…as the worst ex ever?
Because as far as he's concerned, his single era's in full Bloom. And he is making sure the world knows about it.
Whether it's air-kissing the Kardashians and co at the Bezos-Sanchez wedding, or partying with
Meanwhile, his very recent ex has been grafting hard on her world tour, Lifetimes, and plastering on a smile following the end of their nine-year relationship.

His jam-packed social diary includes cringe-inducing selfies and videos, and a bleary-eyed appearance at Wimbledon the morning after the night before at Oasis.
Rewinding two months, the actor was there to greet Katy, with their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, in tow, following her all-female, 11-minute space flight with Blue Origin in April.
But behind the scenes, reports spread that the couple's out-of-this-world love had come crashing down to earth, amid rumours that Orlando wasn't happy with Katy's very attention-seeking spectacle.
One month later, their engagement was reportedly over, and they were duly pictured on opposite sides of the world.

And the cringey behaviour didn't stop there, as Orlando - the man who didn't like Katy's public spectacle - decided to run a lap of Venice in the shortest shorts possible.
Needless to say, short-shrift was given to any alleged hopes he had of going incognito.
Days later, the former couple announced in a statement that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.
'They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.'
Days later, they stayed true to their word - with Orlando sharing photos from a family holiday in Italy with Katy, Daisy Dove, and Orlando's son Flynn, 14, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
But after bidding the family arrivederci, the actor was off to the races - seemingly loving every minute of his newfound single life.
Over the weekend, he posted a video from

Singing blissfully into his phone, the actor sparked a mixed reaction. Some loved his unbridled love for the band; others found it just a wee bit cringeworthy.
One commenter wrote: 'Midlife crisis on full display,' while another weighed in: 'Grow up.'
A third added: 'Hasn't done anything since Lord of the Rings.
'Such a boring non-entity.'
Not one to be deterred, the father of two partied into the night, before donning his fineries the following day to attend the Wimbledon Men's Final.
Dressed in a Ralph Lauren suit - with sunglasses to supposedly disguise the inevitable hangover - the actor watched Jannik Sinner beat
Taking to Instagram, he later wrote: 'What a game!!!
'There is something so reassuringly British and life affirming about Wimbledon.'
Once again, his exploits sparked a mixed reaction.
One follower joked, 'You're everywhere,' while another added, 'He's having quite the freeloading summer.'
Meanwhile, in contrast to his very social life, Orlando's acting career hasn't quite sparked the same global attention.
His most recent film, Deep Cover - in which he stars as an improv actor turned undercover agent - was released on Amazon Prime last month.
So far, it's garnered positive reviews, but it's had half the impact of Orlando's social calendar.
I sometimes look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever
Orlando Bloom
What's more, he may have been Hollywood hot property in the noughties - with roles in massive franchises like Lord of The Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean - but he's hardly made a splash since.
He's worked relatively consistently, but his personal life has always eclipsed his professional output.
Very public relationships with actress Kate Bosworth and first wife Miranda Kerr have increased his reputation as a celebrity romancer.
That was then cemented when he got together with singer Katy in 2016 - before proposing in 2020.
They'd initially planned to get married in
Then, after the initial postponement, they said their busy schedules kept getting in the way.
Sources have since said: "They never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything, and Orlando is 'over it.''
Meanwhile, despite Orlando's love for things 'reassuringly British' he's slowly but surely become a parody of an LA cliche.
90 percent vegan
In 2021, he went viral for all the wrong reasons, after taking part in the Sunday Times' Day in the Life series.
On an average day, he said, he woke up at 6.30am and spent time 'connecting' with his then baby daughter.
He said: 'I'll do eye-gazing with her and sing songs.'
Then, his day got progressively madder, as he explained: 'I like to earn my breakfast so I'll just have some green powders that I mix with brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein.
'It's all quite LA, really.'
As well as chanting 'for 20 minutes every day, religiously', he also went hiking and built Lego.
Capping off the universally-mocked feature, he explained why he was 90 percent vegan, opining: 'I sometimes look at a cow and think, that's the most beautiful thing ever'...despite the fact that, 10 percent of the time, he ate red meat.
Orlando was duly mocked to oblivion for his 'normal routine' - and his reputation hasn't quite survived the wreckage.
Now, as he continues to make hay while the sun shines on his very single summer, we're all wondering: are we watching him play his biggest role to date, as the world's worst - and certainly most embarrassing - ex?
Sadly for Katy, Orlando may have hung up his pirate costume decades ago… but it looks like he's more determined than ever to sail the seas.

