Amit Sial slams Anurag Kashyap's comment on entourage fee bloating film budgets: 'There is no reason to complain'
Actor Amit Sial has reacted to Anurag Kashyap's comments about actors' demands and entourages inflating film budgets. In a new interview, he said that producers need to take a stand, adding 'no one has kept a gun to your head'. In an interview with the YouTube channel Hindi Rush, Amit spoke about the issue of rising entourage fees in the film industry. He feels a producer should be ready for such things.
Amit says, 'These extra costs and their effects on the film and its overall budget are 100 per cent real. You take someone who is high on a pedestal; you go to him as a producer, knowing damn well who he is as a person and an actor. To expect people to change suddenly into a good actor or person and bring them down to your level just because you wrote a great script is delusional. That person must throw out 500 people like you daily from his life'.
The actor noted that stars who captivate the masses inevitably bring their own set of demands and complexities, adding that one has to find a way to work around these realities.
Amit added, 'I understand that the costs are high, but you can't choose the wrong people for the kind of film you want to make. You want a huge star who will guarantee you an audience; then you have to bear these costs without complaining...There is no reason to complain; don't do it if you feel like something wrong is happening; no one has kept a gun to your head'.
Amit's comments are responding to Anurag's remarks, which he made a year ago. During an interview with Humans of Cinema, Anurag noted that a significant portion of a film's budget often doesn't actually go towards making the movie, sparking a discussion about industry expenses.
He said, 'It's not a holiday; it's not a picnic. A lot of the money that is spent doesn't go into making the film. It goes into the paraphernalia; it goes into the entourage. You're shooting in the middle of a jungle, but one car will be sent to the city three hours away specifically to get you that five-star burger you want'.
When it comes to work, Amit was last seen in Raid 2, alongside Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Rajat Kapoor.

US Open '25: DeChambeau's sand save an all-time memory at golf's most punishing major
It only feels right that the reigning titleholder at the golf championship that, at least in theory, anyone can win is the player who leans into the role of the sport's most relatable everyman, Bryson DeChambeau. And it only feels right that at the U.S. Open — a tournament built to humble and punish the best in the game as much as celebrate them — DeChambeau earned his title by hitting a shot that virtually no man can hit. A plaque now sits outside the bunker on the 18th hole at Pinehurst No. 2, enshrining the spot where DeChambeau placed his name in the history books with what he called 'the shot of my life' — a 55-yard blast from the sand to 4 feet with the trophy hanging in the balance on Sunday at last year's Open. Defense of the title begins Thursday at Oakmont, getting ready to host its record 10th U.S. Open and a course with a longtime reputation for being as difficult as they come. All of which seems to suit the 31-year-old pro golfer/social media star just fine. He recently surpassed 2 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He is making golf feel like everyman's sport, posting videos in which he makes a hole-in-one with a wedge shot over his house, plays with off-the-rack clubs to see how they stack up and tries to beat a scratch golfer while playing left-handed. All of it sounds nutty, but it all goes back to that piece of advice he offered when asked how to replicate the improbable under impossible circumstances — i.e., a 50-yard bunker shot with the U.S. Open on the line. 'Once you get a stock shot down and you're comfortable with it, go have some fun,' DeChambeau said. 'Do a chipping contest with your amateur friends and throw it in the bunker from 50 yards, or throw it in a bush and see if you can get out. Stuff to that extent has suited my game very well.' Saanand Verma recalls Amitabh Bachchan being rude to him: ‘Pehle toh aise kar rahe the jaise janam janam ka rishta hai'
Actor Saanand Verma has worked in several films like Mardaani, Chhichhore, Raid and others. However, he is best known for his comic role in the television show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Saanand opened up about his encounters with Amitabh Bachchan and revealed how he was once rude to him.
