Orlando Bloom to Attend Jeff Bezos' Wedding Alone Amid Rumored Katy Perry Split

Orlando Bloom to Attend Jeff Bezos' Wedding Alone Amid Rumored Katy Perry Split originally appeared on Parade.
Orlando Bloom is attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding this weekend—and he's reportedly going solo.
A source tells Parade that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, will be attending the three-day nuptials in Venice, Italy, alone. His appearance at the wedding follows weeks of rumors that he and the pop star, 40, have called it quits.

Despite the rumors, the source says the couple's relationship status has nothing to do with Perry not being at the wedding.
"Katy will not be able to make the wedding because of her tour. Orlando is supposed to be attending. Katy isn't thrilled about it. She and Lauren are very close, and she wishes she could make it," the source adds.
Perry is currently on her world tour, titled The Lifetimes Tour. Her latest album, 143, which came out in September, was panned by critics. The tour itself has also received poor reviews.
The source notes that the wedding is on Friday, but guests haven't yet been told exactly where the ceremony is taking place. Over the last week, locals in Venice have been protesting Bezos and Sanchez's upcoming nuptials.
Bloom's presence at the wedding follows rumors that he was upset with Perry for going on the heavily criticized all-female space flight aboard Bezos' Blue Origin rocket. Sanchez accompanied Perry on the 11-minute flight, alongside Gayle King and three other women.
According to Us Weekly, Bloom and Perry have "grown apart and aren't living the same lives anymore." Another source added that part of the strain comes from Perry's busy working and touring schedule, as well as the negative reception to Perry's recent endeavors. "Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension," a source told People.
Reps for Perry and Bloom didn't immediately reply to Parade's request for comment.

Vittoria Ceretti Was the Best Dressed Guest at the Bezos-Sánchez Wedding

This past weekend, the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez wedding festivities took over Venice, Italy. The multi-day affair included an impressive crew of celebrity guests, including Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Sydney Sweeney, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti, and many more. While each star brought their best statement looks to the ceremony (and to the various pre- and after-parties), it was Ceretti who emerged as the best dressed attendee. Given the Italian model is no stranger to the high-fashion world (she is a regular on the runways and in various campaigns), it's no surprise that Ceretti nailed Italian glamour throughout the week. It's in her DNA! She kicked off the wedding celebrations on day one in an archival Dolce & Gabbana gown from 2004. The slinky silhouette had lacing along the sides, and was complete with a floral-trimmed shoulder detail; It felt just as fresh and modern in the present as it did when it initially debuted. The next day, Ceretti was spotted doing some shopping in Venice on her down time in a perfect summer frock—a floral chiffon dress in red and white, paired with white ballet flats with ribbon-tied ankles. Around her shoulder, a chic Alaïa bag offered some structure. For the formal ceremony later in the evening, Ceretti went classic in a black gown with a plunging neckline. Around her neck, a striking diamond necklace took the spotlight. (Boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio, meanwhile, wore a sleek black tuxedo, but evaded the paparazzi in a black cap.)

Pirates of the Caribbean star says there have "been talks" about reuniting the original cast for another movie: "We'll have to see where it lands"

It's been eight years since Orlando Bloom last played blacksmith-turned-sea captain Will Turner in Disney's swashbuckling series Pirates of the Caribbean. But there's a real chance he'll reprise in the future, the actor recently revealed -- and he wouldn't be the only one returning... While promoting his new Prime Video movie Deep Cover, Bloom appeared on British talk show This Morning, where he was asked by hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley whether or not we'd ever see himself, Keira Knightley (who plays Will's partner Elizabeth Swann), and Johnny Depp (as Jack Sparrow) onscreen together again. "There's been all kinds of things. Who knows? There's been talk. I can't say anything at the moment, because I really don't know. They're definitely... I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like. I, personally, think it would be great to get the band back together. That would be great. But there are always different ideas, so we'll see where it lands." Bloom has appeared in four of the five Pirates of the Caribbean films so far, though his screentime has varied across them. He was one of the three main protagonists in The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, and At World's End, before he had a cameo role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017. He was absent completely from 2011's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Last we heard, there was a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie and a female-led spin-off starring Margot Robbie in the works, though updates on the latter project have been scarce -- and the Barbie actor actually claimed back in 2022 that it had been scrapped. "It's two different movies," producer Jerry Bruckheimer later told Entertainment Weekly in 2024. "We hope to get 'em both made, and I think Disney agrees they really want to make the Margot one, too." For more, check out our picks of the most exciting upcoming movies heading our way.

Startups are ditching LinkedIn for TikTok to announce funding rounds

The classic funding announcement post is getting the Gen Z treatment. More startups, especially those led by young founders, are moving away from LinkedIn posts or X threads and turning to viral TikToks and short-form videos to stand out, Business Insider recently reported. With traditional media coverage harder to land and social posts quickly vanishing from feeds, founders are rethinking how they announce major milestones. Cluely, the 'cheat on everything startup,' recently raised $15 million and announced it with a shot-for-shot homage to The Social Network. Earlier this year, they also launched with a video that cost $140,000 to produce. The 90-second narrative short, posted to X, shows a man on a first date being fed lines in real time by Cluely. The investment paid off. The video went viral and crashed Cluely's servers, founder Chungin 'Roy' Lee told Business Insider. For Hedra, a startup focused on digital avatars, the announcement video doubled as a product demo. Founder Michael Lingelbach appears in the clip as himself, as a Studio Ghibli character, a Pixar animation, and with a full tech bro makeover, complete with gold chain. Those viral baby podcast videos that were everywhere last month? That was them. Not every announcement needs to be a high-budget production, though. British entrepreneur Grace Beverley turned to TikTok last year to announce two fundraises: one for her activewear brand TALA, and another for Retrograde, her AI -powered talent agency. 'Sign my business's series a funding round with me,' read the caption of one TikTok, where she signed the £5 million deal with a pink fluffy pen. Just a few months later, she returned with a white fluffy pen to sign the €1.9 million round for Retrograde. Instead of relying on blog posts or LinkedIn updates, startups navigating a saturated market may find that a viral video is more likely to attract new customers—or even the right investor sliding into their DMs.