Olly kicked off with his 2012 hit Troublemaker, before belting out Right Place The Right Time and Please Don't Let Me Go to a packed out crowd. The musician then took a trip down memory lane and told fans: "Ladies and gentleman, I'm taking you guys all the way back, right to the beginning, put your hands up." Olly brought the energy with his cheeky-chappy charisma as he sang his catchy 2010 track Thinking of Me, with the star rocking the stage with his slick moves and turning the crowd into a full-on singalong. The atmosphere was buzzing with festival-goers of all ages attending this four-day music event, with even Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen and her family enjoying the weekend. This is the first year this new festival was held at Bolesworth Castle, a Grade II listed building. The views alone are worth the visit, with plenty of rural beauty to admire while rocking out to the music and enjoying a bite to eat. UB40 also took to the main stage earlier that day and it wouldn't be a UB40 performance without them singing their arguably best know hit Red Red Wine, which got the festival-goers singing along. Another standout star from the line-up was rapper Professor Green, who performed a set on Sunday. Although there was some rain and grey skies at times, it definitely didn't dampen spirits and if anything brought attendees together. Olly Murs breaks silence on baby two 'I didn't expect it to happen this quick' The Lullaby hitmaker looked in good form as he performed in front of a lively crowd, opening with his 2019 track Bad Decisions. He was full of enthusiasm as he sang other well known hits Remedy, Monster and Read All About It while bouncing around the stage. British singer-songwriter Cat Burns also delivered a flawless performance with her silky smooth vocals on Saturday night. Cat commanded the stage as she belted out her hugely successful huge track Go, leaving the crowds wanting more. There was plenty more artists taking to the stage across the weekend - with noughties favourites Scouting for Girls, Britain's Got Talent's Diversity, X Factor double act Jedward, international DJ Nathan Dawe, Artful Dodger and Ocean Colour Scene. Nineties icon Gabrielle brought the sunshine with her during her set, with classics like Out of Reach, Sunshine, Dreams and Rise. The mums, dads, grandparents and kids were up on their feet for this one. There really was something for everyone. The music is not the only thing that this festival has to offer. We headed to the Wonky Lizard tent for some late night comedy and spent some of the afternoon channelling my inner Nicole Kidman in a special Moulin Rouge Cabaret show. The variety of entertainment available will keep you busy all day. There was also bingo, a Greatest Showman circus - with firebreathers and hula hoopers, and a family quiz, while tribute band Oasish paid homage to rockers Oasis in the tent, amid Noel and Liam Gallagher's comeback tour. There was a whole dedicated section to keep children occupied, with a fun fair, rides, a silent disco and even a Bluey, Peppa Pig and Bing meet and greet. The little ones were also able to enjoy some downtime in front of the a big screen playing children's films throughout the day. If you fancy taking some time out, many headed to the Retreat zone which ran from the morning to mid afternoon, offering Thai massage workshops, south baths and yoga which will leave you feeling very zen. The weather did pick up and those who wanted to get a dose of Ibiza headed to O beach, a premium pop up space with everything synonymous with O Beach including iconic round pool beds. There was even hot tubs and a dance floor with dancers putting on a immersive shows throughout the day. The quality of food vendors at the festival made the experience even better knowing we could grab some delicious food and drink without having to leave the venue. We tucked into some piping hot jacket potatoes, freshly made pizzas, and mac and cheese with loaded fries and chicken. And if you thought you'd be waiting hours for some nosh, then you'd be pleasantly surprised to know that queues were quick and efficient. Five reasons to visit Together Again Festival The music has something for everyone, if you want your cheesy pop tunes, your more electric beats, some chilled out country vibes or some throwback beats, then you'll love this. The food is reasonably priced and has a variety - from Greek food, to noodles or Italian, there is something delicious that will keep you full and happy The venue and location is breathtaking and when your attention is not on the stage, then it will be on the gorgeous scenery and the Bolesworth Castle in the backdrop Perfect for all ages whether you're a toddler or over 80. The organisers have really catered for everyone. If you fancy taking some time out you can head to the Retreat zone or if you want a mini rave then Agora tent is for you. There was also baby sensory class, science fun and circus school for the little ones. Chester perfect place to explore if you've got a few hours spare between acts. Cheshire Zoo is around a 25mins drive from Bolseworth