
Thieves cart away BBC ‘bike bureau' in Amsterdam
When Anna Holligan moved to Amsterdam for the BBC, she poured considerable time, effort and money into building her own 'bike bureau' that allowed her to broadcast on two wheels.
The Hague correspondent is distraught, however, after thieves stole the electric cargo bike from outside her house on Saturday. 'Dutch news from the tram doesn't have quite the same ring to it,' she said. Another BBC staff member said: 'I guess they will have to call it the 'on foot bureau' now.'
The BBC has not incurred any financial loss from the theft of the bike, which was double-locked to a wall when it was taken.

Worcestershire man to face trial after denying pensioner attack