Castle and has over 37,000 animals from over 500 incredible species. The city centre also has an array of food spots, stunning architecture and Chester Cathedral is a must visit, with plenty of history. Party-goers who wanted to get up on stage themselves headed to the Wonky Lizard for a bit of Barrioke, while you could rave from morning to night with electric dance music in the Agora tent. And those who wanted to throw things back to the 90s, boogied on down to the Rewind stage, where So Solid Crew, Ultrabeat, Sonique, East 17, Phats and Small and Soul Town performed some bangers. But my favourite had to be the Ranch stage. If you're a Taylor Swift fan and love your country music, this is the perfect little spot where you can don your cowboy boots and straw hat while chilling out on haystacks and sipping on a cold beverage. Singers Emilia Quinn, Fanny Lumsden and Shellyann were exceptional as they belted out smooth tunes and well known tracks. While the Whiskey Brothers performed some incredible covers and finished with an impressive medley - even dropping hits from Eminem and 50 cent into their round-up. The former Love Islander faced a barrage of criticism from followers last month after declaring she hadn't done "one fun thing" so far this summer. 7 Molly-Mae has shared a first look at her £2k a night holiday in Turkey Credit: instagram./"mollymae 7 The star was all smiles as she enjoyed the water slides with her daughter Bambi, two Credit: instagram./"mollymae 7 The family are staying at the 5-star Regnum The Crown Hotel Credit: Regnum The Crown 7 The hotel boasts stunning rooms and a new water park for families Credit: Regnum The Crown This is despite the fact she has been on no expense spared getaways to Dubai, Disneyland Paris and Budapest this year. Now Molly-Mae can add Turkey to her 2025 holiday list, after jetting off with partner Tommy Fury and their daughter Bambi, two. They are staying at the luxury 5-star Regnum The Crown Hotel, which has been "carefully curated to deliver a true family holiday without compromise" according to its promotional information. Taking to Instagram, the 26-year-old shared snaps of them enjoying the hotel's newly unveiled water park, Aqualantis. While Molly-Mae had failed to crack a smile when the family jetted off on the trip, she beamed as she got to the bottom of one slide with Bambi, who looked cute in a pink swimsuit and matching hat to protect her from the sun. Meanwhile her famous mum wore a black bikini and sunglasses as they went on various slides. The star also shared a cute snap of Bambi in bed with Tommy, 26, and captioned it: "Nappy is taken off at any opportunity currently." Another picture saw Bambi on top of Tommy on a sunlounger, with the boxer screwing up his face while his daughter clutched her blanket and soft toy. Molly-Mae captioned it: "My favourite view". The happy trip is in stark contrast to her comments about not having a social life. Molly-Mae sobs as she admits Bambi's 'terrible twos' are breaking her & says 'I don't care who tells me I'm out of touch with reality' She said: "I said to a friend the other day, that I'm going to make it to the end of summer having not done one fun thing." Speaking to her sister, she said: "Zoe, I haven't socialised once. I'm going to get to the end of this summer having not done one social fun thing. "I haven't a life. That's not good is it. Summer will end and I've not done one fun social thing." But her followers were quick to hit out at the star for taking her luxury lifestyle for advantage. One wrote: "I like Molly but she does complain." A second posted: "Wimbledon, lunches, Spain, Dubai, France, Centre Parcs... let's normalise that." Someone else commented: "This was so jarring because she can casually spend 6k in Dior on an outfit to log to Wimbledon then complains she has no time for herself. "'No life', when she has a better life than 99.9 per cent of girls/mums her age," a fourth said. 7 Molly-Mae had failed to crack a smile when they arrived at the airport to jet off Credit: Eamonn and James Clarke 7 But they all seemed a lot happier once they were away Credit: instagram./"mollymae

Rita Ora teams up with Netflix to secretly record new song for massive series

Find out which A-list rapper and singer appeared in the ring at WWE's Summerslam STAR'S NEW TRACK Rita Ora teams up with Netflix to secretly record new song for massive series RITA ORA sure has her fingers in a lot of pies. I can reveal the singer/actress/presenter has recorded a new song for the upcoming second series of Netflix hit Love Is Blind UK. Sources tell me Joy is a powerful track about finding inner peace and is expected to be released in the coming days. Rather than being on her upcoming fourth album, Joy will be a stand-alone song that will debut in a TV trailer for the dating show then drop on Spotify and Amazon Music. A source said: 'It's no secret that Rita loves love so she jumped at the chance to record a track for Love Is Blind UK. Joy is very much a mini side-project rather than being part of the new album. 'The song will be used on the show and be available to stream but there are no plans for a video or to send it to radio.' Honestly, I don't know when Rita finds the time. 7 Rita Ora has recorded a new song for the upcoming second series of Netflix hit Love Is Blind UK Credit: Getty MARIAH'S PRIDE 'N' JOY 7 Mariah Carey glitters as she hits the stage to headline Brighton Pride Credit: Getty 7 American diva Mariah in a shiny ombre dress and pink jacket Credit: Getty MARIAH CAREY glittered in front of thousands of fans in four different figure-hugging outfits as she hit the stage to headline Brighton Pride. The American diva arrived in a shiny ombre dress and pink jacket, which featured the phrase 'protect the dolls' on the back, as she pledged her support to the trans community. Later, during her 90-minute set, she changed into another dazzling minidress, as well as a gold shift and floor-length black gown. Mariah told the crowd: 'The LGBTQ+ family, both as a community and as individuals have been here for me for so long. I just want you to know that I'll always, always be there for you.' Mariah Carey, 56, wears FOUR figure-hugging outfits and puts on leggy display as she headlines Brighton Pride The show, which featured hits including Fantasy and her new single Sugar Sweet, topped off a day of festivities, ahead of the second day yesterday which was headlined by Sugababes. Earlier on Saturday, Attitude magazine kicked off the annual event with a party at the i360 tower which was attended by Dame Kelly Holmes, Caity Baser and Rob Rinder. CARDI'S FLOP RAP 7 Cardi B is preparing to go fight or flight in this bird-themed feathered outfit Credit: Splash LOOKS like Cardi B is preparing to go fight or flight in this bird-themed feathered outfit. The rapper looked ready for take-off as she entered the ring to kick off the opening night of the WWE Summerslam 2025 wrestling extravaganza in New Jersey on Saturday. But rather than singing or fighting, Cardi was simply there to launch the event, teasing music from her upcoming second album Am I The Drama? As she strutted to the ring, a new Cardi track was blasted through the stadium, sending fans into a meltdown online. Her long-awaited follow-up to 2018's Invasion Of Privacy is out on September 19. Hope it's worth the wait. GAGA IN TRIBUTE TO OZZY 7 Lady Gaga reached out to Kelly Osbourne's family Credit: Getty DESPITE being in the middle of a world tour, Lady Gaga is finding time to support others. I'm told she was so moved by the death of Ozzy Osbourne that she sent a huge bouquet to his grieving wife Sharon and the family. The move is a full-circle moment for the two women after Sharon branded the hitmaker an attention-seeker in 2013. That came after Gaga locked horns with her daughter Kelly Osbourne after she criticised the singer for not stopping to greet fans. A source said: 'The flowers must have cost hundreds but Gaga wanted to reach out. 'Gaga has always been a huge fan of Ozzy and the Osbournes – before she was famous she even used to strip to Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath. "She once told Ozzy – he found it hilarious.' The kind gesture comes after Gaga closed her San Francisco show last month by belting out Ozzy's 1980 hit Crazy Train as a tribute. CHAPPELL SLINKS IN 7 Chappell Roan slipped into Oasis's latest London gig undetected Credit: Getty - Contributor SHE'S one of the biggest stars on the planet, but Chappell Roan was able to slip into Oasis's latest London gig undetected. The singer, who released new single The Subway last week, was seen in the crowd at Wembley on Saturday – singing away to the hits. Frank Lampard and Nicole Appleton also snubbed a swanky suite to mix with regular fans. OASIS fever is still sweeping the UK. Yesterday the Y Not Festival in Derbyshire was forced to upgrade tribute act Noasis to the main stage. They were due to play an 800-capacity slot but bosses had a rethink after more than double that number of guests saved the slot on their festival app. The Diana Mixtape musical @ Outernet, London ★★★★☆ 7 Hear'Say's Noel Sullivan and actress Lucinda Lawrence Credit: Supplied YOU might think a stage musical about Princess Diana would be sad, yet The Diana Mixtape is anything but. With five world-class drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race playing the People's Princess while singing classics from Kylie, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish, it's utterly joyous from start to finish. The crowd at Outernet London lapped it up. A shout out also needs to go to Hear'Say's Noel Sullivan and actress Lucinda Lawrence, for their Charles and Camilla romp to Dua Lipa's Physical. Hilarious. Greatest Showman star Keala Settle brought even more fun as Elizabeth II, but ultimately it was the queens who shone brightest. It's on at Outernet until Sunday then The Lowry, Salford, from August 19-21. OLIVIA RODRIGO's 2021 album Sour is still breaking records. The release has become the first album on Spotify to have four songs with more than two billion streams each. Traitor, Drivers License, Deja Vu and Good 4 U have all passed the milestone. Not bad for an album the US star wrote when she was just 17.
